First of all, I didn't even give one star for this un responsible place. 2 months ago, I just visited this place to look at some of the used vehicles and a very nice and kind guy came out and talked with me about some deals. I emphasized so many times that I am not thinking about buying the car yet, but just looking around, and he said okay, and took me to some vehicles that he would wanted to recommend. The cars looked very clean and nice so that it made me think like I would buy it right away if I had enough money. I just said this car looks very nice, and that was the starting point that I realized about the dealer's selling style. He started giving me lots of pressure to buy the car and I was keep telling him not yet, but then he went much deeper about the dealership. It was pretty late night (around 8) and I really wanted to go home so bad but I felt the word "Can I come back on the other time?" that I said was fearing him. I kinda started suspecting him because he wanted to sell anything so bad right on the day and it really freaked me out. But later, the other guy who was higher than him came to me and gave me a good deal, so I told them AGAIN, if I can come back, and then they both started freaking out that time. My family own a restaurant business, so they asked for our address and told me they want to eat in my place which was totally BS because right on the next day, he came with the paper to give me a pressure to buy the car so I gave up and signed on the paperwork that he had and deposited $2000, and he guaranteed if I change my mind, I can take the $2000 back which was another BS as well. Funny things were that he guaranteed the perfect shape of the car, safety, cleanliness, and even free car wash when I needed which was a big BULLSHIT! 1. Cleanliness? They cleaned the parts that was only visible for quick sight which was totally understandable. 2. Perfect shape? There were lots of parts actually broken which were hidden before I buy and when I wanted to contact them, they started avoiding and ignoring me and when I went there directly instead, one guy was fired and the other guy was off to vacation which made me wait for a month and when I came back to damerow ford, he quit the job. 3. Safety? I at least wanted the car to be safe which was NOT because one day I was driving and the car steering wheel was out of my control which should have been really dangerous. The dealer guaranteed to change the engine oils and everything not perfect, but nothing was fixed for the vehicle. 4. Free car wash? I JUST KNEW IT AT THE FIRST TIME THAT IT IS A TOTAL BULLSHIT. When the guy delivered the car to me, his personality toward me was very opposite because he was really mean and looked kinda mad because he came when my restaurant was really busy and he didn't want to wait for me finishing the stuff that I was working on really quick. His voice seemed yelling. I wasn't able to find some paper work so I asked him what to do, but he just called another dealer and said "I think this person doesn't look like he wants to buy this car" and it really freaked me out. I went to dealer shop to fix minor parts today, but the only thing that I was able to do was just changing the steering wheel fluid for having a 3 month warrantee. Just clarifying, Trust me, The front lady seating at the center was really nice and the new guy now in charge of my vehicle's seller's position was nice as well but if I would like to say their names: T*M: was the higher position seller that avoided my contact and lied about the warrantee coverage for fixing safety features J**SE: who was actually a hypocrite that turned to show us his actual attitude toward the customers that already paid for him, and too, lied about bunch of stuff just to force us to buy any car from him so that he can actually earn more before he quit the job. Again, I am not saying everyone was bad, because there were several nice people in there, but especially the two I mentioned, they are the most mistrustful folks that I certainly do not recommend for people to buy anything from. I am not a huge fan of writing reviews on any places whether it was good or bad, but for your safety, I want to persuade you to consider before you pay. Nick Grove and Chris Moore from Damerow Ford's internet sales department hooked me up with a good deal on a new F-150. I bought my last several vehicles through internet sales because I appreciate the no nonsense approach: identify a vehicle, inquire about the price, and that's that. That aspect of my internet sales experiences at Damerow Ford was similar to my past experiences at other dealerships, but a thing I hadn't expected was the degree to which Damerow Ford's internet pricing is competitive. If you run a dealership