They did this without annoying our renting clients or making life difficult for them. They cleaned up after the project and took away all the debris of the old stairs and arbor, plus the plant material that we asked them to clean up as well. Their bid for the job was careful and appropriate. I highly recommend Becker Custom Construction. We've already asked them to do some work on our own home as well.

I received a response from Tim who came to the site, inspected the project and even agreed to proceed/provided a verbal estimate. Despite this, he then stopped answering my messages and calls. Exceptional Expertise, Craftsmanship, and Professionalism!…read more We invited bids from three highly qualified companies to rebuild the roof deck over our garage. Although TGR's bid fell in the middle of the price range, their expertise set them apart. We were particularly impressed by their understanding of the challenges involved in constructing a flat roof over a garage--one that would drain properly and, most importantly, remain watertight. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Jordan provided a prompt, detailed, and accurate estimate. Martin, the production manager, devised an excellent solution to our roofing challenges. And Dale, the project manager, was frequently on-site, attentive to every detail, and always easy to reach. True to their word, the entire project was completed in just two days. The crews worked tirelessly, taking only a lunch break, and their skill and craftsmanship were evident in every detail. Everyone we encountered was courteous, friendly, and thoroughly professional. The coordination among the team members was seamless. TGR delivered exactly what they promised, on time and with exceptional attention to quality. We couldn't be more pleased with the result and would recommend them without hesitation!

I hired Alan to replace cedar shakes and do some finishing woodwork on the exterior of our home…read more We met Alan based on a referral from another home services company. From the beginning, Alan was methodical, communicative and prompt. He showed up to give us an estimate and answered my numerous questions about the job at hand. By the end of the same day of his initial visit, we had a detailed estimate in email, which we approved. Our house was remodeled in the past with uniqueness and quality materials in mind, but with 80% completion on many aspects. We needed a contractor who could help complete our unique vision. Alan replaced a large area of cedar shakes on the back of our home, helping erase the evidence of a decayed deck we previously removed. He also crafted a solution for a corner where the previous homeowner didn't seal up the house properly. Alan was organized and gave great attention to detail. He communicated his arrival and departures each day, and ended up finishing ahead of schedule. I am super happy with the level of attention that was paid to each detail of the job, and will hire Alan again for a future project.

Jordan came to remodel my house immediately after COVID and at a rough time, so i was pretty raw…read moreand beat-up mentally. My mom had just died, and i got dumped pretty brutally, plus I have pretty bad social anxiety, so having a bunch of people tearing up my house while i live in the garage was never going to be fun. But Jordan is so chill and helpful and positive and just gives off such a general capable vibe that he was absolutely the best possible person for the job. The one time i heard him lose his cool was when he chewed out one of his workers for, of all things, cussing! The guy was bad-mouthing my house, and Jordan told him he could leave if he didn't like it. I was thinking, hell yeah! You tell him Jordan! And not only does he have a calming effect on a tough situation, he also does good work and i admire his attention to detail and flexibility. He is earnest and sincere, and he listened to all my ideas and concerns, and any feedback he had was smart and informed, and he gently steered me away from some dumb ideas i had. In the end the only part of the remodel i don't like is the part I did. I painted my fireplace a gross color. For all the other design choices i was to afraid to make on my own, he had someone he knew to help me through it. The lighting lady, the flooring people, the designer lady, all great and helpful. Really, if you want good work and good vibes, Jordan is your guy. And shout-out to his worker guy Christian too. That guy is a ray of sunshine!

Update: After going back and forth with Sean about this project here is what has come to light…read more This project should have never been done. He admitted that the scope of work would create structural instability which was never communicated prior to it being done. He doesn't want to fix it or hire a structural engineer as supposedly the 3 that he works with don't want to touch this project. We have started the steps to file a CCB complaint. I HIGHLY recommend you guys look at the yelp reviews. Shocking to say the least. For a what seemed like a simple job these guys sure liked to mess it up. We have a detached shed/garage that was built on piers and we needed it to be reinforced with concrete because we are converting it to a gym. We sent in photos and got a reasonable quote. When they got out here they couldn't get their equipment back to location (I could have told them that and they could have seen that based on Google map photos). So there was an upcharge of $650. Fair. Then while they were in the middle of the job they basically said they couldn't do what we were asking. That what we wanted would be more labor. We agreed. New upcharge of $1550. Annoyed, but we want it done. They said they'd tape plastic tarps up to protect the interior walls from the concrete. They didn't. Splatter is everywhere. They said they would take out the entire plywood floor and pour concrete up to where it was. They poured it to just under where the floor was. They also left a corner of the floor and didn't even cut it square so we get to figure out how to install a floor around it or how to remove it without damaging the concrete underneath it. They also had multiple workers smoke in the backyard just feet from the house. I was upstairs and had a few downstairs windows open so now my whole house smells like cigarettes. I am very sensitive to it and get migraines. So that's great. They also used several of my own tools for the job. Which was wild to see. They used my hammer, mallet, and a dewalt ratchet set. They also used two brooms to sweep the concrete debris so now there is dried concrete in them. Overall highly would not recommend these guys. Nearly 8k for this is crazy. So now we have to clean off all the walls from the splatter and figure out how to remove the old flooring they charged us $1550 to remove but didn't. Also the floor isn't even level.
