I have been intrigued by the building and this gave me a great reason to go check it out! I am giving this place five stars mainly because of the building itself! It is a great example of historically inspired architecture. It blends in perfectly with the motif and architecture of the historic downtown Grapevine area. The brochures in the visitors center are very organized and cover not only the Grapevine area, but also Fort Worth and Dallas as well. There is a nice working train display in the lobby. Grapevine leans heavily into its railroad history. Right now there is a very large space dedicated to Mayor William D. Tate's Jubilee Celebration of 50 years in office.

Someone said something about the driver not putting on music, speak up. They will be more than happy to set up your phone. I got to be the DJ for our drive. I played classic rock and we sung so loud we didn't need the karaoke mics lol We did a 10pm on Friday night & it was awesome to see Dallas at night. Our driver took us to The Blue Alley which had some great artwork and we got the tail end of a festival & I was able to buy some artwork from a local artist. This was our first time in Dallas and I just feel in love with the city. I called ahead and asked them if "kids" could go to. We had a 13 & 15 year old and they said Yes. Kelly welcomed us when we arrived and helped us get checked in. She told us how to get our garage parking validated, how to use our tickets for food, drinks, raffle drawings and autographs. She was delightful and we definitely took a shine to her. There was a full 2 hours of entertainment. A DJ provided music and the Chowboys dance team performed. Food was provided. I had the nachos, which was cleverly packed as a do-it-yourself entre. A generous bunch of tortilla chips in a flat box with several toppings that you dump on or dip in as you please. I saw the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches that had mounds of meat but no bbq sauce or other toppings. Two drink tickets were provided, too. A good assortment of canned & draft beverages and margaritas. There were many diehard fans who you would remember seeing at the games and some other special guests. Three current players from the Cowboys football team arrived for the autograph session. It was nice, meeting them, although briefly. The only thing missing were cheerleaders. How can you have a Cowboys Experience without Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Barry did a great job, organizing this event (and has been for years) but.. really?

The margaritas were good- only frozen one they had was jalapeño which was a disappointment if u don't like spicy which I don't. They had a dj that kept things going. The chowboys were entertaining but I really thought there would be more than just them to watch. Where were the cheerleaders? The autographs were organized but wish they'd provided or at least said you need to bring what u want them to autograph I had nothing so they signed the little ticket to see them.

Our tour guide Charlie did an excellent job covering the unique history of Fort Worth as we walked the main blocks of Sundance Square. He was a great story teller and very engaging. We felt sad to see what an impact COVID has had on the city - there are very few people out (on a Monday morning, anyway... it was hopping last Sat night!) plaza is no longer a place for gathering. The fountains are shut off, many restaurants have closed, and multiple museums have not reopened (not even the visitor center!). I wouldn't have been surprised to see a tumbleweed rolling down main street. From the tour we learned of many ups and downs Fort Worth has experienced over the years, and we hope this situation is no different. I'm ready to see Fort Worth's revival! My first tour was with Rebecca to the AT&T Stadium back in 2022. LOVED it, and I made a vow to take more tours with Discover Dallas Tours, in a year or few when I came back for another visit. Fast forward to now..... I decided to book the following tours with them: The Stockyards/Fort Worth. The Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas. Dallas Highlights/JFK combo tour. Southfork Ranch. All were phenomenal! But my personal favorite is the Fort Worth/Stockyards tour. I had the pleasure of touring with Rebecca for Southfork Ranch only. She is a wealth of history and information. You need recommendations for anything Texas, ask Rebecca! LOVE her!!! The other tours were with Erin. I adore Erin! She took her time with questions and was super patient and kind and informative, extremely helpful for visitors, like myself who wanted a true Texas experience! She's an asset to Discover Dallas Tours! These experiences were not cheap, but I learned a great deal from them, and I am addicted to their tours. Check out their website and see for yourself, what they offer, and what a variety of experiences you can get a chance to discover. When you take a tour from them, I promise you that you'll have a great time and create lasting wonderful memories of Texas! Trust me when I say it's worth every penny! Check them out, if you want a chance to see what Texas is all about! Highly recommended! Book ahead, and enjoy your time in Texas with Discover Dallas Tours! Thank you, Rebecca and Erin! Better late than never! I booked this fantastic tour with Discover Dallas Tours back in October,…read morebut this review is long overdue. My mom, who lives in France, came to visit me and my family in California for a few weeks. Before she flew back home, I wanted to create a special memory together. So, I surprised her with a weekend getaway to Dallas! We had a blast exploring the JFK Museum and the Fort Worth Stockyards, but the highlight of the trip was definitely our visit to Southfork Ranch. After researching several tour companies, I decided Discover Dallas Tours was the perfect fit. This family-run company stood out because Rebecca, the owner, personally called me after I inquired online. Even though the website didn't show availability, Rebecca was able to organize the perfect private tour of Southfork Ranch for us. She confirmed everything clearly via email and text message, including pick-up details and timings. Importantly, they are the only private tour company authorized by the owners of Southfork Ranch, making the experience even more special. The price was absolutely worth it. Erin, our guide (Rebecca's daughter), picked us up at our downtown hotel in a comfortable black SUV and drove us to the ranch. During the ride, Erin shared interesting facts about Dallas, the history of Texas, cowboys, the Fort Worth Stockyards and Longhorns. She even stopped at the Southfork Ranch gate for memorable photos before we arrived. Since my mom doesn't speak English, Erin found a comfortable and quiet spot for us to sit and provided detailed information about the ranch and the show. Erin was very patient, giving me plenty of time to translate everything for my mom. Her stories were captivating, and it brought back so many memories for both of us - we used to watch the show together every week back in France! The tour included a visit to the on-site museum at Southfork Ranch, where we saw photographs, magazine and newspaper clippings, props used in the show, and the famous gun used in the episode "Who shot JR?". We also walked around the house, saw the swimming pool, and the table outside where the family had breakfast. For fans of the original series, it's interesting to know that the interiors you see on screen were actually sets, while the exteriors were filmed on location at the ranch! Erin explained why the interiors weren't filmed at the ranch (you'll need to take the tour to hear the full story). The second series and more recent ones used the ranch's interior for filming. Erin was fantastic throughout the tour - friendly, patient, and attentive. She even took some great pictures of my mom and me. It was a perfect day for us. Thank you to both Erin and Rebecca! Overall, this tour was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend Discover Dallas Tours to anyone visiting the Dallas area.
