I saw nearly every specialist you can imagine--primary care, ENT, orthopedics, cardiology, neurology, rheumatology, neurosurgery. Every test and scan came back normal. I was repeatedly dismissed, even as I grew more symptomatic and more desperate for answers. But I knew something wasn't right. Thankfully, I had an appointment with Dr. Barton that I had nearly forgotten about. I'm so glad I didn't cancel. Dr. Barton took the time to carefully review my MRI and listen to my symptoms. He was the only doctor who thought outside the box and recognized that muscle spasms--clearly noted on my MRI--could be causing many of my symptoms. He referred me to Boris Prilutsky, a specialist in medical massage. I went in with low expectations - but after just one session, I was able to walk farther than I had in four months. I've been on the path to healing ever since. Dr. Barton and Boris identified a root cause that most of the medical system completely overlooks. No one else had the insight, experience, or compassion to recognize what was really going on. I'm deeply grateful to Dr. Barton for helping me turn a corner when I had nearly lost hope.

There's a kind of warm energy buzzing through it. When I walked in, a few staff members immediately checked in with me--offered help, asked if I needed anything, and seemed like they meant it. It's the kind of place where you don't feel like an inconvenience for just... being there. Dr. Barton himself? Warm, sharp, unhurried. He asked specific questions, zero judgment, no rush--just actual conversation. You can tell he likes his job and takes it seriously. Also? He's a lot more personable than you'd expect from someone who's double-board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology. (Which sounds a bit like a Marvel super-scientist resume, but I digress). ‍‍ Bottom line: if you're looking for a doctor who listens, thinks out loud with you, respects your time, and actually gives a damn--Dr. Barton checks every box, and then some.

No one was there and the office had a lock box on the door. Went to the office next door and was told that they were not there. I did some research and found out that Dr Christopher Aho was in trouble for substance abuse and was being sued for malpractice. His license was suspended and his practice was closed. No thank you! I will go to Cedars-Sinai for the best Neurosurgeon! This page needs to be taken down because it is false advertising! Never go to any physician unless you research them first. From the beginning, Dr Aho was pretty amazing, he was very patient with me he explained everything to help me understand. He answered the ton of questions I had and He took his time, he didn't make me feel rushed, like some drs can. His office manager Sylvia was also very helpful and helped tremendously with all our paper work needs and appointments. If I had to say one negative thing, it would be the office can be a lil hard to get a hold of at times. They have both made our brain journey very smooth. And my husband is doing amazing!

Avoid Dr. Oh if you have epilepsy or any condition where medication consistency matters…read more My experience with her has been rude, dismissive, careless, and medically dangerous. From the beginning, I found her condescending and unpleasant to deal with. After reading other reviews, that does not seem to be an isolated impression. The bigger issue is not her personality. It is the repeated failure to handle my epilepsy medication responsibly. Multiple times, my prescription was not renewed when it needed to be. In one instance, I was told her license had expired, and no one notified me for over a week. Because of that, I went two days without my epilepsy medication. That is not a paperwork mistake. That is dangerous. Epilepsy medication is not Tylenol. I cannot casually stockpile it because it is a controlled substance. Because her office failed to communicate properly, I had to drive around Los Angeles while experiencing auras and mini-seizures trying to find someone who could help me get my medication filled. That situation could have led to a full seizure, loss of my driver's license, serious injury, or death. When I explained this to her office, they did not seem to care. I was essentially told it was too difficult to notify patients about the license issue. That answer is disgusting. A similar situation happened again recently. I called her office and learned she had been placed on leave for the month, and once again my prescription had not been renewed. I had to go through urgent care just to get medication I should never have been left without. I was off my medication for more than a day again. A neurologist who treats epilepsy patients should understand that missed medication can be life-threatening. Dr. Oh's office treated it like an inconvenience. Based on my experience, I would not trust Dr. Oh with epilepsy care. I would not recommend her to anyone who needs reliability, urgency, or basic concern from a doctor. Her care has been dismissive, careless, and unsafe.
