Friday night dinner with my nephew. I ordered the grilled chicken ranch without a bun or bacon. I made sure to alter the waitress that I was ordering Gluten Free meal. The service and staff were great, as usual. We arrived, and had the option to sit wherever we wanted. I believe we best the rush hour. read more

Still so good! Service is always great and the ambiance inside is so nice. I love the way it's decorated. Such a good burger!! I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was cooked perfectly. The fries were also pretty good- and the prices aren't bad either. If you're craving a burger- this is definitely the spot to go to. read more

We came in on Sunday, June 7, 2026. We were looking for a dog friendly place and called ahead and it was not a problem. We were served promptly (I believe his name was Jacob- but not sure) he was GREATand was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delish- I had the PB Burger (My FAVE!) and my boyfriend had the Hangover Burger which we also loved. We split the 50/50 Fries and Onion Rings. We hung out and had a few Blue Point beers and then ordered the Nachos which we also loved. We will definitely return! read more

We had a local burger, crispy garlic parm wings and fiddy fiddy fries/onion ring combos. My favorite where the huge onion rings. Next time I'd get plain wings. Service was quick as they were not busy. I appreciate they had an enclosed dog friendly patio area. We were far from home and needed a place we could all have a relaxing lunch. The ambiance is casual and laid back. Parking in the area is paid only unless you are a local. read more

I guess I should have read the reviews first. I guess that's on me. But the fact that you have multiple people calling about issues with the food platforms (DoorDash, Grubhub, uber eats) and then posting about it and you do nothing to remedy it is not acceptable. The fact that each person offered to pay more money, separate to the order, it's beyond me that you can't figure it out. Most restaurant relish the opportunity to make money on a upcharge. Maybe you're just not a serious restaurant. Just picked up my order. You call that a milkshake? Why not just call in chocolate milk. Glad didn't pay full price since those went straight to the trash. Absolutely disgusting. read more

Local Burger is always reliable! I've never had a bad experience here and I come here often!

The smash cannon ball burger was not tasty at all, I mean I could not tell you what the meat tasted like , serious $10 and All American in Massapequa beat you with their $2 burger . The service was good , the Brussel Sprouts were tasty , just not cooked crispy like I was told . We were there on a taste trial with about 10 of us . The table gave the burgers a 3 out of 5 for taste , service was very good read more

Food is amazing and wait time isn't short. Many items for all ages and great service. Milk shakes are very good and the local sauce is some of the best sauce I've ever had. The seats are very comfortable and the TV's are nice to watch a game and overall is a calm place. read more

Burger burger burger baby! Woohoo! Great stuff here. Quality good ol American fare here. Burger joints beware, this place is fire. Grass fed burgers and dogs?!?! I'm here ALLL day. Brussels sprouts cooked to delicious perfection? I say yes I can come here, get my cheat meal in, and not feel totally guilty either. Sketch and fun arrangements of burgers and dogs, fries to compliment, and why not, lemme get a shake with that! If ONLY, they'd switch over to frying in beef tallow in lieu of those dreaded seed oils, then that's a rap, this place would be firing on all cylinders. Service is super friendly and every time have always been happy to make simple accommodations; don't want the bacon and sauce on your Brussels? No problem, on the side. Want to give a local beer a sample? No problem. This place comes together nicely with great food, great service, and fun and comfortable atmosphere. I'm not from Bayshore, I'm a good 25-30 min away and gladly will be coming back for more. Highly recommend. 5/5. And yes, I signed up for their rewards read more

I have been here many times and they have been in Bay Shore for many years. As someone who doesn't eat animal products, my review comes from that point of view. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. It is table service or you can get takeout/delivery. The menu items are very reasonably priced. There is a full bar, and three seating areas (high tops, regular tables, and back/outdoor/enclosed). The bathrooms were clean and the service is very friendly. There is only really one menu main that I am able to get, and that is the quinoa burger, but I am very appreciative that there is that option. You can also "build your own burger," so that allows for variations each time which makes it a little bit more exciting. The sides are also good, and I appreciate that the "brussels sprouts with bacon" can be made without the bacon, it's not pre-made. The drinks were also very good! When I'm craving a quinoa burger, I know I can get one here! read more

It was just okay. They were slightly busy but not much, about half full if that. 20 minute wait for a burger and truffle fries. Fries were sorta stale, almost zero truffle flavor, and were lukewarm; the Parmesan they use is also the cheap plastic-feeling kind. The burger was just meh, not very seasoned at all, almost no salt on it, no other seasoning flavor. Mostly just tasted like browned beef. The bacon wasn't fresh (to be expected for the most part), but it certainly didn't have a great bite; it was a bit leathery. The whole flavor profile and quality level is kinda just like a slightly worse shake shack. Prices were decent for 2026 standards though. read more

I would come here more if you had wifi. I mean what the heck?! Glass steel and concrete.

