I stopped in yesterday to sit and have a drink and something to eat. Ordered the Burnt Ends Brisket . It was swimming in grease and I just couldn't finish it. The wings were ok that I had ordered as an appetizer but the rest of the meal unfortunately was no very good at all. I'm in the area quite a bit and was hoping it would be good, it just wasn't. The bartender was not too attentive and was more interested in cleaning up to get closed than how I was doing. By the time I signed my cc receipt I still had all my dishes and 2 drinks in front of me. Nothing was ever cleared. Probably wouldn't have bothered me as much if the meal was good. Brisket was $28 for a small greasy dish, cold slaw and Mac and cheese. I don't mind paying as long as it's good. At the end of the bar another employee had his girlfriend waiting for him and he was hugging and kissing her most of the time, came behind the bar 2 times never asked if I needed anything. Wanted it to be good but was very disappointed One of the most disappointing things was during this entire time it seemed like what was the manager was sitting at a table doing paperwork and never got up from his chair once to check on his place. Have dined here a few times and LOVE it...especially their Burnt Ends...tender and tasty!! Just left there! We ate in the outdoor dining area. Our food took a bit to come out, but it was good and worth the wait. Service was excellent! I had a macaroni lasagna with pulled pork that was so good! Fried pickles weren't too overbreaded, but couldn't really taste the pickles. There's an egress window in the outdoor dining area with about drop of about 5-6 and could be incredibly hazardous. My daughter tripped on a chair leg and nearly fell in. I gave this establishment a one star for the following reasons: The BBQ empanadas were absolutely horrible. The crust tasted like they were cooked in old burnt grease. I really need to give these guys an amazing review. Number one- it's a great causal wing spot! Second the staff is amazing. My husband and I ordered wings for delivery. They said it should take about 45 minutes. They were slammed and it ended up taking two hours. We were disappointed but the delivery guy gave us our order for free. The manager told us to call when we received the order and we did stating that the wings were not warm anymore. About 15 minutes later, a knock was at our door. It was the manager with our entire order delivered Hot. He said what we witnessed is not how they do business and he apologized and gave us a gift card. AMAZING bbq food! I absolutely love bbq food but I am by no means a "bbq snob," so if you're from the south, you may disagree with me. I'm honestly not sure how "authentic" this place's bbq is, but for a notherner, I find it impressively delicious! The prices are kind of high compared to a typical restaurant or burger joint, but the portions are gigantic!!! You can easily share the appetizers with a group and the entrees are difficult to finish solo. You will most likely have leftovers! The service can be on the slower side but the wait staff is always so nice and polite. I really recommend this place as a fun dinner or lunch date! This is a very good bbq place. Nice atmosphere. Service is good. Pulled chicken, pulled pork and brisket were very good. Only downside is they seem to run out of certain foods. Was curious about trying this place since the menu looked good. Went there recently with some friends and started out with the burnt ends. They had no flavor or sauce and quite a bit of fat. Ordered some hot dogs, ribs and burger as our entrees. The ribs once again flavorless and salty, the hot dogs were also flavorless even though they were chili dogs. The burger tasted burnt and shockingly no flavor. We also ordered milkshakes that were not thick and pricey. If you enjoy eating flavorless food then this is the place for you. I've been craving burnt ends and have had them from Smokin' Al's many times so I decided to try Dang's today. What I got were soggy chunks of fatty brisket. There was nothing burnt about them except for little pieces of it nor were they ends. For $20, I was very disappointed and will not return. AMAZING!!! Had always seen this place but hadn't made it in until recently. SO glad I had a bbq craving and stopped in. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! The burnt ends were to DIE for. Mac and cheese on point! The service was exceptional! Very friendly and attentive staff! Food was so good dining in that we ordered take out 2 days later and it was just as good!! The barbecue was wonderful, though I'm fairly certain their name refers to the expression you'll make when you see the humongous milkshakes. I'm so glad our server pointed out there are actually two shake menus: the traditional shakes with premium ice cream and toppings of cookies, candies, etc.; and the boosy shakes that also include alcohol. Talk about adult indulgence! My husband loves beef brisket, so whenever we visit a barbecue joint we order brisket anytime it's available. Sadly, that was the only letdown -- it was quite dry -- of our otherwise great meal here. The chicken was moist and flavorful with a perfect smoke ring, and all our side dishes were delicious. I picked up a 3-meat platter (smoked sausage, ribs, and sliced brisket with Alabama white sauce, sides were potato salad and macaroni and cheese). The brisket had a nice crust and the ribs were very tender. Customer service was great as well - my pickup order was ready when I arrived and everyone was polite. Portions were very reasonable. I've also had delivery from them before with similar levels of quality. There are also several good beers on tap and the restaurant will sell growlers. Best bbq place in New York that I have ever been too! It's such a nice place inside great seating a great bar and a lot of different beer selections. The food is out of this world !! We had the cutest waitress she was so nice and helpful I wish I had remembered her name for my review. We got seated right away and drinks came out in less than a minute and we put our order in we got piggy poppers which was a jalapeño popper with pulled pork and smoked Gouda wrapped n bacon, burnt ends is a must to any bbq place you go so we ordered those and a Mac and cheese skillet with crushed Cheeto toppings. Mid-afternoon visit for lunch, I was greeted with a great big hello and welcome to Dangs when I walked in the door (I like stuff like that) after being told to sit anywhere I grabbed a table and waited for the rest of my party to arrive. As soon as they came in and sat at the table we were approached by Racquel our waitress. She was very friendly and happy, she took our drink orders and returned within minutes. After taking some time to review the menus I settled in on the brisket platter with mac and cheese and coleslaw. The order took a little longer than expected because of a computer issue. No big deal in my book. The food was hot and delicious, the brisket was juicy and seasoned perfectly in my opinion. The mac and cheese as well as the slaw was fine also.
