They are dense and chewy cookies (my favorite type!) and also thick. :D Biscoff cookie (4.5/5)-- this one made me a fan! The cookie was sweet with pockets of Biscoff spread inside. Great for any Biscoff lover! The quality control isn't the best though, as the second time I had the cookie, it was dry and crumbly. If the cookie is usually dry like that, it would be more of a 3/5. I would risk another try though! Cookies and cream (4/5)-- this one was a good cookie too, capturing all the essence of an Oreo flavor. It didn't stand out in uniqueness but it was yummy :) this one was a little harder and crumblier than the Biscoff cookie, but now I wonder if it was just old or dried out... Pistachio brittle/toffee cookie (3/5)-- wasn't a fan of this one, as the taste was a bit off (either a little bitter or maybe artificial tasting?) and the brittle chunks were super hard, super sweet , and super sticky (like butterfinger filling but less melty!). The chunks were tasty (and veryyy sweet), but I had to pick them out and eat the separately since it didn't pair well with the cookie texture for me. MT says the service has always been nice, and they seemed really happy when he bought whole load of cookies, hehe~ Katie's Cafe is one of the go-to spots for his lunches out there!

The Texas natives always told me I have to try this place if I ever pass by one in a small town. Am I a fan of the pricing? Not really. I can find cheaper ways to fill my body with empty calories. Am I am fan of their freshness? I very much like that the bread was soft and the veggies were crisp. Maybe they are taking produce from the Subway restaurant in which they share space with? The chicken patty was not dry, so that's a plus. The burger patty actually had seasoning on it. No bland patties at this place. The seasoned fries are decent. Rally's still have the seasoned fries game on lock. The ketchup bottle on the table felt like it was straight out the refrigerator. It was a cool contrast using the chilled ketchup on freshly hot fries. The workers are extra friendly and do not rush you with ordering. The entire place was clean and cool. I'm glad these hot Texas summers didn't kill their air conditioning. I like that you can add a Blue Bell ice cream cone to your meal to really cool off. All in all, I would stop here again. Are they the biggest sandwiches? Not by a long shot. Did they taste really fresh getting chopped into my belly? Yes, that experience did happen. Unlimited Pepsi product refills while you dine in helps with getting you full. When you download the app, you get a free burger with your $10 order. That's essentially the cost of a combo meal there. Ask about what special promotions they may have that day. The app is pretty user friendly. Having 8 choices of Blue Bell definitely makes for an enjoyable time. They get the fourth star because having Blue Bell as a finisher. I have to try their shakes next time.

Mimsy's serves up some impressive barbecue in a fantastic setting. From the moment we walked in,…read morethe staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The venue itself is great, with a nicely decorated space that offers both inside and outside seating, along with a kids' play area--a huge plus for families. Now, on to the food. The brisket was a definite standout. It had a wonderful, rich flavor, and the salt and pepper (SP) bark was spot-on, providing a perfect crust. A nice, prominent smoke ring and a healthy amount of rendered fat made for a tender and juicy bite. The ribs were also solid. They had a great pull from the bone, but I noticed a slightly overpowering "hammy" flavor that detracted a bit from the classic barbecue taste I was hoping for. The house-made birria sausage was a fantastic surprise. It had a delicious mix of pork and beef, complemented by melted cheese and a good kick of chili. The casing had a satisfying snap, which I appreciate. For sides, the Maple Sprouts were exceptional. They were perfectly charred and crispy, with the maple flavor coming through beautifully without being too sweet. The jambalaya was also a strong contender. It was loaded with flavorful sausage bits, and the rice was cooked just right. After all that, we were happy to see they also offer some nice desserts to round out the meal. Overall, I had a great meal at Mimsy's. The brisket and unique house sausage are must-tries, and the Maple Sprouts are a delicious side that stands on its own. While the ribs were a little off for my personal taste, the rest of the meal and the friendly atmosphere more than made up for it. I'd definitely go back for more.