Having been to the location in Patchogue, I was familiar with the menu. When my coworker said she was ordering here for lunch I deceived to order with her. I ordered the Captain Chicken and truffle fries. Captain Chicken was hand breaded chicken with slaw, pickles and chipotle ranch. It was just okay. I didn't taste any chipotle ranch, and it was smushed. The truffle fries didn't have any truffle taste at all. They tasted very basic. I had garlic aioli on the side which was decent in flavor. My coworker created her own burger with mushrooms and cheddar. She said the mushrooms weren't fresh, and they tasted canned. She also ordered sweet potato fries which she enjoyed. An average lunch. Would order here again if my coworker wanted to, but it's definitely not my first choice for places on Main Street. read more

I ordered a burger with lettuce, fried egg, pickles, mushrooms, and peanut butter on the side. (I saw a burger on the menu with PB and wanted to try it but didn't want to commit to a whole burger with it) The burger came with no mushrooms and PB on it, so I had to return it. Then it came out fine - with the exception of it literally being the smallest burger I've ever came across. The width of the burger was the same size of the lettuce - no exaggeration. Needless to say, I was starving by the time I finished it it maybe 4 bites? So I ordered another dispute not wanting to but I was in a rush and hungry. The second i would put money was even smaller than the first. I will NEVER return for a burger. read more

This was my first time here . My husband is a huge burger lover so we came here with my daughter and son in law to celebrate his 70 th BD! The decor is pretty cool with a lot of LED lights. There's plenty of seating , regular tables and high tops . The atmosphere is super casual! We were greeted by a very friendly server and were quickly seated . You can order beer and cocktails here so we started off with some drinks , I had the Mango Margarita and my husband had The Peach Bourbon Tea, both made were excellent and well made ! Besides burgers they have several chicken selections , hot dogs , a variety of sides and milkshakes . Onto the amazing burgers ! My husband had the Shroom Burger stuffed with Swiss, bacon , mushrooms and sautéed onions and I had the Cannonball , bacon , cheddar cheese lettuce, tomato, pickles , onion ring with BBQ sauce .. perfectly prepared and so,so delicious! We ordered several sides to share , onion rings , these were nicely crisp , sweet potato fries , so sweet almost like desert , crispy Brussel sprouts and Parmesan Truffle fries ... they were all scrumptious! Also the prices are reasonable , for your money you are getting a well made grass feed burger ! You can't go wrong! I I highly recommend you trying these burgers , we certainly enjoyed our meal and plan to return! read more

Ordered a burger and fries through DoorDash.... Didn't know if I'd like the Cajun seasoning and DoorDash didn't have an option for it on the side.... I called the kid answering the lhone needed to ask the manager .. who never actually came to the phone... the kid came back saying " the company doesn't allow them to do seasoning on the side" and he couldn't give it to us for free.... We said ok? We don't want it for free what should we add to the order to charge us for it... then tells us there's no way to order it bc they told allow it to be served on the side ?............. We ordered fries we paid for them? Why can't we get the seasoning on the side ? And pay for it ? ... are the fries pre seasoned and frozen ? ..... I don't get the issue we canceled the order bc are they hurting that bad for money they couldn't put a side of seasoning even if purchased ? " it would be a hassle to do it " I am still very confused what's so difficult about taking a spoon of seasoning and putting it in a to go sauce cup ....... read more

Our go to burger spot in long island. We've only ordered take out and sometimes the fries are extremely soggy. Other times it's quite perfect. The burgers are smash so you cannot adjust the temperature - they are medium well. Regardless, they are very juicy and far from dry. We tend to order the sweet potato fries without the cinnamon and sugar. The truffle fries are eh. The onion rings are legit. read more

Now that summer is over and the BBQs are done, we were craving a burger. Local Burger is very fairly priced and good quality restaurant for a quick dinner. I had the atomic burger, which had jalapeños, bacon, cheese, onions and pickles, with sriracha mayo. It was very good. My fiancé ordered the local burger, which had cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles. My only complaint is that the burgers are pretty small. We each had the "Fiddy, Fiddy" as our side, which is a mix of French fries and pinion rings. I'm looking forward to trying their chicken sandwiches. read more

We've been wanting to come here for a while based on reviews and pictures. The only unfortunate part was we decided to take our family so a family of 7 it was pricey and not worth it. Let's start with the good. Lemonade- not sweet at all but I enjoyed it! Tasted very fresh. Unfortunately many members in the family didn't like it so it went to waste. Local Burger- it tasted okay homemade similar to what I would make at home. Which isn't a good thing seeing as I could've made it at home for less lol! Brussel sprouts- they were delicious! The captain chicken Now the bad! Brisket sandwich - just disgusting! It was boiled and flavorless. I don't even know how they sell this. Salt vinegar fries- didn't taste any vinegar and it was so oily! We also ordered truffle and reg fries oily and all the fries were super soggy. I don't mind a soggy fries but each fry was just oily! Onion rings- So oily and the batter was so thick. Mac and cheese bites- burned flavorless oily and dry inside Really bad! Fried pickles- thick cut of pickles which I like but again oily. I believe it was just truly an off day for them. The amount of oil on the food suggest they fried everything when the oil was not hot at all. Leaving us with soggy oily food. We definitely won't be back! read more

Awesome place that offers top notch burgers! Very accurate with to go and to stay orders, cool place on the south shore.

