We booked a Sunday at 2:30 time to celebrate Mother's Day with out of town family. After we get down there early, we get a message at 2:15 that it has been delayed until 3:30. We waited an hour and a half and see the bus pull up and let off the previous riders. Then it pulls away..at 3:35 we get a message saying it has been canceled. So we had paid over $500 for the tickets 6 weeks before, had family drive in from out of town only to sit in downtown Dallas and then have to drive back. There were people from Oklahoma and Tyler who came in also. Looks like there are several reviews of this happening. read more

I did not have a positive experience on 12/27/2025 for the noon tour. I was not happy that the bus was hot, and has a narrow isle. I had to lean over to keep other people's rear ends away from my face and table. Staff were sweating heavily, and did not look professional in their attire. The food tasted ok, but not good enough to brag about. Who wants to drink hot tea on a hot bus on a hot day in Texas? No thank you. The bus broke down near Deep Ellum, and there was no expected time of arrival for a replacement bus or mechanic. We called Uber for transportation back to our hotel. I was not able to reach anyone or leave a message to request a partial refund when I called the number listed online. I am not able to recommend this attraction at this time. I have mixed feelings about this experience. The bus was an hour late. We were told there was a bus issue and they had to switch buses to one with a non-functioning bathroom. We went on a colder day so the temp inside was comfortable. The service was awkward, one of the servers did not look happy to be there. I expected some sort of "tour" or entertainment during the ride but got neither. The bumpy ride around downtown was not that enjoyable. However, I really enjoyed the food and tea. A bit dry but flavorful and fun to try small bites of things. We ended up eating every single item. Tea portions are small but that's really all you need and you get to keep the cup. Such a cute concept!! I went with 3 other girls and we did the luxe options. Shout out to Liam and Mackenzie. They did AMAZING. Give them a raise. They are 5 star rating!! They are the main reason I'd come back. 4 stars overall ..bc I think maybe whoever was driving the bus needed a little more practice. Dallas roads and traffic isnt the best but at times those turns were a little rough. I liked the idea of being able to get a "shot" size of all the teas so that we could try all the teas. My only wish was, I wish we could have gotten our favorite one to fill up our cups to take with us! So sad we couldn't get a chance to drink more of the ones we liked. If it was peak Texas heat time I could see how this experience would be kind of miserable with the heat. The upper deck does have a ac unit. if you want cooler to ask to be sat near that more and if you get cold easily to ask to be seat further away towards the back. The experience itself is fun but I would recommend doing this tour in a city you're not familiar with. The tour will be more exciting. The staff was great and entertaining on the mic during the bus ride. The food was pretty good and included traditional high tea bites, plus a mocktail. The Dallas tour can't serve alcohol. You get a free tumbler to drink your tea in and to take home. We got 4 pours of different teas and the pours were small. But not all buses have a bathroom on board so you gotta pace yourself on the teas anyway, lol read more

I took my mom because she loves tea and she really isn't familiar with Dallas. We arrived early and sat on a bench nearby waiting for our tour to begin. The check in and boarding process is quick and easy which will benefit those that decide to go this summer. All seating areas are booths for 2 or 4 people and the petit fours, tea sandwiches and desserts are already on your assigned table along with ink ceramic plates and gold silverware. Very classy. Once the tour begins they serve you tea every 30 minutes or so. I wish they would have told us that we could throw away any tea you didn't like because the decaf is very not good. The items to eat were all good and I have no complaints and the tour guide that sang and told us about the tourist places was delightful. I really enjoyed that part. They even celebrated birthdays and anniversaries for those who were riding which was a nice touch. It was really enjoyable and I highly recommend it. Our tour Sat was delayed twice only to be canceled in the end! This is extremely disappointing and unprofessional on your end. After reading the recent google reviews, it is clear this is an unacceptably unorganized company, which quite frankly shouldn't be running. And we do not appreciate being lied to. We were told that there was a second bus coming when you clearly only have one bus and we waited in the heat for over an hour before you decided to cancel. You should not have prepaid options if you do not have the ability to complete the tour. This was a special occasion for Mothers' Day and for my mother's birthday, as well as, my daughter being in town for this week. This is not something we can just easily reschedule. Clearly this is an issue you haven't had enough incentive to fix and so we will be leaving a google review accurately reflecting our experience and contacting the Better Business Bureau. I purchased the petite package for my daughter and I. I wasn't sure where the actual meet up location was until I downloaded