inventory search from Ford's main website, you're going to see what vehicles are out there, and get a feel for pricing based on MSRP and the currently applicable rebates and incentives. That set my baseline expectation, but I found Damerow's internet sales pricing to be significantly lower than MSRP, such that I was able to buy a more nicely appointed vehicle than I had initially expected. Damerow Ford seems to operate toward the higher-volume/lower-margin end of the spectrum, which is good from the standpoint of a purchaser. On the other hand, following that same model for their used car business means you are less likely to get top dollar for a trade-in, so it cuts both ways. (But if you aren't trading-in a vehicle, you'll still get that same low price for your purchase.) Another thing that I liked was the way the finance department treated me. Usually, for the sake of convenience, I just accept whatever financing is on offer at a dealership in order to simplify the transaction and get out of there fast; I then refinance at my leisure if the rate isn't competitive. Anyway, two things Nick was up front about were (1) don't expect top dollar for a trade-in at Damerow Ford, and (2) the interest rates offered on the internal financing aren't competitive. This was certainly the case: I'm pretty sure they're going to make some money on my trade-in (but, ultimately, if the final number adds up to something that is better than I expected, what do I have to complain about?) and the initial offer on the interest rate was sky high. However, here's where service comes into play: the finance guy and I talked a bit, and he located a loan from a credit union that was two percentage points lower than Ford's internal offer (i.e. at a totally reasonable rate). That saved me the trouble of refinancing later, and demonstrated some respect. My last comment is to watch the add-ons and think hard about whether you actually need things like gap insurance in the case of theft, extra coatings to protect surfaces, or prepaid maintenance plans and extended warranties. These guys aren't hard-sell types, and I feel they have integrity, but you're probably going to be handed offer sheets that include a couple recommended line items that you didn't ask for. Those line items can come off. Just don't let inertia take over -- think carefully if you need it and consider that if add-ons increase the loan principal, the true cost is not the price. That's not to say any of these add-ons are clearly bad ideas (heck -- the maintenance plan made pretty good sense to me), but just be prepared to make decisions about them, and consider that a low price up front on a vehicle is sweetened for the dealership if they can sell you some extras that are higher margin. Point is: these really are good guys -- they give good information, they're not deceptive, and they have great pricing... just look beyond the primary transaction concerning the vehicle and be ready to make decisions about add-ons. read more

I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, an "easy" car buyer. Between 3 decades in and around car sales, I have and continue to help friends and family buy cars all over the pacific northwest. I know exactly what I want, and I know exactly what my budget it. And I will not be dissuaded from that position. When the lease on our Mazda was coming to an end, we decided that we would like to move to an EV, as it met our families needs for the next few years. This led us to test drive many different EVs, and finally settle on the Mach-E. There are no less than 10 different Ford dealerships within a 150 mile radius of our home, and I sent emails to all of them stating, in great detail, exactly what we wanted, exactly what we could afford, and exactly what we were offering. Hoping (naievely) that the attention to detail would elicit the non-game playing, and instead just frank interaction. No such luck. Of the 10, only 5 even replied. and all of them asked questions that demonstrated that they had not read the email, but rather were simply viewing me as an "up" that they would proceed with the trained process of their dealerships version of "customer service". After not receiving a reply originally from Damerow, I called and spoke with Ryan. They had a Mach E with the color & equiptment package we were looking for on their website. I asked simply for an email address, and forwarded to him the same email I had sent to the other 9 dealerships. His reply was very prompt, and he handed me off almost immediately to Brian at the sales desk. Brian, I suspect sensing that I had experience in the industry, dispensed with the dealership sales training and spoke plainly and frankly with me about the situation, and offered a solution