Today we brought in our Explorer for a routine oil change and transmission service. We were told the trani fluid was so filled with shavings and they refused to service it and it probably wouldn't make it out of the lot. Also, our car was functioning when we brought it in, but now. multiple malfunctions not related to the transmission kept us from driving to another shop. After telling not one but two advisers we were told that it wasn't on them. So we popped the hood and the air cleaner was not mounted. Suprise, now the car works, and we drove to Ammaco, and they found no shavings in the trani fluid, just needed to be serviced. I have been a customer of the shop for years and it just shocks me the absence of customer care they displayed today. read more

They wanted to charge $10k above MSRP. Negotiated it down 2k. Found the EXACT same car for 3k less at Landmark. We asked them to match and they said "do you want your money back?" I said I'm not sure and I need to think about it. GM kyoshi something said I have 1day to decide. Mind you at no point did I say I wanted to cancel and get a refund. I have never seen more stupid mechanic this place. I called in the service department to ask one simple question "how to start my car with push to start button if my key fob is out of battery?" The mechanic said "it not possible if your car battery or your key fob battery is dead. Would you like ford team tow your car to our service department?" Complete moron answer without any effort. Instead of telling me to put my key fob next the start button on to start the car, he suggested the most expensive way possible that could cost me hundred of dollars. If you have less than stellar credit, stay away. If you tell them that you cannot afford the payment they will give you advice that only helps them make the sale. It is not in your best interest, but in theirs. Also, they sold me a car that had no accidents, but then I found out a year later when I tried to sell my car at a different dealer that the car had an accident reported, but on a service they didn't use luckily enough for them, but the value of the car I purchased was affected. They are great and friendly when you are in the process of buying the car, but when you find their mistake, communication and friendliness go out the window. Bought my used Subaru from here. The good: I only dealt with three people, the sales person, manager and finance guy. That's actually not a lot for a dealership purchase. The car's inside was in pristine condition, it only had one owner which is a Subaru holy grail. The bad: Car was clearly over priced and I ended up negotiating a lot (like A LOT) less. It needs about $2K in repairs (like struts, brakes and other things a 15yr old car needs. No biggy, but price it accordingly). I paid cash for the car and they still ran my credit (I have excellent score that got affected by that unnecessary run) and they registered the vehicle to my husband.... even though I was the one buying. read more

What can I say, My journey started with Matthew in their service department where i found out my 2012 would cost more to fix then he was worth. I had already been looking at other cars as the escape alsi was a thirsty beast. Matthew not only took the time to really explain to me what was going on with my escape but also took the time for me to get a hold of my Husband and explain to him as well. I loved that Matthew said no pressure but that he could get me a member of the sales team if I wanted to talk to them, and although I thought it was a lost cause from previous days of car shopping I figured I would see if they could do anything. I was a huge challenge for Jared and somehow after a week of being told no, even from seedie little car lots, I managed to get a car, a car that works for what I need. Jared really took the time to listen and find out what those needs where and didn't even try to sell me on something that wouldn't meet them. This dealership is so transparent on everything that they can and will do that its refreshing. My Cmsx is perfect and I could not have asked for an easier buying experience Side Note for dog lovers: I have a special 4 yr old border collie that had to spend the day with me on the lot and every staff member was the kindest and sweetest person to her. Not only were they in the same ballpark for diagnosis and price (usually dealerships prices are quite a bit higher), but they sent me home in a Lyft and delivered my car when they were done ( which was 3 days and the other two who gave me estimates were 9 days!). I came to Damerow a few years ago with engine issues in a Ford Fusion that I bought from a different local dealership. After discovering the previous dealership had destroyed my engine, Damerow suggested that I completely replace it, which was fully covered under warranty. This repair took almost a month long and still cost me out of pocket. Ever since that repair, I have had a multitude of issues over the last couple years. After the engine came the transmission. Damerow completely removed my transmission to "repair" it, which was almost exactly one year ago. Now I have another leak in the transmission that Damerow "fixed" and they are