I had received an email coupon from DSW so I checked out their shoes online. When I found a couple of styles that I liked, I decided to go into the store to see if I could try the shoes on. When I arrived, I realized that all of the shoes online are not necessarily carried within the store. They did have one of the shoes I had selected. I was able to try it on and walk around the store. The shoes were very comfortable, and they had many sizes between 9 and 12 in stock. However, they did not appear to have many wide shoes in stock. So, I will ultimately make my purchase online, but it was nice to go into the store and try on one of my selections. All of the staff who interacted with me were friendly and courteous. I'll definitely consider returning if I need to try on a pair of shoes, but I'll probably continue to make my purchases online. UPDATE: I went home that night and tried to order my shoes online. The email coupon would not work. It said that the coupon had expired which was not the case. I then started a chat session on their website. I found out that the coupon would not work with the shoes that I was purchasing. Apparently, almost every brand they carry is excluded from the coupons that they email their customers (see below). I don't think that I'll be making another purchase at DSW anytime soon. Tons of shoes at decent prices in a clean, easy to shop, warehouse environment, with limited customer service. My wife needed a new pair of sandals. After striking out at the big department stores, she persuaded me into making the trek to DSW. This store is in a moderately upscale shopping plaza... one of many, apparently, in the north Atlanta suburbs. At first it appeared a bit overwhelming, but after a few minutes we isolated the appropriate section, she found what she was looking for, I paid, and we were out of there! read more

Been here a couple of times. They have good stock, the store is never overwhelming crowded and the people working there are nice and patient but also efficient. I made a purchase online of which the sizes didn't really fit well. I was able to go in store with no problems and make an exchange. I took my the shoes in the boxes they came in along with the receipt and they let me know if they had them in stock and took me to the shoes where I was able to try them and then went back to the register to make the exchange. I have also purchased online and picked up in store as well and it was a smooth process. The store is also neat as well. Love the chain in general but this store is definitely one of my favorites. read more

I wear the basic 3 pairs of shoes: brown, black, and tennis shoes. I have a tendency not to replace them as often as I should. On my most recent trip, my old brown shoes were just hard to walk in. I had so much pain should up from my feet. I went home for a week and did not wear them but packed them for my current trip. You guessed it, the foot pain came right back. In a panic, after work, I stopped DSW which is less than 5 minutes away. Even though I was in pain walking, my feet started to feel better just walking into the store. Somehow, i knew i would find something. And I did. So much so, i bought 2 pairs of shoes. Less than 24h later, i am pain free. The staff at the store were great. They made it very easy to find what i was looking for. The web app allowed me save an additional 20%, woo-hoo. It is nice to walk into a store, try on shoes without any hassle, and get out pretty quickly saving dollars at the register. read more

I was in the store on September 30 at 6:45 PM. I found some Nike shoes I liked and proceeded to the check out line. When I got to the cashier she told me the coupon i had was not valid for Nike. i said OK there was another brand I liked and I was going to get it. The cashier told me she would not ring it up because the store had close at 7. I told her this didn't make sense because i has arrived prior to closing and was in line. Well it's like this... HOTMESS. DSW does a great job of making you feel like you are getting the bargain you wouldn't anywhere else by creating a layout of experience... and sometimes even this half store clearance section with random shoes.... So you think, man I like some of these, and I'm getting 40-70% off RETAIL! And I think half the time you might be getting, best case, more like 20% off what OTHER stores sell. Seriously... "Suggested Retail" price is like outter space, and maybe if you are not the saviest of shoppers you pay somewhere in the clouds, but... never RETAIL!! Caution! Just going to the clearance section if you are in for cheap isn't necessarily getting you the best deal. Look the whole store over, -always take your android/iphone shopping app and see what the shoes are going for elsewhere in other traditional brick and mortar stores AND the internet. These days buying on the internet can get you the best deal and free shipping to 'boot' (ha! like that pun?) I might go back, but then again, I'm usually looking for something in particular (type, size, style of running shoe, dress shoe, or sandal) so I say that but probably wont, since they carry random selections of shoes :/ read more

