The technician came out, promptly diagnosed the problem as a faulty fan, and was able to replace the fan with the parts on his truck. The whole process was very efficient and professional. Let me add that I had called Subzero and gotten two references, the first who did not work in my service area (McLean) and the second who got poor reports on Washington Consumer Checkbook. Fortunately, the first suggested that I contact Expert Appliance Services.

They did and told me there was a mix up and they would be here at 1. The technician came but seemed annoyed. He checked the outlet, said it was good. Took the top off the dryer and stated the motherboard was dead. I explained the board was brand new. He didn't test it just stated it was bad. He then just kept repeating the board was bad. No offer of ordering the part- nothing. I paid 90 dollars, they arrived 3 hours late for 10 minutes to say the motherboard is dead. The other issue was I could not understand him due to his accent. I don't care about culture or enthtics . Just do the job. He stated he did not know why I was upset. Three hours late, acting annoyed and 10 minute for 90 dollars and difficult accent. I will never contact them again.

Update to my previous review: I was contacted by the business and was told that the reason for…read moretheir lack of communication was due to being a victim of a cyberattack. As I had no other way to verify this, I took them at their word and accepted their explanation. For full transparency, however, it is worth noting that this communication came less than 24 hours after I had posted my initial review. The repair technician arrived at my home the same day, and spent approximately 90 minutes going back over the previous repair work and going much more in-depth in this second go-round. After completing the work, he explained what he did, what he found, and then ran a cycle through my dishwasher. The next day, I ran another cycle, and the leaking issue had been fixed. As I am someone who does believe in giving people and businesses second chances and opportunities, and because I have seen them perform excellent and professional work before (see my original review), I am likely to give them my business at least once more to see that this experience is an outlier and not their typical course of business.

Older LG w/bottom freezer wouldn't get below 20 degrees (0 recommended). Ends up freon pressure was low; Alex performed a system recovery of the old refrigerant and replaced with new. Alex was personable and emphasized giving Smart Steps a call if the repair doesn't hold. Very pleased with my experience. Looking forward to frozen ice cream vs. "soft scooped."

They have no professional licenses in Maryland (use DLLR license look up), but they have a business license under Sam Khalladi in Burke, VA. When I called to ask for their license number the guy said they have two technicians who are out of the country for a month so won't be able to provide services. This is his other yelp site. Weird.
