The system seemed easy to navigate and relatively user friendly. Especially for someone so accustomed to very little efficient public transportation. I wish I got more use out of my pass, but when my man has his vehicle, he'd rather drive. So we drove.

The Silver Line has been an incredibly convenient way for me to quickly get to the airport without the hassle of finding a parking spot or the associated expense. The train drops off at Terminal B. It's a quick 3 minute walk from the train station into the airport terminal, where you head up one level to check in, check any bags, and head into TSA security. That security checkpoint offers "TSA lite" where you get a pass to hand to TSA officers to keep items in bags and head through the normal metal detector. The downside of the train at DFW is if you have checked bags; if you come into any other terminal than terminal B, you'd have to exit the terminal, collect bags, then take the free shuttle bus service over to terminal B. At that point, lugging around checked bags, the convenience of the train is lost and it'd be much more worthwhile to take a rideshare. The Silver Line trains run on-time (sometimes a minute or two early, so... be early for the train) - just the ability to count on trains running per a published schedule is welcome change from many other cities I've lived in. The train is very clean, and I absolutely love the tables so I can pop open my laptop and squeeze in 40 minutes of work. I also like the ability to purchase & activate passes from my phone - fare officers checking for passes have been courteous and polite. In fact, every DART employee I've been near has greeted me, smiled, said hello, and asked how my trip was. It really feels they are working hard to make this a great experience for riders. A big downside is the schedule - every 15 minutes would be much more ideal. Having to wait an hour for the next train is brutal after a long travel day, but impossible if you're on your way to DFW and can't miss your flight. I really love taking the train so right now, when I arrive back at DFW, I get myself to Terminal B and hang out at Cantina Laredo (B29) until about 10 minutes prior to the train departure. Outside of the Silver Line, I've noticed that DART has made big improvements to the bus stations around where I live. They used to just be sad benches. Now many of the stations in my area are covered and semi-enclosed, protecting waiting riders from the heat, rain, and wind. I know I'm one of the few proponents of public transportation in the area where I live, but I do dream of being able to (easily) take the rail to sporting events, restaurants closer to the downtown area, or to big events like the State Fair. It would be wonderful to continue to expand on the Silver Line.

He's earned a special treat for the awards in school. We bought the tickets for a day pass. Luckily I had cash because the booth was not accepting any other form of payment. Everything was copacetic until the return trip and it brought back memories when I rode the bus in the greater Los Angeles area. Waaaay back, when it was the RTD (now the MTA). My friends & I called it Rough, Tough & Dirty because.....it was. Milo was oblivious to the cab surroundings, just looking out & enjoying the ride. All the while I was not breathing through my nose, trying not to touch anything. Folks, I felt like I needed a nice, long cleansing/disinfecting shower thereafter. Thankfully we were not accosted. Our journey lasted about a good 10-12 minutes. As long as Milo was a happy camper, our journey was complete. The wait for each way didn't take more than 10 minutes in total.

Fortunately these days we have a decent mass transit system in the Dallas area and most of the big metro areas like Houston. However, Texas is a car culture on steroids and I'll admit I don't use mass transit that often. Usually when I do it's to travel to the State Fair close to downtown(highly recommended). I can say from experience after riding the system many times, it works, I'm glad we have it and hope its expansion continues. Until then, ill continue using Parker Station to hop on the train.

They are currently in the process of fixing the issue. Our flight was expected to leave at 10:40. We got stuck on the plane in the heat for 30 minutes. Now we are waiting for the issue to be fixed in order to embark once again. Tentatively the airline stated that we should be boarding now but we still are awaiting. The staff on our flight were all nice and accommodating. They were also very hot and obviously have nothing to do with the issue. Hopefully this problem is fixed as soon as possible. We have a wedding to get to so hopefully everything isn't delayed any further.

My mistake - I immediately changed my name with the supporting documents and it was changed in a few days in the app. It wasn't until a few weeks later when I checked in, I realized my name never updated so I tried calling AA and they said it airline had to handle it. So the day of my flight, I visited DFW with my marriage license, old and new passports and a smile and I was greeted by Michelle at the AA counter who at first was welcoming, then her mood changed when I asked for help with my name change. She replied with a "why did you check in if it wasn't correct?" I thought ... because I want to still check in on time and I was told I needed to see a desk agent., which I politely told her and informed her that I had all supporting documents. She informed me that she may not be able to get my same seat or a seat at all since she had to un-check me in, and I said that was okay, I just want to make sure everything is correct and connected. She didn't reply much after that, but I still proceeded to be very kind. I ended up with the same seat, same boarding position and the flight was in no way full. I had no other trouble, but her demeanor was a little much for something that ended up taking her 3 minutes to fix. Oh well!