that I had not considered. Within an hour, we had spoken on the phone, and my wife and I were on our way to Damerow to sign paperwork to get our new lease Mach E. Even after the signing, we were going to have the vehicle transported to Damerow because of the very specific trim and accessory requirements we put on the deal, and Brian & Ryan attended to our needs by providing us with a loaner Mach E for us to drive home that night. Turns out that specific car had been sold from the dealership the same night we signed our lease on it, so it wasn't availible. Brian, with determination and persistence, found another one with the correct equiptment package in WA, and lot traded to get that car for us. 3 days later, and Bryan delivered our new Mach E to our home this evening, and brought necessary paperwork for us to sign. To Ryan, Brian and Damerow. I thank you. It was a pleasure doing business with you. I will definately keep you in mind moving forward in my car buying and searches. For the other Ford dealerships I can only say, do better. The days of walk-in "ups" and pattern car sales by script and behavioral training are over. Move on. read more

Please, please stay away or avoid this dealership. They are a total "RIP OFF" when you don't do your research first of the price of the car or Truck or not knowledgeable enough with numbers. My Husband bought a month ago a 2013 Ford F-150 with a 119,000 miles on it the deal was done without my knowledge they closed the deal without my knowledge and not even asking me any questions at all, at that time he has a fully paid 2017 Jeep Patriot. internet priced of that truck was advertised for 19,000.00 see what I'm talking, but because of the lack of knowledge of cars and prizes they sold it to my husband for a whooping price of 25,000.00 making him believed that they are on sale and they mark down the price and he got a 4,000.00 savings, well it is not and numbers wont lie. the trade in price for his Jeep was only 6,500.00 we bought that for 14,000.00 2 years ago and it is very very low miles with a brand new tire. That could be priced 9,000.00 or at least 8,000.00. The truck is old and look junk due to some damages and dents and a cracked of the windshield but despite they make him believe its a good truck and its a good deal, every good flowery words because they know they can manipulate him and take advantage of him the deal was done. Well then, after only driving for a month or a one month of ownership the truck got issues and my husband took it to the shop for fixing they promised to fix the issues which is a quick fix but whenever he called they don't answer. well then it's not a minor issues it got big issues. Now I told my husband I will not pay for the repair which is in amount of 950.00 and that Truck will have more troubles to come and we cannot afford it to maintain. I told him to return it to them. Help him to get out of this mess. I found a truck a Toyota Tacoma for a price of 14,000.00 to at least get that. They said they will do that but when they arrived at the dealership that truck is sold how can they do that. They ended to trade-in that Ford F-150 for only 17,000.00 when they sold to him for 25,000.00 plus for only a month that's a total difference of $ 8,000.00 plus will not be paying the repair of 950.00. The Truck is in the shop right now and won't even dare to pick it up. He ended up negative with the whole deal considering his Trade-in 2017 Jeep Patriot that is fully paid. To sum up the whole deal we lost a whooping amount of 20,000.00 in total in which now his family will suffer and deal with that amount of money with a new monthly payment of his loan. And they really don't care. They are really ripping off of their client if they can a good commission is a must. DON'T EVER AND EVER TRUST THEM AND DON'T EVER BELEIVED OF WHAT THEY SAID. I researched cars,car prices, dealer costs, service and repair in preparation for buying a new car. After 10 months of research and analysis, I struck a deal with Ammie Jose and Franchot "Shot" Johnson from Damerow Ford. I am absolutely satisfied and happy with my entire car buying experience and especially blown away with the customer care and service provided by Ammie and "Shot" as well as the way they worked together. I will definitely be back for service and also for my next purchase. I went in to Damerow set on buying a new Ford vehicle chosen from a field of 3 seven seater vehicles: The Transit Connect, the Flex or the Explorer. After serious, factual discussion with "Shot" who has been selling Ford Cars for 30 years, I ended up buying a very low mileage pre-owned 2016 Ford Explorer. Beyond being knowledgeable about cars, "Shot" has enormous respect for the Ford Automotive Company and