I've utilized this location for running & work-related shoe needs over the past 6 years, including watches & socks. Very convenient! I am a Master's Elite runner for the Atlanta Track Club Master's Team, so typically need new shoes every 2 months for the amount of miles I put on them. I've purchased both Mizuno & Brooks shoes from here with no issues, and a Garmin watch. Within the past 2 years, I've had to order specialty shoes for my side job (I wait tables twice per month for fun money and to help a friend out due to short staffing issues nationwide). I got plantar 2 years ago due to the waiting job and being on my feet for 7 hours straight (oddly, I can run 60 miles per week with no issues but being in your feet 7 hours straight requires additional support). I had asked around about non-slip comfy shoes, and a fellow teammate who also serves mentioned the Hoka Bondi slip resistant shoes. They are a specialty shoe that are not found in most stores. She referred me to this location to order. Since then, my plantar has gone away and the shoes have been a God-send! They are insanely comfy and do not slip at all on wet floors. I've referred a co-worker here for the same shoes and he LOVES them (two orders now). I included pictures of my shoes (keep in mind they are almost 2 years old). If you are in retail or wait tables, I'd highly recommend Hoka's & visiting here for specialty needs. I'd also recommend purchasing inserts as well. Ask for Joe! read more

Lynn or Lin was an amazing help to provide a great experience at fleetfeet. I had my feet measured and analyzed and was astonished by the technology that I was able to see! I originally thought I should not wear cushioned shoes but she recommended due to the lack of cushion from my altras that I should have cushion to help with my runs. Oh what a joke. Why is everybody propping up a borderline shady store full of charlatans? I did the walking exercise that supposedly identifies the perfect shoes for you. I trusted my sales rep and went with the pair of Brooks running shoes that he brought out. $150 before our recent hyper inflation made me a bit upset. Items in the store don't have price tags. I get the whole "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" thing, but some of us don't know that Fleet Feet are charlatans looking to cater to the ultra rich. I get that maybe it's part of their lovely sales tactics to get you to the register assuming something is priced highly but not that highly. It's still really stupid. I'd have no issues spending extra for great shoes, but after I broke these shoes in, I realized I can't really wear them. My feet slide around in them even though they're supposedly properly sized. What an absolute joke. Those who have money to burn I guess could give these charlatans a try. For all the rest, let me just tell you that an improperly-sized cheaper pair of Nikes fit me a lot better and provide a lot more support than the Brooks that I unfortunately bought from this store. read more

I made my second trip to Fleet Feet - Johns Creek (Fleet Feet - Duluth) in need of a better quality walking shoe. I really committed myself to walking four years ago and just did low-price/good review shoes off of Amazon. Well, it was finally time to up my game, get a shoe that really meets my needs and a pair fitted by a professional. My wife had been to this store before and told me I would love the result. She was spot on. I was waited on by Joe Braley - Owner. Joe measured my foot, took a 3-D impression, explained the particulars of how my feet 'hit the ground' and more. He had me try on four pairs and we discussed the pros and cons of each until I selected the one that felt perfect. Joe was wonderful! Because of the personal service and storefront location I was expecting, and willing to pay, a higher price than online but I was pleasantly surprised. This store is a must for nurses, anyone on their feet more than 10 hours per day, I was working 4 days a week back to back on my feet for more than 10 hours per day, I developed right plantar fasciitis through time and overuse, I was wearing high brand brooks glycerin shoes and I still had that right heel pain, until I came into the store and meet Jason, he got me the perfect insoles and oofos to heal my feet from a long day of work and walking bare feet on my hard wood floors, I needed some support. I like Fleet Feet. I am pretty loyal to another local running shoe store, but I was at a point where I was having so much trouble finding a shoe that worked that I was willing to buy from anyone (my size isn't in high demand, so it's just a matter of finding a place with inventory to accommodate). I've been twice - once a couple years ago and once recently. Both times I felt like the sales reps that I dealt with took the time to listen to me and figure out what I needed. In retrospect, I did feel a little up-sold on inserts the first time around (I ended up not really feeling they were necessary and have since sold them on eBay), but that's my only complaint. My most recent visit was a really pleasant experience. I've gone through so much trial and error, and I know exactly what works and what doesn't. I remember the sales rep saying "I'm listening - you know your feet." That stuck with me. I appreciated it even more when I went to a local competitor down the road that wanted to push sales over hearing what I had to say. Listening to your customers and trusting that they might know what's best for them works every time - and earns you a positive shout-out on Yelp. My husband and I both bought shoes the first time around that we were happy with. I didn't buy this time because nothing fit my high-maintenance foot just right, but if I'd tried something that I was 100% sure would have worked, I certainly would have. read more

Worth it. I went to Fleet Feet this week since I've been having knee and foot pain and decided it was time for that to stop. I'm not a runner but that didn't matter at all! I told the (very helpful) sales person about my pain and (unsurprisingly) mischaracterized my gait. As it turns out, what it feels like to me is the opposite of what actually happens. More surprisingly, she put me in shoes at least a full size larger than I've worn my entire life. However, I was out and about for several hours today and had zero foot pain, so clearly, these were the right shoes for me. I also got the ever wonderful Superfeet insoles, which she sized to fit in the shoes, and a whole boatload of Smartwool socks that were on sale. I'm exceedingly pleased with both the service and products that I got at Fleet Feet. My only disappointment is that they only sell running shoes. I need someone like that to fit me in less casual shoes, too!! read more

