Mike was our tour guide...and let me tell you he KNOWS the story...the facts...and the background of the day that changed American history(he was born and raised nearby). His tour is intertwined with humor, news clips, police radio broadcasts and numerous stops along the parade route of that fateful day. Frankly, I'm amazed that he can drive a tour trolley and speak the ENTIRE 60 minutes!! I know there are three different drivers, but if you can possibly be lucky enough to get Mike to conduct your tour, you'll be more than satisfied - kinda reminds me of John Goodman...funny AND knowledgable! Dallas only see below I am really upset with the Big bus tour in dallas. We paid for Hop on Hop off tickets. They put us on the city tour. We were not giving options to hop on and hop off to look at any of the attractions as advertised on the website. We had to get off at a location not near the final stopping point because we needed a pit stop. The lady told us they would not be back to pick us up or that there was not another bus coming. This is not a way to conduct a business. We were not told they put us on City tour if that's what they did. So we were expecting to be able to do sightseeing at each of the stops we wanted to get on or off at. What is the use of advertising a Hop on Hop off tour if you're not going to allow the customer to hop on and hop off where they stop and get on the next bus. We ended up paying for other transportation to get back to our car because we are two miles away where she dropped us off. This is very disappointing. We haven't had good experience with most of the bus up on and Hop off tours over the years, but this one was bad because we couldn't get a hold of anybody to talk to them about anything. read more

My family and I did the JFK assassination tour and then we did the Dallas city tour the next day. Both days we had Dina has our tour guide and she was outstanding. Both tours were fun and enjoyable. A lot of great facts and knowledge was provided at every single stop. We found the length of both tours to be prefect, not too long, not too short. It was a great way to spend some time getting to see Dallas and learning about the JFK assassination. Again Dina was the best and made the tour even better. We highly recommend doing either tours!! Such a fun addition to the JFK experience downtown! Although I will have to admit I was not particularly excited to do this when my family suggested we check it out one Saturday afternoon. I can't say enough positive things about the entire experience. The staff was friendly, the trolley was as clean as could be and the information was unlike anything I've learned throughout my years living in Dallas or no matter how many times I visited the JFK museum. Very unique spots are visited on this tour including Oswald's house (which I guarantee you'e driven by 100 times but never realized), the spot where Oswald "allegedly" shot the police officer as well as several other locales that made up this historic day. Props to the crew of the tour, they really do an excellent job of re-creating the day and making you feel like you are in 1963. I can't wait to go on this again. Tickets are reasonable priced especially if you bundle it with Reunion Tower or another trolley tour. Trolleys were on time with friendly drivers and comfortable seating. We took the JFK tour and it was amazing. Historically accurate and I was so impressed that we not only took the exact motorcade route but were treated to fun facts AND got to see the route Lee Harvey Oswald on his way to the Texas Theater as well including his rooming house! Everything looks exactly the same! We even got to see the route Jack Ruby took to shoot Oswald! I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is a JFK conspiracy buff or who likes to relive a piece of history. You can book ahead online or at the booth in front of the Texas Book Depository. He drove us around & even stopped long enough for us to take pictures. Our cousin liked that he reiterated the information & even asked questions. This was a good trolly tour, it was just a driving tour where you could hop off. Every 90 minutes they stop by to pick people up. This tour is really great for learning about the area and finding places to go back to. It's great to do when you first get to Dallas because you can scope out restaurants to go to later. Trinity and Deep Ellum are the areas to go for trendy restaurants and shops. They also give you a discounted ticket for the GeoDeck tour which is really awesome. There's no clear place to meet when you arrive, you just have to find the correct trolly. There's no public bathrooms so go before you go. Parking is at the museum or street parking. read more