the TopView app. I don't believe this is required as some attendees did not have their tickets available, but Brad was able to look them up and check them in. I do think you want download the app for a faster and smoother check in. The pick up address is 646 Main St., directly in front of the JFK Memorial Plaza. There is parking lot right near that location. Despite having the petite package, we were able to get on board fairly quickly. We were designated to the top at an assigned table. Everything is already set up for you. They do serve bottled water, which you are able to request additional throughout the ride if needed. They do come around with 4 different types of tea on the bus, all hot. The flavors were a cinnamon, apple, Wildberry, honey, and a green mint when offloading. There is not a lot given but it's a nice sample to sip on. The sandwiches and treats were really delicious. There is one of everything for each person. They even came around during the ride and served a miniature shrimp tostada. Ashlynn, David, and Q were terrific. Ashlynn was singing and providing details on the guided tour. She also went from table to table having conversations and asking if there were any celebrations. It did get a little warm on the sky deck, despite it being in the high 60s the day we toured so I would dress comfortably. The tour itself was really great. It lasted right at a 80 minutes. at the end, they do have a tip jar. They're also displaying tablets for cash app and Venmo if you would like to tip. I really wanted to love Tea on the Town, especially since this was a gift from my husband for me and my daughter, but the entire experience was frustrating from the moment we arrived. The biggest issue starts with the meeting point. You're given an address that looks like a courthouse, but there are no signs, no instructions, and no guidance on where to park or where to wait. We ended up paying $15 for public parking and still had no idea if we were even in the right place. The only way we figured it out was by spotting other people dressed for tea. We waited past the 2:30 pickup time with no updates. It wasn't until I asked another guest that we found out it had been pushed to 3:30. She had just received a text. Since this was a gift, that message went to my husband, not to us, so we were left completely in the dark. At that point, we walked over to Corner Bakery Cafe to grab a drink and use the restroom. While we were there, we looked up Yelp reviews, and honestly, that was eye-opening. Many mentioned delays, cancellations, no air conditioning, and difficulty reaching anyone for refunds. We headed back early to be there in time for the updated 3:30 pickup, only to see the bus already pulling away. Moments later, my husband received a text saying the entire event was canceled due to "unfortunate circumstances." So in the end, we paid for parking, waited over an hour, and never even got on the bus. They refunded 50% and offered to reschedule, but after this experience, that's not something we'd consider. I prayed so hard for Jesus to take the wheel and be the air conditioner based on reading reviews about no air conditioning! And literally when my party was walking up we were warned by the previous group of women to avoid getting on the first bus because it had no air. Their make up & hair was all runny, ruined & messed up... I saw a man who looked like he was in charged and asked how do refunds work because I didn't want to ruin my own make up and he assured me that the air blew randomly and that that never happened before and that they were bringing us out a new bus so we waited and got aboard and low and behold the bus air WAS working, about two times it sounded like it was about to blow and I rebuked it in the name of jesus both times and it started back up and kept going! And so we enjoyed our time! We had 9 people in our group and had an amazing time eating all the finger foods which were SURPRISINGLY filling along with tasting one cold and two hot teas. Each treat was also very tasty and absolutely delicious. Not one thing I tasted was nasty.. There was a lady speaking and singing on a mic giving us info on the sights we were seeing and passing. I learned a lot about the city and saw statues I never saw before.. just when I thought id seen it all! What they don't tell you when you're purchasing your tix and they ask you to accept their 30 paged terms and conditions (not kidding. It's LONG), that buried about halfway through is a fun little nugget - if you need to reschedule for any reason it is a FIFTY PERCENT CHARGE. Which is absolute insanity, given that this is not inexpensive. I get a no refunds policy, that is understandable. But you can even change a freaking flight without this kind of charge. A convenience fee? Maybe. I emailed them more than three weeks prior to my date and asked to move to another date. When they told me the fee I pushed back and asked why. Got no response after two additional emails, so I called. A very sassy New Yorker answered and seemed extremely bored and unworried about my concerns; when I said it was insane to charge 50% and not list that on the main page or on the purchase page he actually laughed. I ended up paying because it was a gift I got for my mom and mother in law for Mother's Day and one of them ended up having a conflict. Just know that even though this is fun, be aware you will end up paying an a$$ load of money if you have any conflicts no matter how far in advance you let