The server was under age of drinking and had no experience with any of the wines. She was in her hello kitty pajamas. Her pouring was inconsistent and she kept asking if the wine tastes old or bad stating she could open a new bottle. Oh man... we are leaving this winery and I don't want to leave! Bob, Lora, and Jonie (Rebecca, can't wait to meet you!) made us feel so welcome. We drank merlot. We learned what tannins are. We practiced the quadratic equation. Where else can you do that? This winery is a gem and I honestly think we just made lifelong friends and drank some delicious wine in the process. They are launching a wine club soon and will be shipping to 40 states so be sure to check that out! If you want the best day ever and to learn some really neat history of this truly international, caring, cultured family, come spend the day with these folks. Make sure to check out Bob's article on the wall. It's RV friendly. For food, they have a cheese plate in 2 size options, including m&ms. My wife and I were in Tulsa for a family wedding. When I read that there was a decent winery outside of Muskogee, we made the trip down there. Bob greeted us as we arrived at the winery. Walked inside and decided we would have the dry red wines tasting. We spent about an hour tasting and talking with Bob about his wines. By the end of the tasting, I had decided to buy a bottle of the barrel reserve Chambourcin wine to bring back to the hotel for later that night. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. read more

On our visit our personal favorites were the Estate Cabernet and the 007 Blackberry. They grow their own grapes right outside and offer great lessons and stories on their wines. This winery in the foothills of the Ozarks, outside of Muskogee, was a delightful place to stop for a wine tasting. The vintner & his wife, who poured the wine, were a delightful couple; as a side note, he is also a Episcopal priest of a local parish in town. You can do a wine tasting or a large taste(which in Oklahoma is enjoy a glass of wine) for $5. We especially enjoyed the 20 Chances Chardonnay & the Purple Martin Cab. But be sure to ask for a taste of the Fern Mountain Sweet, a full bodied red wine that would go well w/a chocolate dessert. We came in to try the new wines. We came in, and sat there for a while, while they changed out some wine fermenting in the front room. There was a "lady" that saw us come in, saw us sit down, made eye contact with me AND I told her I would move closer to the register. We sat there for another while, and a whole other couple walked in at least 15 minutes after we had been sitting there waiting, she immediately handed them a menu (we still don't have a menu at this point), and then they took their order without ever giving us a menu or even saying anything to us. I am highly disappointed, I have supported this winery SO MUCH and recommended them to so many people. I will not be doing that in the future. read more

Stumbled upon this quaint little wine shop while visiting the local town. Came across the owner who is as nice as can be and stopped in for a tasting. Definitely quite as vast selection of wines between dry and sweet to choose from. $5 for five samples is a good deal, but never been to a place where I had to pay for a 'tasting' but blamed in on the size and location of the place. Only issue I had is it seemed the employees need some lessons in customer conversations had a few awkward moments of like (what am I supposed to do). However the wines were amazing and ended up leaving with a bottle. read more