its products. Ammie patiently provided me with pricing information on my three target vehicles as well as numerous Q&A sessions over the internet for a long time. "Shot" spent a lot of time showing me vehicles and talking car with no pressure until I came to the final decision. From there the process what painless for me but I really made "Shot" work hard to find the payment and financing using my criteria. I was in control. I made all the decisions and I got everything I intended to purchased for a very good price and rate. While I was working with the office staff to complete the deal, Ammie and "Shot" teamed up to get my Ford Explorer prepped to drive it off the lot. By the time I was finished signing papers, my new car was ready. I very much appreciated how friendly, professional and amazingly knowledgeable everyone was not only with me, the customer, but also with each other. They get along very well as a team. I could tell by the way it all happened and came together. There is something very healthy and good going on there at Damerow. My purchase: 2016 low mileage pre-owned beautiful green Ford Explorer Limited edition with package 301A (built to the hilt) 84 month basic warranty 5 year extended warranty that covers oil changes, tire changes, brake maintenance, windshield replacement and all the maintenance checks. I really do not know how to thank these guys enough!!! 5 stars all the way!!! I've been a daily driver for many years and as of very recently became one without a car. After getting jerked around at a different dealership, more specifically, Ron Tonkin (having to give car back/sold a lemon/lied to/through the roof interest rate, etc.), I inquired about a used vehicle at Damero Ford. Larry contacted me shortly after. I explained my situation (horrible credit, not been at current job long) and he said to come in and see what they could do. I am glad I did! Instead of driving away in a used car, or walking... I drove off in a BRAND NEW CAR! It's a cute little 2018 Fiesta Hatchback, which I have nicknamed The Baby Focus, haha (used to drive a Ford Focus and the look almost look alike). Moving on.... The payments are right in my budget, my insurance went down, I do not have to worry about something going wrong with a used car, and I am literally paying less for a brand new car getting one through these guys. Not only am I saving money but my stress levels are way down too! I had been extremely worried being vehicle-less because I am also an on-call wildland firefighter and I needed a vehicle!! ASAP!! I was not having any luck anywhere else. Now I don't have to worry about getting down there when called and all the money/gas/time I invested in gear and training won't be going down the drain either. On a side note, another reason I am giving this dealership 5 stars is because the car is a manual, which I did not know how to drive. In fact, I've only driven a manual once many years ago, which I ruined (haha). However, Larry took the time to teach me. Aside from that being really awesome, he was a great instructor too! I was able to drive from Beaverton to my house in Gresham with no issues! *Second side note, Ford offers college students $700 as a down payment for a brand new car. This really helped me out!!! Squirrelly! Our hopes about Beaverton Hyundai and Beaverton Ford went from excited to gut-twisted astonishment. We responded to Beaverton's three Internet listings-- same car, same model number, price cut 25%, plastered at three different web sites: Beaverton Hyundai, Nissan, and Ford-- sister outlets they said were not, and later said, were related. They outright refused to sell AFTER we applied for credit and offered to pay-in-full, sight-unseen, but refused to guarantee it would be there when we arrived. Huh!? Why did the sales lady flake out? In seeking an answer from successive rungs in Beaverton's chain-of-command, once each manager realized we were eyeing #84183, they poisoned the sale from every angle. Among their sister stores, Beaverton must have thousands of cars in inventory-- they should avoid bait-and-switch-type games, keep their promises, sell the car as advertised, even if it is a loss leader. Why the INTRIGUE over Stock #84183: does it really exist; was it safe enough to survive the trip to Texas (why did they act like it was a Lemon-Law return); why a $2,000 price cut? What Beaverton was hiding regards # 84183 remains a mystery. Refer to review of Beaverton Hyundai at Yelp.com. A Beaverton Rep. referred to owners Dan Kizer and Dorian Boyland as "absentee managers" who wouldn't be able to help us. Wouldn't wanna be Dave Montgomery, either-- a colleague described him as "brutal." Wake-up time! Beaverton lied, insulted us in increasingly hostile ways, maligned us, and threatened us in writing. If the car didn't live up to the promises, would our payment-in-full be returned? "Yes." Wait-- "No." Hmm... which was it? One Beaverton desk manager phoned back just to tell us to call the BBB and the Attorney General! Dealing with this rude pack 29-30 JULY 2010 left us feeling that somebody spiked Beaverton's water coolers with Twilight-Zone pills. Why so much emotion over one little Toyota? We walked away empty handed and disillusioned. CONCLUSION: Beaverton Hyundai (who allegedly possessed this car) and Beaverton Ford (where the owners allegedly office out of) FAILED the Sniff Test. read more