Out-of-town family discovered this tour when searching for things to see in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We were skeptical but went along and are very glad that we did. This JFK assassination tour travels the route followed by President Kennedy through downtown Dallas the day that he was murdered as well as the path taken by his killer Lee Harvey Oswald when he fled to Oak Cliff where he also killed Officer Tibbetts. We've visited the Book Depository site many times, but had never seen the other sites in person (Oswald's rooming house, the movie theater where Oswald was captured, or the site where Oswald was murdered by Jack Ruby). The tour commentary was riveting and fully captured our imaginations so that we almost could feel the events unfold as they were happening. UPDATE: After calling the tour company, we were issued a refund very quickly. Great customer service! We went on the JFK trolley tour. The trolley is incredibly loud. You need to sit in the first two rows, otherwise you just get a tour of downtown Dallas accompanied by the sound of a jet engine. I think we were also unlucky on the day of as the speakers seemed to be broken. The tour guide plays audio from the time period that played shrilly while his voice was drowned in too much bass. I wasn't sure what to expect when I pounced on the Groupon for this JFK Trolley Tour but it was great! Scott is so passionate about the history of Dallas and loves teaching people about the infamous 11/22/63. First, the trolley is nicely air-conditioned which is a plus (especially here in Texas). The tour takes the exact route from that day and then it takes you on Oswald's journey after he fled Dealey Plaza and was captured at the Texas Theater. I learned so many things that I did not know about that day. My brother, who is a big history buff, also enjoyed the tour. Last weekend we took this tour and loved it! The driver is very knowledgable. The vehicle is climate controlled. Bring your camera because you can easily take pictures from your window view. Before the tour my husband and I only knew the very basic info about the assassination, so this was very informative. This company knows what they are doing! Oh my goodness! This was a fabulous tour! I highly recommend it! It was in an enclosed air-conditioner trolley, which was great! (Although don't expect it to be super cold. When it's 105 outside, you can't expect it to be 68 inside.) You stay on the trolley the whole time, so you don't have to worry about getting on and off. Maybe if you're a history buff doing research, then you might need a different tour. But for regular people like me, this was perfect. Who wants to be getting in and out when it's 105 degrees?!? The tour guide was very knowledgeable, too. I don't know how anyone can be a perfect mix of sweet southerner and stubborn Texan, but he totally was. The trolley had good A/C, which we appreciated in the middle of a 96-degree summer afternoon. It also took us through the site where Kennedy got shot, as well as through significant neighborhoods related to the event. Driver stopped long enough for us to take good pictures. Those were the good things. Our tour driver (I say driver because our tour guide was really a set of .wav audio files that the driver played) was too distracted with her phone and pack of index cards to realize that the light turned green 20 seconds ago. Well, where to begin. I can't believe how unprofessional this tour company is. My family and I were getting ready to board a tour and one of their tour directors by the name of Sam came up to us and started harassing us as to why we were going to another tour company and how much we were paying for the tour. She was aggressive and demanding. Knowing that this tour company has these kinds of employes makes me question their whole company. this is an hour long tour that will take you through lee harvey oswald's actions after the president was killed. it takes you past his boarding room and through the neighborhoods he walked after retrieving his gun from his room. you'll see where tippet was shot and the theater oswald was arrested in. you'll also drive by the location that used to house jack ruby's nightclub. the tour guide clearly subscribes to the lone gunman theory and the tour only gives information supporting that theory. our tour guide seemed perfectly nice but he had a speech impediment and i found him very difficult to understand. for me, this wasn't worth the $60 (plus tip) we spent. read more

We took this tour and loved it. The minis were excited to ride on a trolley and the price was reasonable. It is climate controlled so a great activity for a roasting summer day like today. Living in Dallas, we get a ton of JFK history but this tour follows the route of Lee Harvey Oswald, which is a twist. I had never seen any of these places before. The guide was knowledgable and professional and a good driver. I was never fearful like I have been on other driving tours. I was late for the tour that we booked bc of traffic in the area but they were nice enough to get us on the next tour. This is going to be my go-to activity for out of town guests. read more

This was our first trip to Dallas. As usual, we try to find a "city" type tour, just to get our bearings. We came across the Trolley Tour right outside the Old Red Courthouse. We signed up for the city tour, and Scott was our guide. What an amazing, passionate guide! It was a great tour and we loved all the side stories. Scott suggested to us to come back the next day and take the JFK Tour. We did and were blown away by Scott's passion, and he was so informed. I can only give this 3 Stars, but I highly recommend this tour. Whether you are a JFK buff or not, this was one of the worst days in American history, and its a great tour. Its starts in the city and goes thru to the suburbs. It was very interesting to re-trace the steps in history. Its just a regular to run-down neighborhoods, and the City. The Tour driver was exhuberent . My reason for 3 Stars instead of 4 or 5, was because the Tour Guide gave some information that I consider "embellished". They give the tour based on Lee Harvey Oswald being lone shooter, which is understandable, so then you should stick with the Warren Commission report Based on the above, the Tour Guide gave some incorrect information, for instance, Lee Oswalds finger prints were found on the 4 shell casings after the shooting of JD Tippit. Per the Warren Commission, and the FBI ballistics reports signed by J Edgar Hoover, this is not accurate. Also, he stated that Lee Oswald was the only person missing after Roy Truly took attendance. This is incorrect, there was another employee missing, and he was taken in and interrogated as well. He also stated some information about finger prints on the rifle, about prints found 30 years later. I cant confirm or deny that, but on that investigation, no Oswald print was found on the rifle, via FBI reports for the Warren commission. I respect that the go with lone gunman theory, but then just request they stay to the facts of the Warren Commission, and not embellish anything. One of the worst days and weekends in American history, just request we keep the facts straight. Also, we stopped at the JD Tippit shooting, and would have been interesting to know where Helen Markham was standing, and where Acquilla Clemons house was. Once again, Tour Guide did a good job, just the embellishment of the facts really bothered me. read more
