Yummmm! Crispy mixed Korean spicy chicken wings with a side of pickled radish??? Yes please! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the radish was crunchy and pickly the staff was friendly and welcoming too. My only wish is they add the outside chairs back to the side patio instead of in front of the store.

Dak Good is the newest Korean fusion restaurant on Stanford Ranch Rd in Roseville. It's in the same plaza with Black Bear Diner, Azayaka, Crumbl, and McDonald's near Dick's Sporting Goods. It occupies the former location of Rubio's. Friendly, helpful service. Employee answered all my questions about the menu and offered me water while I waited. 7 tables for 4. 3 tables for 2. Dark red and dark brown decor. Comfortable and clean. Two handicap accessible restrooms. I look forward to trying the Lunch specials: Mon to Fri, 11 AM to 3 PM. Fun Korean menu: - Korean fried chicken (soy garlic, spicy, or plain; you can order Half & Half of 2 flavors) - Korean sliders (potato bun) - Korean tacos (flour tortilla) - Bao buns - Korean Corn Dog - Korean Cheese Balls - Bibimbap - Japchae with Bulgogi - Kimchi Fried Rice - Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes with fish cakes, ramen, and cheese melted on top) - Buldak (spicy chicken and rice cakes with cheese melted on top) - Bulgogi Fries Some Japanese menu items: - Chicken Katsu - Ramen - Takoyaki - Edamame Fried Cheesecake dessert is intriguing! I like that the Japchae comes with a good amount of Bulgogi. Bulgogi is a bit salty. I would order it again. If you order multiple dishes to go, you will get a reusable Dak Good shopping bag. How environmentally responsible! Welcome to Roseville, and best wishes, Dak Good!

Soft opening for the restaurant and decided to have it a try. The venue is nicely decorated and open. Definitely like red. Very Asian inspired. Food was very good. Service was minimal. Very hands off.

Tried this place out as we saw it was new and close by. Ordered the Combo meal for 2 and it was fantastic! Good variety of dishes; Bulgogi fries, fresh fried rice, your choice of spicy/soy-garlic fried chicken, and a slice of cake for dessert! All the staff there are very courteous, attentive, and kind. They keep the restaurant very clean and tidy. Great place!

Summary: Would go again based on taste and value (specials). Ordered through the QR code outside the window since we wanted to grab the food to go. Ordering online was seamless and easy, with the ability to add special instructions for each item if required. We ordered the lunch special 8 piece half plain, half soy garlic tenders with fries, tteokbokki, and beef bulgolgi bibimbap. The order itself came out in about 10 minutes. Which is quicker than other Korean fried chicken places I been to. The person in the front helping was friendly. The establishment is clean and included kiosks for self ordering. Our order came in a reusable grocery to go bag. I appreciated this as it won't get soggy like brown paper bags, collect a lot of steam like plastic, and is also more versatile in terms of reusable bags! We drove down the street to the mall to enjoy the food. The chicken and fries remained crispy and hot. The tenders were more like chunks; however it was soft, juicy, and had the nice crunch like korean fried chicken normally does. The plain chicken is still salted and perfect for my little who is picky about his "crispy chicken." The soy garlic had perfect amount of sauce without losing crunch. There is a balance of sweet and salty. The tteokbokki spice was not a burn your mouth and want milk. However, if you do not have spice tolerance above Sriracha, it could be spicy for you. I appreciated the generous level of cheese and the rice cakes were soft. There was fish cake and even some ramen in it too! The "broth" itself is very flavorful and not just salty tasting. I definitely would order it again. Only knock is that I wish the portion was as big as the bibimbap. The beef bulgolgi bibimbap was delicious. Meat was soft, veggies cooked well, and everything well seasoned. The bibimbap sauce topped it off nicely. Portion size was filling.

Great customer service. Good variety of items. The items we tried were flavorful. Would definitely try other dishes next time.

Delicious! We ordered the spicy chicken fried rice and soy garlic wings. The wings were caramelized meaty and crispy, but not overwhelming. Fresh. Excellent service and served within reasonable amount of time. Will definitely visit again!

this place is excellent! we came during soft opening after a long awaited period of just waiting for them to open. The fries are excellent the seasoned ones too. They're crispy and they came out hot and very quickly. The bulgogi bao meat was succulent and the bao itself had very generous stuffing and was tasty. The chicken itself imo is better than some of the wet chickens that vons has - it's excellent, flavorful, the soy seasoning is flavorful but doesn't jeopardize the crispy texture. A new staple of Roseville so happy they are here and they are incredibly kind. bathrooms were clean and service was great, the vibes of the place are very young but refreshing

Since it was our first time, we ordered a bunch of items to try. The pan-fried pork buns: were a highlight! Crispy on the bottom, soft on top, and filled with a clean, juicy soup that didn't have that heavy ginger taste. The soup dumplings xlbs had perfect, delicate skins and were incredibly juicy; the classic pork and the crab & pork were my favorites. The pork xlb had tender meat and was juicy, flavor was clean, the crab one is definitely for the seafood lovers, it has a nice SF umaminess too like a crab roe fishball lol. Other standouts included the spicy wontons in a great chili oil sauce and the truffle Angus beef fried rice, which featured surprisingly tender beef and a subtle, well-balanced truffle flavor. For dessert, the chocolate xlb, was excellent and tasted just like a strawberry Nutella crepe, though the matcha version was a bit too concentrated and bitter for my liking. Overall, the food came out quickly, the staff was friendly, and the service was great. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