See DALE MONAHAN at Damerow Ford This is my very 1st post on Yelp. I have to personally THANK Dale Monahan for the awesome transaction at Damerow Ford. Everyone situation is different but here's my story. I have been to five to six dealers within the past week trying to get into a new vehicle - every dealer wanted us to pay $100+ more per month. One dealership in Portland (Portland Toyota), told me that this is the last week that Costco is offering this price and either I take it or leave it - I left and won't be back. Another dealer in Beaverton (NW Jeep/Chrylser) - As I was waiting to hear back from financing, I could over hear the finance manager/specialist talking about our monthly payments and even question my husband and I place of employment - Never doing business there. I was currently in a lease vehicle (2015 Honda Odyssey EXL) that I no longer wanted and looking for something that will fit my family needs. With negative equity and low down payment, I knew it will be difficult to find a vehicle that I wanted. Last night, I stopped by Damerow looking at my options of getting into a 2016 Ford Explorer. I test drove and even took the vehicle home last night and loved it. Than we decided we wanted a vehicle that offered more standard options. Now I was back at the dealership this morning, hoping this could be possible. We were willing to be a little flexible with payments (only increased by $50 per month) but there was no room on negotiation of higher down payment. Within 45 minutes, my husband and I, were now a new owner of 2016 Ford Explorer XLT - lease (35 months), not finance. As I was leaving the dealership, I told Dale, I'm not sure how he did it but I couldn't be happier with my new vehicle. Thanks again Dale. **Also the 2016 Highlander XLE was priced the same as the Explorer, Toyota stated that if I wanted the Highlander, my payments will increased by $150 per month. TLDR Version: Damerow Ford has created a customer for life when they took my lemon and made lemonade. Full Story: In April of 2012, I found myself in a bad spot. I had purchased a used 2005 Ford Taurus from a different dealer. The service engine soon light came on less than a month after purchase. The originating dealer refused to fix the vehicle and said I'd need to go somewhere else. I took the vehicle to Damerow Ford as they're close to my house. They took a look at it and told me it had $1500 worth of repairs that needed to be made. Now, some of these repairs were covered by the service plan I bought from the other dealer, thank goodness, but I still had $800 worth of repairs that I was to be responsible for, $800 of repairs I couldn't afford because I just bought a car! I contacted the original dealer. After a lot of back and forth, they basically told me that they inspected the car before selling it to me, and they didn't notice that it needed $1500 of repairs before selling it to me, so because they didn't notice repairs that needed to be made, they're not responsible for them. There's apparently no lemon law in Oregon for 7 year old vehicles, so they can just sell a car that needs $1500 worth of repairs, feign ignorance, and nothing happens to them. Luckily, Damerow Ford took pity on me and worked out payment arrangements. They gave me a discount on the repairs, so instead of $800, I wound up only paying $600, and only $100 of that up front and the rest in payments on the Ford Service Card. Since Damerow fixed the car, it's been fine. Ever since, I've been taking my Ford to Damerow for it's regular maintenance. The guys in the service department have always been good to me every time I come in. They send me notifications when they believe it's time to bring my car in with coupons attached to take some of the price off. I hope they keep up the good work. I fully intend to purchase my next car from them. read more