I wasn't sure what to expect heading to a specialty running store but I knew that I needed good running shoes. The last few hiking trips and yesterday at the gym had left my legs a tingly mess. I was kind of worried about it so, I decided to start with my shoes. The shoes that I had been wearing are old...really old...they traveled here with me from Michigan. I walked into fleet feet and was greeted immediately, even in my sweats. They sat me down and asked me what I was looking for and what I had been experiencing with my previous running shoes. My sales person (sorry I can't remember your name, but you were great!) watched me walk to check my gait, then he sized my feet both sitting and standing. Nice! He brought out a pair of shoes for me to try. Amazing. Very well cushioned and supportive. To make sure that they fit, I jogged a little outside as he again watched my form. He brought out 2 more pairs of shoes and I ended up purchasing a pair, with no pressure from him. I immediately took the shoes to the gym and gave them a spin on the treadmill. Perfect. The people here will take their time to figure out what's bothering you and find a shoe that works for your specific needs. The consultation for my feet took about 25-30 minutes but, I ended up with the best fitting pair of shoes that I've ever owned. Thank you Fleet Feet! read more

I can never, ever, make up my mind when it comes to picking out new running shoes. Unfortunately, I tend to gravitate towards looks more than performance... cause I mean, heck, when the price of shoes are gravitating towards $100 and up, aren't they all basically the same? Not really.. So this is why I love Fleet Feet. They basically pick your shoes for you, based on how much you're actually going to run in them, the pronation of your feet (they have you walk around barefoot to examine this), in additional to any other special needs. They don't give you any sort of break when it comes to price (I paid $100), but they do give you special, customized attention. For instance, they completely understood me when I talked about my gripes with my short experience with barefoot running (it's not for everyone!). And best of all, they let me run in the shoes outside, even though it had rained earlier that day. I'm sure that I would come back here for my next pair of shoes even though yes, they will charge you full price, and no, their selection of shoes isn't GREAT (meaning, they don't carry more than 1 color of each shoe)... but the service was great, and I felt very insured that I was making the right choice for my feet. And in fact, this was proven when I began wearing the shoes for my runs - talk about comfort! read more

I went to Fleet Feet for the first time recently, it's a specialty running store. I'm a runner, and looking to be re-fit for running shoes. I have worn the same style shoes for years, but the manufacturers change the styles frequently, and I was having some pain lately and decided to spend the extra retail money to be properly fitted. I wouldn't go in here looking for a sale, or lower cost alternative. The store offers a service and in return you will pay the retail price. So, I did the fit process, 20-30 minutes, and I did feel like the saleswoman was very very thorough. I brought in my old shoes, showed her how they've worn - this is like anything else, you'll get out of it what you put into it. I guess I was mildly disappointed when I walked out of the store with........the same shoes I've bought for years. (though in a half size larger). She gave me a couple of alternatives to try, but nothing really seemed any better. She also fitted me with some inserts, it's impossible to figure out if you like a shoe or an insert with a quick lap around the store, so I just decided to go for it and exercise their guarantee if I don't like them. Here's where I got a little uncomfortable. After that, she asked how many pairs of socks (at $12-15 each) I wanted..."1, 2, 4, 8?" and then passed me off to the sports bra lady, and then told me to come back for a cute outfit...and somewhere between the massage stick and the sports bra, I started to try to run, quite literally, from the store. I guess it was a slow morning, and maybe in Johns Creek people come in and drop $1000, but I left with just shoes, inserts and one pair of socks, that I spent kind of a shameful amount on, but appreciated the time and attention that she paid in fitting them. I guess I felt a little more buy-buy-buy pressure here than I have at, say, Big Peach. I won't compare this kind of store to Sports Authority, they're completely different. Maybe my review really wants to be 3.5 stars, it's a great store, with great products and great people, but I think they must be under a lot of pressure to close a bigger sale. read more

She also did not laugh when this 68 year old woman asked for the loudest shoes she had in the brand and style I needed. It was a fun and rewarding experience. THE SMALLS This is a relatively small store that carries athletic footwear and clothing for SMALL men and women. Don't get it twisted, this store assumes that only very slim people work out. Not so my friend!. While they carried varied brand when it came to running shoes, I was surprised to see that they only carried one brand of athletic sandals. While this is a quality brand, it was not a good fit for me and it only came in bright colors. I prefer a black. The customer service here was great and I would recommend it to small people who prefer small inventories! read more

I tried on the shoes I went to look at as well as discussed some of the questions I had about running. I was never pressured and I learned a lot. As a family of avid runners (three daughters in track and cross country, mom and dad both weekend warriors), we have a constant need for high quality shoes and great service. I had written Fleet Feet off years ago after they advised me on the wrong inserts and put my daughter in the wrong size shoe. When I spotted an online coupon, I decided to give them a second chance. I went looking for clothes (won't trust them with shoes). Their prices weren't competitive and their selection was mediocre (very limited sizes).