refusing to help because I've gone past their work guarantee. I've spent a lot of money fixing minor issues that I believe were caused by their initial work. Now I'm in need of another major fix and Damerow is no where to be found. Being a single father of two children, I do not have the kind of money they are asking for to complete this repair. It's been a sad process for me to grieve the end of my relationship with Ford. My grandfather worked most of his life for Ford and gave me my first love for the Mustang. But after my experience in owning such a lemon, I will be looking for a new brand to protect my children and I on the road. Please be cautious about having work done at this shop if you can help it. Their customer service is decent, but unfortunately their quality and integrity of work is sub par. To make matters worse, one of my family members works for this company. The experience quickly turned from not bad to the same old car sale. Be ready to play to the game if you are buying a new Raptor from them. It took me a few days to line up my trade for a private party sale which they were actually fairly good with. When I called them the day of the supposed sale, they had all my info processed, said the truck was in detail and even asked my license plate preference for the DMV paperwork. "See you in an hour" they said. After all this, it sounded like everything was ready, right? Naaah. 15 minutes later and I'm driving to the dealership (from McMinnville, mind you) the salesman Dylan texts me and said multiple salesman are shopping my deal to other buyers for a higher price and I should hurry in. WTF? Another 15 minutes and I'm literally turning on to Canyon Rd, the new car manager Kiyoshi calls to inform me "the truck is sold, its not available anymore." What? You took all of my information right at 9am when you opened, the truck was available an hour ago, and now its not? I told them I would esign the contract the night before, or put a deposit down and they said they wouldn't. I've purchased many vehicles this way, why wouldn't they? The next morning they run all of my info/credit, meanwhile shopping my deal around. The entire time this dealership had the typical sleazy used car sale vibe, but taking peoples personal information and then trying to convince them its unreasonable to expect a vehicle to be there once you arrive is a new one for me. This place is shady and unethical, period. I wish I would have read the Yelp reviews first as I never would have even contacted them. Since my experience, I have only heard bad stories about Damerow. On the plus side, my contractor friend learned of my experience and shortly after took his purchase of (5) F-150 work trucks to Newberg where he had a five star experience. The next morning I call in utter disbelief and grief to what I have been dealing with. I AM A SINGLE WORKING MOTHER WITH A TODDLER AND THEY PUT ME IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE. They come to my house with a loaner and take the pos to get serviced. For 2 whole days I have no update. I call and call and call and finally get in touch with my service rep Shauna who tells me it's just a "bad battery". A whole other issue than what I took it back for. I asked about the engine warning and she had no idea what I'm talking about, doesn't listen to a word I said and does not check in with the tech like she said she would with no call back. I waste my time again going to pick up the pos only to see the warning about the coolant over temperature IS STILL THERE. I refused to take the vehicle off the lot and they let me take the loaner home while they have to service it again. This has been the worst experience I have ever imagined I'd be in at a "legit" dealership. This is something I'd expect off of a sketch dealership on 82nd. And by the reviews left here we were very scared and told each other...once it's bad...we will leave! Got there was greeted by Yesenia. She let us test drive the truck we were interested in and answered every question we had and was so professional and so nice! She even filled out "our" paperwork! After negotiating and agreeing on a price for a used car slightly below asking price, I sat down with Anthony, the sales manager, to fill out paperwork. I signed their sales contract and provided insurance information. Anthony then left to supposedly enter the information into the computer and he had another salesperson sit down with me to chat. I found out later that Anthony was stalling because someone else was looking at the same car. Twenty-five minutes after completing paperwork, Anthony finally returned and told me "Sorry, we sold the car to someone else - at FULL price." He stressed "FULL price" as if to say "F* you! Of course, we sold it underneath you for a higher price!" Wow - what a slimy move! I was dumbfounded that they would do this and walked out of the dealership. In the end, it turned out well for me - I got a better car at a better price at another dealer and dealt with people with souls. read more