them know. And they do NOT care. Mr. Sassy Pants let me know "he was THE supervisor" so there wasn't anyone else to speak with. But thank god he did me a favor and lowered the fee to 40%. #blessed Also? I had to submit *images* both back and front of my credit card and my drivers license when I paid the extra fee. What in all the h*ll?! If I can purchase an international plane ticket without uploading my passport and credit card, you can certainly figure out how to collect payment without it. Ridiculously shady. There was no narration so all we do was ride around the bus and listen to a loud ass music while trying to eat hors d'oeuvres and tea sized sandwiches that were warm. And I don't think I feel comfortable eating warm, lobster rolls and warm egg salad. Sink in the bathroom was non-operational and apparently had been that way for quite some time. So there was no way to wash your hands after using the restroom. There was a bottle of German though in the sink so that you could at least sanitize your nasty hands. The bathroom was also very dirty. The floor was soaking wet and when you lifted the lid to use the bathroom there was blue water that had splashed up and been dried on the toilet seat and you can see all of the so-called debris in the toilet just floating around. I asked for a second glass of the rosé and was told that there was only enough for each person to have a small glass of rosé. I've had two different types of tease so far, but was told that we would have up to seven. This is definitely not worth the money. This is the third time I have been on this tour. The first time I took this tour back in September 2025, it was fantastic. It was narrated. The food was great. The atmosphere was wonderful and it was very exciting. The second time I took the tour. I did complain because there were some issues then and that was in February 2026 and now I'm back on it in June 2026 and I will never ever ever get on this again. I will not pay $100 per person for this tour. It has gone downhill since the first time! I am definitely asking for some type of at least partial refund. This is horrible! read more

Narrator was terrible. We could barely understand him. By the time we did, we missed seeing that particular. It definitely was not worth the money. A group of us ladies decided to check out Tea Around Town as we've seen various promotional videos. The tour bus will pick you up at a location downtown and parking is pretty easy to find in the area. The bus arrived on time and everyone was seated in a timely manner. The tour will take you around Downtown Dallas and a guide will point out historical locations and facts about Dallas (with instrumental music playing in the background). The hosts served various teas as we ventured through the city. We were able to eat multiple finger foods and sweets as we toured and there's a variety of items for everyone's taste. What a cute experience it was. I came here with my friend for some tea around town. We got the Petit package. The check in process was smooth, and as you are getting on the bus they let you know what table you are at. The Bus was beautifully decorated pink with flowers and beautiful gold accents. The tray of assorted tea sandwiches and treats was so cute. Everything was placed aesthetically pleasing, and I loved that there was two of everything so no one had to fight over food. The tea is served HOT by their and we tried 5 different kinds of tea. My favorite was the Peppermint Tea. Their staff is super friendly and they really make sure you are having a great time. This was supposed to be a girl day with me and my two daughters and we were all excited. The tea bus showed up 45 minutes late, but didn't let us board until well after we'd waited outside in the 30 degree weather for over an hour. Two parties were pulled aside (I was one of them) to let us know our tables fell over while enroute and we would have minimal food, but would get a refund. Cool. We'd waited long enough and were curious, so we got on. I had no idea what to expect. I have a gluten allergy and didn't think I'd be able to eat anything, but my daughters said the small amount of food we had was not great. My youngest will eat anything coated in sugar, but didn't finish her cake pop. The tea was good, but they only gave you two sips maximum in a sippy cup. I'm still trying to process the sippy cup thing. There was music and not a lot of heat, but I can only imagine being on there in the summer with no AC, so I felt fortunate. The ride around town was more like a "lets see what the unhoused in Dallas are up to." And that was peeing in the park, smokin' doobies in the sculpture garden (the one with a giant spiral cone thing), and covering themselves with whatever they can to stay warm. What was supposed to be a 90 minute ride was less than an hour. There's more I could say, but I'm still trying to sort through the tea bus weirdness. The tables accommodate 2 or 4 people and if you have 4 people and want to sit together you MUST buy your tickets together. My three friends and I bought our tickets in two's. Luckily we sat close enough to still talk a bit and take photos together. The bus left on time and was well air conditioned. It got a little stuffy once the bus filled up but staff was so kind and treats were so good that we barely noticed. It can't be helped in the Texas heat. We enjoyed the entertainment banter with the servers. They provided several teas to sample. I enjoyed the chilled teas the best.
