Note that tix are only refundable within 24hrs of purchase and not within 24hrs of the event. We left the parking lot behind Crate & Barrel on Knox about 15 minutes early, since they were able to verify that we were all present. The van was the right size for the group, not a large bus like I've been in before. It was a nice van. I totally forgot to take a photo of it, as we walked around the corner, saw it sitting there & boarded. We left shortly after that! Our tour guide was fun and inserted some nostalgia along the way. I was born in Dallas but learned a few things about Highland Park that I didn't know! We stopped at 2 houses for photo ops (about 5 minutes) and then a bathroom/treat/drink stop at La Madeleine (love it) for 10 minutes. It was a lot of fun - one side of the van would say 'OOOOH' and one side would say 'AHHHH'. Wisely they asked us not to take photos, as the light from the phones reflected on the windows, which makes it difficult for the others to see out. Tickets for 2025 were $45 + tax. A nice value for the 1 1/2hr of fun and new friends!

John was a great tour guide: very informative, friendly and patient with our group. We went on a general tour (where we got to ride in a very nice van) and got to walk around a few sites such as Pioneer Plaza, the Dallas Farmers Market and Cathedral Guadalupe. I got some great pictures. John also does a JFK tour about the assassination that sounded very interesting but due to time constraints, we couldn't take part in. However, if you're looking for information on Dallas, seeing what makes it universal and want to partake in a tour this company is definitely a good choice for that. We also discovered Lockhart Steakhouse at his suggestion and were very pleased with that experience.

Beware! We had…read morereservations for a 630 pm tour, as we arrived there were NO signs, NO buses, NO NOTHING. After walking around mockingbird station and asking other tours if they had seen the bus or even knew anything about the bus in the freezing cold for an hour, we finally decided we were scammed and left. If you try and call customer service they are conveniently located in new York and not taking phone calls at night. Basically if you want to walk around in the cold looking for a mysterious bus go for it, but you'd be better off saving your money and driving around yourself.

What we got instead was a full-blown no-show and two devastated kids. The morning of the event, I got a notification that the pickup location had changed from Grapevine Mills Mall to Hop & Sting Brewery. Inconvenient, but fine. We arrived 30 minutes early (per instructions)... only to find no bus, no staff, no check-in, and a brewery that had zero idea what we were talking about. They'd never even heard of the event. The bus was scheduled for 6:00 PM. By 6:20, there was still nothing. We were literally the last family standing on a dark corner, trying to reassure two little girls who were trying so hard to be patient. We finally gave up, loaded the kids into the car, and headed toward Main Street to salvage the evening. At 6:26 PM, I finally received a text: "delayed departure -- leaving at 7." My five-year-old begged us to try again, so we turned around. We arrived early again. We waited again. Another 30 minutes. Still no bus. Still no staff. Still no communication. My kids were crushed all over again. There was no working contact number, and the multiple support emails I sent went unanswered. At this point, it's hard to view this as anything but an elaborate scam. I spent $216 for nothing but a life lesson in disappointment for my kids. Save your money, your time, and your holiday spirit--this "experience" is not real.

Come to find out - this place is actually the "Bishop Arts Winery," and only opened up a restaurant a couple months ago! We arrived at 7, and we were the only guests there for an hour as the musician set up to play. By the time 8:15 rolled around, the music was in full swing and the 7-10 tables were all occupied by old couples, groups of friends, and even a family with 3 young kids! Although the space itself is small, it wasn't claustrophobic at all - it was homey and nice. Not too loud either. The ambience was very romantic; I loved the interior decorations that made it feel like little Italy and home all at the same time. Now for food - they bring out hot, Parmesan dusted bread as you order and wait for your food...mmmmm. We got the BAW Cabernet Sauvignon by the bottle (24.99) and she let us know that it would be $8 per glass, so it's a bit cheaper to go for the bottle. We had heard good things about the cheese board, so we got a small. Perfect appetizer: at least 6 different tastes of cheeses, salami, different spreads and jams and crackers. Loved it, perfect for 2 people. Our waitress also inspired us to get this fried artichoke/crab meat ball...sounds weird but it was SO GOOD!!!!! Show stealer for sure. I got the classic spaghetti marinara, and Trip got the Bolognese lasagna. Both were impeccable, we are every bite - and the portions were generous but not excessive! Our service was awesome - it felt like they had at least 3 people circulating the small room to make sure everyone was taken care of. Wonderful experience and can't wait to go back!!!