Delicious burger spot on the South Shore. They have a really creative menu with toppings like mac & cheese, peanut butter (haven't tried that yet..) and other cool combinations, plus you can design your own with basically anything you want. Really glad to see they have gluten free buns now. Their dipping sauces for the fries are also top notch and the maple mayo should NOT be skipped - trust me. Good burger reasonably priced Also a very respectable pulled pork Decent drink and beer list. Family friendly. What needs improvement: Turn down the music, The night we went there the service was way too slow. I could see my server behind the bar and in what seemed like a back office. It Probably added 20 plus mins unnecessarily wait time to meal, and it was not a busy night. Also they need double doors, the place is small, every time the front door opens an artic blast rolls through Bottom line, a good decent value I just can't give it a 4 or better at this time until theY make some improvements read more

One of my faves for a go to burger! I and my family have been longtime supporters of local businesses and continue to do so despite the COVID-19 crisis we are facing. We understand the importance of supporting these businesses during this most troubling time. While the burgers were good, my issue with Local Burger of Bay Shore was that I was charged seven dollars for a side of soggy onion rings and they only made five. To charge someone for a side of fries (all sides were soggy) when you call yourself a burger place is one thing, but to completely rob them is another. Seven dollars for five onion rings?! Does that sound even remotely appropriate? On top of that: when I called to inquire about this issue, I was made to feel as though I was in the wrong. Very dismissive. Sad to see this disregard and I, as well as my family will most likely not return to this establishment. read more

One of my favorites on Main. Local burgers are bomb, the fifty fifty with onion rings +fries is my favorite cause I don't have to choose just one lmao. The shakes are good too, and they have malt which is a game changer. Malt powder in shakes is such an underrated gem, I wish more shake spots understood this outside of diners. Local gets is tho. Nice spot to be at especially on my lunch break WFH days (I work a hybrid schedule). Been my fave spots for the last few years. Cheese fries are one of my faves when I don't get the fiddy/fiddy. Eating inside is cool too, it's not a super cozy sit down, but it's nice for a quick bite that turns into a long lunch break. This spot is def of my favorites to go to off Main. read more

Local Burger - Atomic Burger Crispy Brussels Sprouts - Burgers Near Me - Bay Shore, New York

There's nothing better than knowing that the things you buy, food you eat, and beer you drink, is made locally. It just gives off this feeling of do-gooder-ness that you know you're supporting a (Long Island) location. What's even better is getting to experience this all under one roof. That's kinda how things roll at Local Burger Co., the spot that was dinner for my girlfriend and I last month. This wasn't my first time devouring a burger from LBC (I had tried them once before in their newer Patchogue storefront), but they did originate in Bay Shore so it was nice getting to try their stuff from the source. It was slightly later when my lady and I strolled in so there were plenty of seats available. The place has a cozy/contemporary feel to it that also seems to throw in notes of an almost rustic, barbecue setup. Needless to say, I liked it. Our waitress was a super chill (and mildly eccentric) person that added a little extra to the evening, in a good way. She even offered to give us as many dipping sauces (they have a lot) as we wanted, without charging the small fee that is entailed (59 cents) after the first one. Pretty cool, I must say. She did have to come back a few times as we weren't entirely sure what to order at first. Local's menu has a nice variety of burgers (including a build your own option), different style fries, several sides, and a full bar of drink choices. The menu also shouts out to all the local places that help contribute to making Local so...um, local. Oh, and they rock the Local to Locals logo on their door which is awesome to see. Had enough locality yet? Good, because we haven't even dove into what we ordered. The namesake burger (The Local) was chosen by the lady (American cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles, local sauce, sans tomato) while I went with the Bleu Ribbon selection (bacon, bleu cheese, sautéed onions). Add on a side of Cajun fries (with chipotle ranch and garlic aioli dipping sauces) as well as a side of mac-n-cheese to finish off the edible choices. Both burgers held plenty of flavor, especially mine with those onions and bleu cheese coming in strong. I will note the patty isn't huge and I can't say it entirely shines through its toppings, but the whole burger does come together nicely nonetheless. Oh and those fries were crispy with just a little zing of heat while the mac held creamy goodness in each bite. I washed it all down with a DUBCO light lime that helped round out this locally-based meal, at a reasonable price, I might add. Overall, Local Burger Co. is a superbly solid food establishment that grabs a nice hold of the idea of local businesses working together. From there, they've built a strong menu of choices with good service at a nice price. I'm still hesitant to give up the five stars for them (I wanted just a little more out of that burger flavor), but consider Local (either location) as a place I'd frequent and one that isn't out of the realm of possibility to get to that five star level, from me anyway. For now, just keep rockin' the local love, Local. read more