High pressure tactics, pushy salespeople. My husband and I purchased a car here in October of 2017, and have regretted it since. We were looking for a new car that could safely fit a carseat to replace the single cab truck that we were currently driving. We had just learned that we were expecting our first kiddo, and the stress from that made us vulnerable to the high pressure tactics that led us to buying a car that we didn't have a chance to research and were unhappy with. We visited the dealership because of an ad that was posted for a Ford Focus, and when we arrived the Ford had "just been sold". We were pressured to stay until we signed papers for another similar car late in the evening (with a high interest rate loan from their internal finance team). We regretted the decision the next day when we learned about transmission issues with this particular model, and when we called and talked to the manager we were told that there was nothing we could do- we were stuck with the car. So shame on us, we should have been stronger and resisted the high pressure tactics (insisting that we not leave to eat lunch, insisting that we stay later and drive more and more cars). We just learned that we were going to be new parents and our decision making was poor. This review is written well after our purchase, but it's long over due- looking at the car in the driveway every day is a reminder of how we got taken in by a slick salesman. I found a truck here a few weeks back that I liked but I found it right after they took it in on trade. I had concerns about some things but was told to come back and take a look at it and my major issue with a LOT of paint issues would be addressed for me if I bought it. So like a dummy I actually believed they would honor their word and of course it never happened. I said I didnt want the truck if the paint issues were not fixed, was told they would be, its now a month later and if i can get a hold of someone, the most they are willing to do is give me touch paint to do it myself. I purchase 2 cars from Damerow: a Ford Explorer and. Fusion PHEV. The sales experience was fine in both cases. The service experience on the Fusion was beyond awful. The Hybrid power train started cutting out and providing a "stop immediately" message during hot weather starting in month 6 after purchase. I brought it into Damerow and Landmark Ford's service shop SEVEN different times in total. The first six they could not reproduce the error, even though two of the last times were immediately after the error. Finally, I brought it to them on a hot day and started VIDEOing my repair visit from the start to the finish. They then reproduced the error but still could not fix it. Damerow Service was the worst. At one point, a service manager ignored me while he chatted about sports with another client. When I asked when I would be served, he got indignant and said 'look bro.....'. At that point, I decided to secure a lawyer. In the first round, Ford has refused to repair the car. Battle is ongoing. For the love of God, I will never buy another Ford. I had bought a car on Christmas Eve. Long story short the water pump went out and they replaced it and then it started acting up again and the crankshaft pin went out. They suggested I trade it in. I got a 2019 Chevy Colorado and I mentioned to them that the tire sensor light was on. There's a crack in the windshield. The general manager stated that he would fix the crack, and it would be taken care of within the week the tire sensor light he filled it up with air and said it was good to go that night. I noticed that I was having a hard time turning my wheel to the right. I called the sales guy that I had worked with the day before and informed him that I am having a hard time turning right and that it grinds against the wheel well the salesman told me that it's because my tires are too big and that's gonna happen unless I sell my tires. I informed him that it was not my tires that my whole entire passenger side is an inch shorter than my driver side, and that it leans and it cuts into my wheel well. My tire on my passenger side is not centered, whereas all my other tires are centered. Ford stated that they would fix the issue and they have yet to do that. I have called numerous times to have this completed and they take my name and number down and never call me Back. I have asked for assistance multiple times, I have even emailed the general manager and the manager of services and nobody has contacted me back. I even talk to the finance manager and she won't even contact me back. I asked her to withhold the check a week or pay and they turn around and cashed the check, but will not fix the issues that they stated that they would fix. read more

