I was pretty excited to try this place out. It was a very busy Saturday just around 12:30. There…read morewere lots of girl groups celebrating the holidays. This is a great place to do this. There is an abundance of wine to choose from. Our server was rushed (and they were packed) and I didn't get a lot of direction on the wine so I just ordered a white sampler and just asked for three dry varieties. The first one I tried (Collan) was not dry in my opinion. The Triple was drier but my favorite was the Fume. I really got hints of pinion in this final one and ordered another 5 oz. of it. We tried the avocado bruschetta to start. It was four big pieces of good bread but was more avocado toast than bruschetta. I would probably go with a different appetizer next time. We both tried the burgers. I went with the mushroom-gouda one. It was over done and not seasoned at all. The gouda was nice and gooey and the mushrooms were seasoned well. Fries were OK. The table next to us had a couple of the flatbreads and I would try those next time. Back to the service. It was OK but our server had a tendency to just show up at our table and just stand. I would come back to try more appetizers and a flight of their red offerings. I also want to know more about the winery. Maybe after the busy holidays.

An impromptu girls night turned into so much fun! The food and apps were delicious, and our server,…read moreAlex, made sure we were well taken care of. The food was so good we didn't even stop to take pictures, but we had a combination of the Prosciutto Fig, and Goat Cheese Flatbread, Garlic Fries, and the Friday Prime Rib Dinner. Of course, we couldn't visit a wine bar without drinking wine. I had a glass of Dark Desire and ended with the Rockin Raspberry Sangria. Everything was perfect! I can't wait to go back again. It's been a while since I have been here, and I loved all of the holiday decorations!

This is a cute winery. It's in an old, historic church and has the original windows, floors, and…read morewalls. April is the new owner and just bought it. Sure hoping to get the carpet pulled up and fix the floors which definitely sag. I tried three of the wines. I bought a glass of the MallowDramatic, which is a sweet moscato (no bubbles) that tastes like marshmallows. As hot as it is (and yes, even inside it was hot) a sweet wine was so apropos. I really liked the "Accents" which is a Cynthiana grapes, which are usually used for a rich full-bodied wine (and is predominantly from the Ozark region) such as a Cabernet, but in this case I wouldn't say it was a Cabernet, but it is a full-bodied and expressively earthy wine with notes of tobacco and tart cherries. The description says oak, but that's not what I was tasting. I am drinking a glass now at home on my couch (yes I bought a bottle) and I once again tasted it to describe. It definitely paired well with a sweet chocolate treat. All their wines are $24.00.

I would like to preface this by saying we experienced this wine and it's purveyors at the Tulsa…read moreState Fair and not the Stroud location. That being said, the wine was incredible! We tasted 8-10 different types, and the individual serving us was quite knowledgeable of the styles, helped us match our tastes, and really made it an experience. The Moscato was by far our favorite, and had a beautiful flavor. They also explained how it is made, sourced, and even told us about their upcoming location change. We are excited to go try their new place at Monkey Island when it comes available.

What a great event!!!…read more First of all, this year's event was hosted at Cain's (dressed up in mighty fine party duds. The ole' gal was looking smashing). Secondly, two different seminars were offered if you needed coaching up on fine spirits: The Evolution of Craft Whiskey (put on by CORSAIR) and Whiskey 101 (presented by Ranch Acres). Will from CORSAIR was hilarious and passionate about his product. Third, whiskey, whiskey, whiskey....and craft cocktails by some of the best mixologists in Tulsa...and some mighty fine eats from Jeff Marlow, the Community Food Bank's Chef. Finally, what a worthy cause, the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. The video clip that was played before the auction brought tears to my eyes. What a much needed organization. Our favorite discoveries had to be the complex and interesting Oilfire (an American Rye) along with the crazy Quinoa Whiskey (yep you read that correct) and the Citra Double IPA Hopped Whiskey (both from CORSAIR). Every food item from Chef Jeff's kitchen was delicious but I think the Bruschetta and the Goat Cheese Mashers were my favorites. I also have to give a shout out to Mollycoddled Hash Slinger (what a great name) and their toffees! Thanks to the Tulsa Yelp team for allowing us this wonderful and fun opportunity. We played along with the Whiskey Pull and I think we came out a bit ahead. Fun, fun times. Thanks again Yelp for making our invitation possible!

They completely transformed Cain's Ballroom into a whiskey wonderland, and it was awesome! We entered and were greeted by a huge team and given commemorative glasses and a token to vote on our favorite mixologist of the night--we had to try the drinks a few times just to be sure about our vote there were more whiskies than I've ever seen in my life available to taste and learn about, along with other liquor and treats from the local area (tried something that tasted like pumpkin spice Baileys that is made in Jenks that i will HAVE to follow up on). I didn't make the first seminar, but did attend the Whiskey 101, which taught me everything I had ever hoped to know about the drink and how it's made. We enjoyed incredible gourmet food and desserts and left full and warm despite the cold night--I hope the food bank made alllll the dollars because they do incredible work for this community, and I was thrilled to be able to celebrate with them at Giving Spirits.
