So after I moved to John Creek and had so many other shopping choices I was over them. I don't know what possessed me to stop here today, I just was looking for something new, didn't remember how much I dislike this store. Big mistake! As I'm in the fitting room I can hear someone yelling, screaming curse words, angrily and violently just cursing someone out. I was afraid to leave the fitting room! I was sure there was about to be a hostage situation in the middle of Kohls. As it turned out it was the Kohl's employees in the store room cursing and yelling and being sounding violent with one another. Still a little afraid that something bad was going to go down I took my one item and went to the service desk to check out. I also had a 15% off coupon from Yelp for checking in at Kohl's today. The cashier did not know how to use the coupon so she asked the manager, Michael. Michael informed me that they did not take Yelp coupons, that Kohl's had never had any kind of agreement to take a Yelp coupon and he couldn't help me. He said that if I wanted to sign up for their email club then Kohl's would send me coupons that I could actually use, in a nasty little voice. Forget you, Kohls! I will not tolerate poor, down-right nasty customer service. Great job losing a customer AGAIN. I can't wait to hear what Kohls corporate and yelp think of his refusal to accept coupon.

I felt a little…read moreawkward coming in because I was literally the only person there at that time but the staff made me feel at ease. Apparently this brand was the vision and eventual production behind one man, Jason Hammerberg, who at an early age, showed great interest and passion for clothes. He pursued a degree in retail/clothing design and took off on his own after gaining experience in various retail markets. One thing he stands behind is the high quality of his shirts without high pricing. Here's where I'm not so sure I agree. I'll have to see how the shirt holds up but as far as pricing, I guess I'm used to Banana Republic. This line is more along the upscale Pink by Thomas Pink but not quite as expensive. These shirts are visually appealing. I like that they aren't so in-the-box so to speak, and that there is great attention to detail. And much like my beloved Lululemon, a shirt may be there today and gone forever tomorrow, which makes them more unique. I like where they stick their logo on the side of their shirt so if you wear it out, you can see it. It's actually a pretty cool symbol. And if you roll up the cuff, there's detail inside the cuff that will show off nicely. I'd say if you are a very traditional man, their merchandise isn't for you. And I love their bags. I know...their what?! But I love a good shopping bag, and they have really cool bags. I'll have to see how the shirt stands through some washes before I'd buy more, but I like it. If you're searching for a nice, more unique shirt then you have hit the right place.

I always find myself stopping in when I am at Avalon to just see what they have in stock. I have close to 10 now and not a single one has any signs of fraying, wearing out, fading etc. Fit and finish are great, and I always get compliments on either the style, color, design, cuffs etc. Tineal (the Assistant Manager) is always supremely focused on customer service, and despite being a small store, always provides a great experience.

Days later on pickup day I've been calling for hours and I wasn't able to reach anybody. I arrived at the store and my pants haven't been tailored or tampered. My suit needed to be pressed and tags wasn't removed. On top of that my son suit wasn't delivered to the store, one of the guys lied to my face and said the tracking showed the suit out for delivery. I took my suit to a nearby place and they serviced it. I went home and they sent me a message saying that ups can't find my son's suit but they know it'll be here by Monday. Straight liars. Don't recommend. Make your own suit by hand w some needle and thread before you come here.

They didn't have anything in stock that I wanted, so I ordered something from the book. Less than a week later when I went to try it on because it arrived, we realized they sent the wrong pant size for the suit, so the employee told us we should be able to just take out the material in the pant leg and it would work, but me knowing how small they were and the size of my thighs, I knew they weren't and we said to call the company and have them send me the right pants. A few days later, my mom called the store (because they said they would call but the employee never did so my mom had to be the one to consistently check) to check and make sure they were ordered and the employee said yes and they would be overnighted. Another few days later, my mom called again, but this time the employee said "Oh well the warehouse didn't have them, so we decided to just take out the pants like we talked about", which confused my mom and I because we knew that wouldn't work. And just like I thought, when we came in and tried it on, they still didn't work. So, on Monday (with my prom the following Friday), the employee said he would call again and get the right pants overnighted. My mom checked in every day, and no pants...idk how he "overnighted them" but they didn't come. So Friday, the day of prom arrives, and we show up to the store, still no correct pants, and I decided that I would just take the small pants for now because there wasn't really another option, except black pants (but they didn't look good with my suit). This whole time I had been keeping my cool, but when my mom started asking questions to the employee, he proceeded to keep cutting her off, lying in our faces, and be plain up rude. So I opened my mouth to ask a question, and he proceeded to cut me off, not let me talk, and scream over me. So I had to raise my voice so that he would finally hear me out. My blood was BOILING. We asked if we could speak to a manager or owner, and his response was no. That is not how you run a business. That is terrible customer service. After we left with the pants that were too small, we got the call 10 minutes later that the right pants arrived so we turned around, swapped it out, and ran out of there VERY fast before anything else went badly because of the lies we were told. In the end, we did get the right pants, but they were unhemmed still and it was overall not a good experience with TERRIBLE customer service. DO NOT recommend. He could have easily fixed the issue and made it right, and instead he yelled at us and continued to lie to our faces. Absolutely upset.

I like coming around Halloween and Christmas, though it is crazy to do so and parking is pretty bad for TJ Maxx if you are trying to get close to the store. However, I have been lucky to find close stalls both times I've come. I found a new mug which I needed, hand soap on clearance, a new sugar free coffee syrup on sale, and priced some other items that I might get next time for my bathroom and for journaling. I love TJ Maxx and Ross type stores, even though the variety and selection can be overwhelming at times. I just want to pick everything up and smell all the soaps and candles, etc. These are never the most organized kind of stores, but this particular store is better than some I've been in. The customers and workers were nice here. Lines were long as to be expected with the holidays but definitely not unbearable. I'll continue to come back for essentials and fun finds alike.
