I like that parking is ample, there is easy access in and out of the park, and the walking paths are wide and well maintained. The State Fair is obviously the best known activity at Fair Park, and second the OU-Texas football game at the Cotton Bowl, but beyond that there is actually a lot of other attractions. Our recent trip was to the aquarium but along the way we encountered the farmers' market which I did not even know about. There were maybe 20 vendors selling all sorts of canned, bottled, and packaged edible items, as well as non-food arts and crafts. It was not as extensive as some markets we have been to, but it was pleasant enough. Our destination was the aquarium where they were featuring dissection of squids for kids. It certainly is not the biggest we have visited, but it is still fun for kids. Favorites were feeding the sting rays ($5 for food) and having minnows eat the dead skin off your fingers. Other than that, it was fun just to stroll around and look at the people, plants, birds, and turtles. It is all very family friendly and a great way to spend some time on a nice weekend day.

What a BEAUTIFUL day. My husband and I booked their 4pm bike tour & our guide Faz really held it…read moredown. He was super informative about Dallas history, stopped at all the most picturesque places and knew just the right tunes to play. When I booked the tour I wasn't aware that the World Cup would be in Dallas, so we had to take detours around some places due to high traffic. However, it was really cool to see what looked like the entire country of Argentina hanging out at Klyde Warren Park. We got to hear their beautiful chant & even almost got to see Messi. If the daytime tour was this much fun I could only imagine what the vibe would be like at night. Whether you're local to Dallas or just stopping through I definitely think this is one activity you HAVE to do.

Did I mention fun, because Will and our other guide made sure we were informed and made it back safe with smiles on our faces! We had plenty of photo ops and learned so much about the city with the Dallas wind blowing through our hair! Sharon Labrocca and I just enjoyed ourselves and even was able to stop off for an ice cream too! It is a great way to meet the locals, see the art and architecture of a city, get recommendations, and in general, get the "lay of the land." We are so glad we found Dallas Bicycle Tours! We had an absolutely glorious afternoon with Heather and Heath on their well-tuned and sized bikes, leisurely pedaling around downtown Dallas, stopping to see points of interest, appreciating the many gorgeous murals throughout the city, and discovering new parks and neighborhoods that we want to go back and explore more fully! Heather and Heath are lovely human beings, curious and engaging...though our ages and backgrounds differ greatly, they made it so comfortable and fun with their open and kind personalities. They focus on safety and on tailoring the ride to the desires of their customers and were open to switching things up to fit our interests. They adjusted quickly to our skill levels, and we are confident that they could meet the needs of any group. They supplied everything we needed, even ice-cold water. Additionally, their rates are reasonable enough that we could do any additional, more expansive tour with them if we were staying in town; we'd jump at the chance if we could! Give Dallas Bicycle Tours a try - You won't be sorry!

We do have the ability to customize the route depending on your needs & abilities. We can rent you one of our own bicycles on request. These will be a mountain bike or a hybrid bike (these are the best types of bikes for Dallas streets). Cycling provides us a way to social distance & be outdoors. Equipment is sanitized between riders. We begin by fitting you on your rental & doing a safety check. You will want to bring your own, $, sunglasses, water & a small fanny-pack or mini backpack if you have items to carry. The tour starts by going through Deep Ellum to the popular Deep Ellum Blues Wall as well as other murals. We will then head to the Trigger Fingers Wall followed by Fair Park. On the way back, we will wind through Downtown Dallas & stop at sites such as the AT&T Discovery District, Dealey Plaza, Dallas City Hall & Pioneer Plaza. We conclude at Farmer's Market & have a beverage with an option to stop for beignets from Le Bon Temps along the way. Photos will be taken along the way & a memory video compiled. There is a restroom on the route.