What you can expect, and what you'll get, is a huge selection of flats, heels, boots, sandals and athletic footwear - along with a sizeable men's section - arranged by type as well as a nice assortment of handbags, hats, jewelry and miscellaneous (wallets, leggings, scarves, shoe polish, etc). This is a shoe store that carries everything - high fashion names to basics. DSW also has a pretty rewarding loyalty program, earning points toward cash discounts on purchases and each location has an extensive "Clearance" section for both men's and women's shoes. At times, the clearance section can have up to 80% off the discounted price, so it's well worth spending time there first. However, take the time to browse the aisles, too - they often have additional percentages off select shoes throughout the aisles. Ashley, the cashier was incredibly rude and didnt offer to assist with a gift card error. Watched us scan it 5 times to only have us type the card number in ourselves with no guidance, AFTER she said "I don't have a way to manually enter a gift card". Really? Every point of sale system in almost ALL companies have that function. Not only that, just didn't seem to care whether we were there or not. ZERO customer service skills whatsoever. Went to their Mother Day Weekend sale and was pleasantly surprised at the large selection of summer shoes available. I was able to find four pair (two wedges, one flat and one loafer for fall) that I fell in love with. The best surprise came when I went to check out and found out they were out of the 'weekender' bag that I had a coupon for, but they gave me 20% off my purchase instead - score!!! I really appreciate the management of this store going out of their way to reward loyal customers instead of just stating they were out of the gift with purchase item. BACK IN ACTION! I fell out of love with DSW for a while simply because they changed over time. At one point, they carried great leather accessories and leather shoes in all styles. Then it all changed and I noticed that they were actually carrying more non-leather shoes and bags which really frustrated me. I had become accustomed to a certain quality and I wanted that to continue. I also got a little salty when they changed how they distributed my rewards. So, I gave them the cold shoulder for a number of years. I stopped shopping at their stores and I would not spend the cheap little rewards they sent me on my birthday. (Instead of the usual $10 rewards, they started with the $5 rewards which were promptly discarded). So after a few years of pouting, I wandered back in and slowly became a fan again. I can never complain about the great customer service I always receive and I am enjoying a better selection of shoes. I love leather and suede options and I must have a sensible heel because my aesthetic is cute AND comfortable. Also, they have restored my $10 rewards which means that every time I purchase a pair of shoes, I receive a $10 reward to use toward my next purchase. Now, that's more like it! Today was a great day for shopping and the store was buzzing with shoppers. The clearance department was well stocked with great options and if you like sandals like I like sandals, now is a great time to purchase them. Today, I scored a great pair of holiday sandals, (black suede with silver embellishments and an ankle strap). When it comes to a dressy sandal, it is all about an ankle strap. I love them! In addition to a great sale on some of their sandals, they have a nice selection of boots of varying heights and different styles to satisfy every interest. The cool thing about the shoes at DSW is that they are always considerably less than what you will find in department stores. Last year I purchased a pair of Lucky Brand sandals (later returned), at Macy's for $120 but later I discovered them at DSW for $90. The moral of the story is always shop here first! read more

Was shopping at another DSW location and found a shoe I needed but they didn't have my size. Went online and it said Alpharetta had the shoe in stock and it would be available in 2 hours for pickup. Drove about 45 mins to the store to find a "CLOSED" sign in the front door. When calling it just hours to a voicemail that says there is a delay. Customer service just says that there is a delay with processing and cannot tell me when the store will be open or when the order will be ready. Save yourself some time and shop elsewhere. read more

May I help the next shoe lover please?! LOLOL I am by far not a shoe lover. Mainly because I have always had a hard time finding the correct size in shoes, and when I can find an 11W, for some reason they always think that someone who wears that size needs a 4-6 in heel?!?! I am obviously in the wrong industry ;) ANY-WHO, DSW has in the past usually had a good selection of Wide shoes and usually has a good selection of 11's and 12's. This one seems to have had a decrease in the past few months, so if I'm feeling adventurous then I usually go downtown to the buckhead location. Because of the ,,, demographic, shall we say.. there's usually a very nice selection down here and if i cant find what I'm looking for then next door is Nordstroms Rack.. and Its a shoepalooza in there with the wides and the selection. Maybe one day someone will come out with a tall persons wide shoe line! Maaaaaybe. until then Ill continue on the hunt for cute shoes. read more

I have never left this store without buying a pair of shoes- but I do admit that I have a slight shoe shopping problem AND I usually go here looking for something in particular. They have a wide variety of brands from the expensive (but not designer) to the cheap cheap. I recently purchased a pair of Ralph Lauren boots at this location for more than 40% off of the list price (and I had a coupon on top of that) and they are still selling the same boots online at other department stores!! This location is large, but their selection is always overpriced. They can get away with it because of the area. Staff is ok, not too interactive. One plus is the store is clean. Only reason I gave 3 stars was because of the cost and lack of deals. read more

I love DSW! The staff is alway knowledgable and courteous. I had an issue recently, not huge but I only mentioned to the manager Sarah at this northpoint location and without hesitation she corrected the problem.