My son took his car to get the works package and called to add installing new windshield wipers. They have a special on the Ford owner site and the cost is $19.96 for the wipers. They charged him the hourly rate to install them which is $60.00 and $60 for the wipers. The works package is $60 so $120.00 to install wipers is robbery. I go to Newberg Ford and they install the wipers for free and charge the sale price. Guess where my son will not go in the future and where he will go next time. When I got my car back after a whole month has passed there was nothing done to it. When I called Crill to check the status of my car all he said was " I saw your car in our lot that's it". When I asked him to transfer me to the people working on my car he diverted the request to having them call me cause he can't find them even though his office is right infront of the representative working on my car. This dealership and the personal doesn't take their job serious, they dont take Ford's morals serious as a franchise. Come on. I called twice tonight trying to schedule my 90K service for my Ford Focus. Both times I was told that I had to speak to an "Advisor". The first time I called I was told that it could be 5 minutes, it could be an hour. Just so you know, that verbage needs a lot of work. I didn't get a response after an hour, so u called back. I was then advised that I would be put on the "priority" list. That was about 90 minutes ago. Honestly that is pretty poor, but if the regular employees can't schedule the major servicing calls, at least make them knowledgeable about the services and what is included. I am still needing to know if a front end alignment is included with the 90k service. When I finally talk to someone and schedule the service, I can only hope I can improve my rating...YELP wont let me give 0 stars. read more

Bought a car here and within a year it was worth half what I owed on it. They got me with a 11% interest rate on a 7 year loan without my knowledge. And they made me get every warranty possible. Then I go in to use my paint warranty to fix some clear coat and they deny me. All of this money for warranties for nothing basically. They will scam you and trap you in the car you buy. We received a call 30 minutes before our appointment (we were already on our way) saying that they may have sold the van out from under us. Sure enough, when we got there the van was sold. By far absolute worst dealership you could ever go to. Scammed me a total of 4 times pulling the most illegal bs on me trying to take advantage of me. First time coming, had practically a brand new car completely paid off w no miles on it and gave that for trade in, and put 2k down, and was rushed and forced into buying a car I did not want for very expensive. I walked in asking for a gt and they grabbed my old car keys from me saying they would look at it to see my trade in value then never gave my keys back even after having my parents on the phone with me screaming to give my keys back because I'm not buying a car I don't want because they just wanted a quick sale. I had the ecoboost that I did not want for a year and come back for them to beg me to come back in because my trade in value is basically gone and if I wait any longer I will get nothing for my car basically. When it was a 2023 mustang ecoboost with less than 12,000 miles on it. I go in multiple times with salesmen there asking me on dates and being highly unprofessional texting me nonstop on social medias as well. Would tell me they would give me the best offer and that I can't wait any longer to trade the car in for the one I should've gotten. I reminded them how they screwed me over the first time big time and it won't happen again. I come in for the gt 2024, and they first have me sign papers that are agreeing to be a certain payment and interest rate. I first walked out on the first few offers they gave me because it was way too much. I gave them my limit being a college student as well. They came back out to me and gave me a final offer that was lower and I took it as long as they agreed to install leather seats for me for free because that's what I wanted in the car and they just wanted another quick sale from me. Even after the ecoboost situation. They fully agreed to covering my installation and leather seats, AND they even added the fact I get to choose whatever color I wanted including pink my favorite color. I have texts from the salesmen, and a paper signed by the manager agreeing to it as well. A week later they call me in to download an app for the bank that approved me. Come to find out I drive all the way there for them to tell me "good news! Your loan is one year shorter than it was going to be so the only difference is you'll be paying 150$ more a month than what you signed off to" I instantly started crying and told them you guys will not pull this crap on me again and went to my car and grabbed the first contract I signed a week before that w the first payment and interest rate. They tell me I either have to do that one or I had to go home in my old car after already having the new one for a week and signing a whole contract for it. I signed off on the new one even though everyone I've told this to has told me I could've just left w the new car since I had a contract signed already and they were big time trying to screw me over AGAIN. They are snakes and the fakest most utterly heartless humans I have ever encountered. I then get a call from the leather company who were doing my seats and said ford called them saying they never told me or signed off to me getting the pink leather seats then making me look crazy and a liar. They are the complete opposite of a reputable company. The managers and salesmen were the most unkind, snarky, money hungry desperate workers I have ever seen in a business.
