After grabbing a cheesesteak from East Coast Eddie's, I can definitely say I love them! You get service with a smile and quick too. I ordered the original with provolone, came with fries. The sandwich itself was sizable, lots and lots of meat, peppers, onions and melty cheese. The meat was seasoned perfectly, and tender with crispy edges. Yummers!! The pile of fries was enormous! I normally don't like thick cut fries. These were great --- fully cooked through with a good crunch outside and good potato flavor throughout. They appeared to be hand cut. Right amount of salt, not greasy. In fact, I took half home and air fried them for lunch the next day. Very little oil on the surface and crisped up nicely. Judging by the other reviews, Eddie's is apparently the real deal and high quality for a cheesesteak. All I know is this food was really good and reasonably priced. I am going back whenever I get the craving!

I was picturing thicker slices of sourdough or maybe from a boule loaf, but it's just sandwich bread. It was however, delicious. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes on a late Sunday afternoon, and spent $13 with tip for a sandwich that came with a pickle and a drink, not bad! The bakery case with all the desserts looked amazing, I'll definitely be back to try more at some point. There's ample parking with an attached paid lot and street parking if you can find it. My wife picked up 2 sandwiches for us to enjoy at the music show at Shute Park. My roast beef, swiss cheese, light horseradish, mayo, lettuce and tomato was terrific. She told me it was warm so I ate it after she arrived. It really reminded me of Pot Belly, and I have always considered them top of the class when comparing Sub Shops. My wife was thrilled that a hummus sandwich was also on the menu. She did state the hummus was not spread on the roll allowing one to have hummus in each bite. She stated that it was thick in the middle and none on the ends. We will be back, as it is also affordable...but most importantly...it tastes great and has tons of flavor.

One of the best Cuban sandwiches I've had…read more The Staff are super welcoming and attentive right when you walk in. For ordering, you go up to the counter and they take your order. Once you're done, you sit and they will bring it over. There is also a jug of ice water you self serve from. Seating is a little limited, as the restaurant isn't huge, but hasn't been an issue when I have gone. They also can open up the doors/windows which is really cool when it's nice out. The Cuban came on toasted rustic roll, which was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The pork shoulder and ham were cooked perfectly and had such an amazing flavor. The grain mustard and Swiss cheese really brought everything together though. The chips were nice, salty, and very crunchy. Nothing crazy to write about, but I still enjoyed them. Overall, it's probably one of the best Cubans I've had, but I'm not an expert on them. I've been back a second time and it was just as good as the first!

You know, sometimes the world just makes you more grateful for what you have…read more It may throw something at you like a subpar suburban mini chain using Boboli crust, foisting off quarters of personal pizza as "slices," and basically chucking a garlic knot at your head for suggesting that the family-first, live-laugh-love branding may not be enough to hold together a business. That same world may put people in line ahead of you who haven't figured out that their pizza and appetizers aren't made by pure magic and that making the brave decision to pick up your order didn't absolve a kitchen full of workers of the time and effort it took to make a meal for you. There's something you can do very easily if you don't feel that pickup is worth a tip: Drag your lazy, tasteless, hairy-knuckled Pacific Northwest carcass next door to the Plaid Pantry, pull a frozen pizza out of the freezer in the back of the store to the far left, pay for it, and take it home to cook for yourself. But, typically, the world just gives you that pizza shop around the corner from your family's place on the outskirts of civilization that tried to make you a calzone when you first moved in, has made you pizza for every family occasion since, and has managed to put together an Italian cold cut sub with no mayo and pizzas with no ranch dressing. When you realize that each day brings a steady stream of morons up and down Glencoe just looking for reasons to tell you how ignorant they are or how they can diminish once-enjoyable experiences for you, it makes you cherish the good folks who've been blending your apple and cherry ciders without question for years, selling a steady stream of local beers, giving kids arcade games to play and a place to gather, and offering slices at lunch and long tables for family and team dinners. Jersey Girl gets the basics right, both with its food and its surrounding community. It keeps familiar employees around for years and remembers a time when the pandemic kept the numbers painfully low. It doesn't taste exactly like other pizza out there because, as it turns out, each pizza isn't supposed to taste the same. If Dimo's tasted like Baby Doll, there'd be no purpose to it. If Lovely's tasted like Apizza Scholls, it would be a travesty. If Ranch tasted like Atlas? Why bother? Jersey Girl has become a neighborhood favorite on its own merits, and it isn't asking people to make pilgrimages out here to justify its existence. If you wouldn't go to a Western Hillsboro strip mall for pizza normally, don't feel the need to do so now. But if you're in town and you're looking for a pizza multiple steps above a chain and less formal than Pizzario's neapolitan pies, enjoy your stay and tip accordingly.

The amount of toppings were great on both the large boardwalk pizza and the half pep and half cheese. The crust? Had a strange minerality or slight chlorine taste to it. Not sure if it was the crust but all the pizzas had it. The cheese on both tasted amazing and fresh. My young daughter (elementary school age) after this however only taking just one bite the same day and a day later reheated for dinner has now decided that "I don't like pizza" which is kinda wild considering she likes others. This is also an establishment that tries to force tips upon pickup for a food which is honestly dumb and annoying but works for them as my wife didn't want to press the custom button and give 0$ even though she should have. I think this needs to be stopped and is a shame on this business. Less so than the unfortunate taste of the pizza, but perhaps to some even more of an issue.

Extra amazing because you can choose the bread and I obviously choose white. I also love their red, white, and blue bread which is cranberry, white chocolate, and blueberry. Goes perfectly for French toast. But also their cinnamon chip would be great for that too. I'm obviously a HUGE fan of this place. And customer service is top notch. You're always offered a slice of bread upon arrival. The price for bread is more than a grocery store but definitely worth it for me!