I had been saving up for and researching the Ford Fusion Hybrid for a few months when I finally got in contact with about 6 dealerships through TrueCar, including Damerow Ford. I received several price quotes and from the very first email, Dan Hunt from Damerow Ford offered upfront no hassle pricing that I would have to haggle other dealers to get to. I could tell from the way he communicated that he was confident in being able to help me find the best deal and did not feel any sales pressure whatsoever. I was very picky with this vehicle, so several dealerships mentioned possibly ordering it but all of them indicated that I would get the incentives/rebates offered at the time that the vehicle arrived, 6-12 weeks out. Why would I want to put a deposit down, order a vehicle and wait, when I don't know what the final price will be? The exception to this trend was Damerow Ford. When Dan mentioned possibly going the ordering route, he let me know that I would get the incentives offered right now OR when the vehicle arrives, whichever is better for me. Not only did he offer me the best price from the get-go, but he offered great customer service. I had quite a few questions and he assisted me every step of the way without making me feel like I was being a pain. I took a little more time to finish up my savings and locate the perfect vehicle and when it came time to purchase my vehicle a couple weeks later, I knew who I wanted to close the deal with. The dealership that had gained my trust. Buying a vehicle can be a very expensive purchase. I know that when I'm making a big purchase, I want honesty, excellent customer service, and no hassle low pricing otherwise I'll look elsewhere. I did my research and then some, so I know that I really got the best from Dan Hunt at Damerow Ford. I'm extremely happy with my new car and will be for years to come, because I got exactly what I wanted at a great price. Thank you! read more

Wow! I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews, but as I was using the USAA Auto Find, I knew they would not work with a disreputable dealer. Kyoshi was a no show for my appt, but Glen and Spencer Williams stepped right in - they asked what I was looking for (and I was prepared with miles and cost) and they didn't try to show me something that was not in that range. Honestly, I was probably a bit difficult because I REALLY did my home work. They did not try to hard-sell me, and the manager was just as nice. I was determined to sleep on it, and they respected that. Halfway home, I turned around and went back - as much as for the great deal on 2012 Ford Focus (only 13,600 miles) as for the GREAT customer service. Am a single mom with a son who is starting college so the right car/price was critical AND I wanted someone who listened to ME! Additionally, I didn't have a way home and SPENCER offered to follow me home (all the way to DALLAS) with the car -- I found a ride, and then Spencer offered to stay late if I didn't get there before they closed. How does it get better? Well, I came with my own financing - and they offered to beat it - and they did! Yousif in finance was FABULOUS and didn't try to push additional items on us - what a gentleman, and he had us out of there in no time. Not only would I go back -- but, I've already recommended them to others. Thank you Spencer for the best auto-buying experience I've had to date. I bought a new 3/4 ton crew cab truck at Damerow in Beaverton because Damerow was the ONLY dealership within 300 miles that had the truck in the color that I was looking for! My salesman was Larry & he has been excellent with everything!! Everyone that I talked to at the dealership have been VERY nice & they have done everything possible to make sure my truck buying experience was great!! Larry is a great salesman & takes his time with me & every question I had & he even came into the dealership on his day off to help me understand the computer system in my truck so I could operate it properly. I always buy extended warranties on EVERYTHING I get, especially on vehicles & the finance guys Stewart & Mike were very patient & understanding with me, even though I changed my mind a few times on just exactly which warranty I wanted & I came back & changed it to a different one a couple weeks later & they were all good with everything! Some guy walking around in Portland punched the back of my $1100.00 passenger mirror a few days after a bought the truck, and broke a hole in it. I'm on my way to Montana & I let the service department know this & they went out of their way to help me get the mirror taken care of before my trip, even though it was very short notice to them! I have had some very bad experiences with dealerships in the past like I'm sure many of us have but with Damerow Ford, I couldn't be ANY happier with my experience at their dealership!! In my opinion if you want to buy a dodge or Chevy go to Dave Smith motors in Kellogg Idaho, but if you want a Ford Damerow Ford is the spot!! read more
