I was walking out of the Opera House and was like what is that Golf Cart looking thing with everyone laughing? A new sort of touristy tour? NOPE! I looked on Yelp for the " E Frog" and called the number. A text came back and said, "Name, how many, address and destination?" I was like wow the E-Frog is my perfect date. haha. I mean......uh so I gave him said info and a text came back with an ETA. We hopped in and we took off. Hair blowing, sun shining, and PETE was full of info and spunk. We laughed and had a blast for our 7 min journey from Uptown to the Perot. When he dropped us off we booked him for an hour or so later. He text me when he was 5 min away and we went back down and hopped over to the Crow Collection. They do not have set hours, but try to end by 11pm. 13 Frogs in the Fleet. All over uptown to FairPark and in between. If a game at the AAC, or an event at AT&T, etc is taking place they book up super fast. So be in the know you may wait a bit for a ride. They hold I think 6 ppl in each and are installing doors. I like the open air about them though. They are super clean. You just feel like a kid all over again. It is amazeballs. Do not be an uptown jerk and freeload like a $30,000 millionaire. Lets keep these guys going. The advertisement and our tips, bc they do not charge for rides, will have the Frogs creating Tadpoles. I cannot believe how great of a value and how much these guys once again exceeded my expectations!! I have lived in Dallas for 7 years and thought I knew history here but not all the cool little things this ride will teach you. We did the beer tour about a year ago which was amazing too. Between these two events, if you have friends in town once should be a fit. Both are awesome and this outfit has more wild knowledge about the history of this town than you can process. All you need to know: 1 - They provide short range transportation for free (working on tips only) 2 - They use electric-operated vehicles (think golf carts on steroids) for eco-friendly transit 3 - They are way cooler than taking cabs Just send the guys a text message regarding when and where you need to be picked up, what your name is, and where you're headed. I was in Dallas a few days ago with a couple of friends. The cab rides are very expensive. One night we ran into the e-frogs outside a restaurant. From that point on, we used their services. When I had to drop my car off at the shop in the middle of the day and everyone was at work...who did I call??? E-FROGS!!! I couldn't get the Uber app to work on my phone, so I simply texted my location, my destination, my time of pick up and my number of riders and that was it. Granted, I did have a 45 minute wait, but it was cool. I was just happy that I was going to get back home soon. The driver was friendly and and held a conversation with me during the trip. Although this service is free, tip the drivers! This is an awesome option for getting around the Downtown and Uptown area. E-Frogs serves as a great designated driver, too! read more

We cannot recommend E-Frogs enough! We were visiting Dallas from out of state and found the E-Frogs brewery tour online while researching things to do. Six of us went on the brewery tour and had a blast! Jeb was an amazing driver--fun, helpful, laid back, and hilarious. He became part of the group and even showed us some historical spots around the city on our drive. We would recommend the brewery tour to anyone--three samplings from three to four breweries topped off with pizza. Later that night we needed a ride into Deep Ellum for dinner and drinks, so we texted E-Frogs for a lift again. We received a response almost immediately confirming our pickup location and time. We were happy to see Jeb was our driver again. The service itself is free. You just tip the driver. Seriously brilliant! I would take E-Frogs over Uber or Lyft any day of the week. First time using e-frogs singe we moved downtown and it was a great experience! I texted at 6:50 asking for a ride from main st to house of blues asap and received a reply within a minute saying they could be there at 7:10. We went down at 7:10 and he pulled up right on time! Our driver, Jeb, was personable and fun, and knew exactly where he was going. The electric vehicle was comfortable and I felt totally safe. When we got to HOB he asked if we'd need a ride back and we said yes, if they're still running. They usually stop making runs at 11 but will stop early if business is slow. He said just text him when we get out. After the concert ended around 10:40 I checked my phone to see a text from Jeb asking if we needed a ride, sent 10 minutes ago. I replied "yes please!" and we saw him parked right up front when we exited the building, waiting for us. So nice and convenient! There is no official charge for the service, the drivers work for tips. But it's customary to tip about $5 for trips a mile or less, then more if it's over a mile. Or a few bucks per person if you're in a group. They take cash and the drivers have square on their phones so you can pay with a card. They should be getting venmo soon. This is a great service to take advantage of if you live or are visiting downtown! read more

Don't plan on them arriving... ever!!! Made plans for pickup an hour and a half in advance, moved our pickup location for their convenience and we arrived five minutes early. Only then were we told they had overcommited and would not be able to pick us up. We lost a great deal on account of E-Frogs inability to deliver on their promise, too bad!!! read more
