I was nervous for my first class, but they took me and treated me no differently than the girls who had been dancing since they could walk. I was hooked. I danced here all through middle school and high school. I was well prepared for college level dance classes. I all but lived here from ages 16 to 18. Their niche is definitely school age from kindergarten through 12th grade. Since I was diagnosed with epilepsy and officially off the roads for 6 months, I find myself back in the neighborhood for the next 6 weeks. I stopped in today asking about adult classes. There were only 3 and none of which were at convenient times. I explained my situation and was offered the opportunity to take class with the older teens. I'm the exception, not the rule. The fact they were willing to accommodate me reminded me why I loved this place so much. I hadn't set foot in there for a decade and it was like I had just taken class yesterday. Maybe it's my nostalgia talking, but I would whole heartedly recommend this studio to anyone with kids looking for a solid studio. It's small, so the attention isn't spread out. Jonnie, the owner, is wonderful and always happy to help where she can. There's a performance company for the more serious students. There's a relatively small group of teachers so it's easy to get to know them and get used to their style of teaching. Should I have children and find myself living here, I'd send them to this studio without a second thought.

Found this spot via a Facebook Ad. So it appeared to be two dance studios for the classes. The…read moreinstructors were nice and friendly. I will admit the annoying part here was paying 20 a person, per class, and coming with my own partner, but having to dance half the time with another partner. For that reason I'll probably do a private session. Though I get the intent to help everyone that comes, that super annoying. But the instructors are patient and easy to understand and in each class you learn 4-6 moves. Also, it's a bit weird when they have two classes going on in one studio. Makes it hard with limited space but big classes. Parking is fine. Once you leave the parking lot, you walk through a hallway, and the studio is around the back(or you can just park in the back and walk up the stairs).

I came across Ballroom Impact Atlanta online, and they were offering a free introductory wedding dance class. Me being me, I messaged them before signing up, and I'm glad I did! Evidently, the site should've been updated to remove that promotion, but the person I spoke with said they'd honor it since I brought it to their attention. Our instructor was fantastic -- patient, professional, and encouraging. I have a bit of dance experience and tend to pick things up quickly, but my fiancée... not so much. Still, the instructor was incredibly kind and supportive, helping her feel comfortable with the basics. By the end of the session, she was performing the basic waltz like she'd invented it herself! The only slight awkwardness came after the class -- it seemed the person who gave us our introduction hadn't been informed about the free lesson arrangement, which made for a brief, uncomfortable exchange as we were leaving. But honestly, that was minor compared to how great the overall experience was. I would highly recommend Ballroom Impact Atlanta to anyone looking for professional, quality dance instruction. The packages can be a little steep, but they absolutely deliver in terms of service, care, and expertise.

My daughter started in the recreation…read moreprogram and within a year joined the competitive team, Footnotes has amazing teachers that really get to know the dancers. Dancing is such a huge part of my daughters life. She has grown so much in her dance technique and confidence. Every year she improves and is challenged! The atmosphere is warm and supportive. My daughter has made lifelong friends with the dancers and the teachers. We are looking forward to another year with Footnotes!