unfortunately, Din Tai Fung has kinda ruined all other restaurants that serve XLBs for me…read more I dropped by Uncle Dumpling for lunch on a Saturday. There's a nice parking lot and, the collection of restaurants/stores in this little plaza give a nice vibe. There isn't a ton of seating inside; you kinda get an idea from some of the various Yelp pics.... and, there are a couple tables outside as well. The Food: - Pork Xiao Long Bao: this was fine...... I guess it's about as good as my memory of Journey to the Dumpling. Honestly, I'd say it's in the ballpark of goodness as the frozen Mila XLBs you can buy at Costco. again, Din Tai Fung has kinda ruined XLBs everywhere else I've gone since no one else comes close. - Spicy Pork Xiao Long Bao: this had an odd tanginess to it.. like there was a bit of kimchi in it or something... I didn't care for it (and, I do happen to love kimchi).. and, it wasn't very spicy either. pass on this one. - Spicy Wonton: this was probably the best thing I had here. it was fine. not particularly spicy. and a bit salty. but, it was fine. - Pan-Fried Juicy Pork Buns: I think the filling in this is the same as the XLBs... you just get it in a pan-fried bun instead. I think I actually preferred the regular XLBs bc the larger size of this thing made it kinda hard to eat. - Garlic Noodle: I don't know what I was expecting here... and, I know I shouldn't expect Crustacean (just like I shouldn't expect Din Tai Fung) bc this certainly wasn't anything like Crustacean. These were okay.... the flavor of oyster sauce dominated my palate in an unpleasant way. - Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings: these were okay. they ask if you want them spicy or mild. I got mine mild, but I probably should've gotten it spicy. The outside was nice and crispy, but the wing itself was kinda bland despite being covered with chopped garlic. Other things: - The food comes out fairly quickly & scalding hot..... so, don't burn your mouth! - I'd never really thought about it before, but every place that serves XLBs should also have spoons with flat bottoms; this place does not have flat-bottomed spoons. I like to rest my XLBs in my soup spoon while it cools, and since these spoons had rounded bottoms, my dumpling was always kinda lying sideways. - There's only one single-room unisex bathroom in the back, which is probably fine for the size of the restaurant; though, I did get stuck waiting behind a couple people when I needed to use it. so, I guess if you're not an XLB snob like myself & find Journey to the Dumpling and frozen Mila XLBs to be fantastic, then you may like this place quite a bit.... but I was rather disappointed....

Gangnam Ave has been my absolute favorite KBBQ spot for years, and after trying several places…read morearound Sacramento, this one still tops them all. Honestly, it's so good that I haven't even felt the need to keep searching for another go-to. I've visited with small groups of 3-4 people and also larger groups of 6-10, and the experience has remained consistently great overall. One thing I like about Gangnam Ave is how their pricing works. Instead of the typical lunch vs. dinner menu, they offer Option A or Option B, where some premium meats are excluded from the cheaper option. It's basically the same concept as lunch/dinner pricing, but I appreciate that it isn't tied to the time of day. For reference, they open at 4pm on weekdays and 12pm on weekends, which feels pretty reasonable to me since KBBQ is usually more of a late lunch or dinner type of meal anyway. The variety of meats is one of the main reasons I love coming here. When I do AYCE, I'm going all in -- usually 4-5 rounds -- so I'm not trying to stick with just basic bulgogi. Gangnam Ave offers things you don't always see at other spots like small and large intestines, pork jowl, beef tongue, and spicy baby octopus, and the marinades here for some of the meats are flavorful. I've eaten at other KBBQ spots over the years for different reasons (my sister even worked at Oz for several years), but Gangnam Ave will always have a special place in my stomach. The appetizers are also solid. Their corn cheese is easily my favorite -- instead of a flat dish with watery corn and melted cheese tossed on top, they give you individual foil cups so you can throw it on the grill and melt it perfectly yourself. I'm lactose intolerant and still order it every single time. The steamed egg is always fluffy and never overcooked, and it pairs perfectly with the meats. I also usually order their soondubu; I'm not overly picky about tofu soup, but as long as it isn't watered down, I'm happy -- and theirs always hits the spot. Their drink menu is small but fun, especially if you like soju. They have some mixed soju drinks, and there's a strawberry + Sprite one with a strawberry-infused ice cube called Super Shy that has become my go-to whenever I visit. Sweet, bubbly, and dangerously easy to drink. Now for the meat itself: it comes out raw, of course, so the final result depends on how well your group can grill. If you've got someone in your group who knows what they're doing, you really can't go wrong. Portions are reasonable for the group size, orders usually come out pretty quickly, and they change the grills every round or two. Most tables have one grill for every four people, so larger groups will typically get two grills. Like most KBBQ places, the experience can depend on your server. I've had many different ones over the years -- most are great, a few are just okay -- which probably explains the mixed reviews you'll sometimes see. Personally, it's never been enough to ruin my experience. A quick tip: reservations are highly recommended for groups of four or more, and they'll usually ask ahead of time if there are kids in your party. If I had to nitpick anything, the dipping sauces are pretty simple and not particularly memorable, but nothing is perfect. The restaurant itself is small and dimly lit, but I think that's part of the charm. It feels cozy and homey -- the kind of place where you can sit around the grill with friends and family and just enjoy the moment. I've made a lot of great memories here over the years. Before moving out of state, I used to come here almost every other month with different groups of friends or family. I've included photos from several past visits with this review because they really show how often I've come here over the years. If anything, they're proof of how loyal of a returning customer I've been. ;) no bonuses or perks besides good food lol. After you're done pigging out, you can grab Melona bars or taiyaki ice cream fish sandwiches from the freezer near the front for cheap. Or if you want to extend the night, there's a Baskin-Robbins right next door for dessert. Parking is also pretty easy, and even though the lot gets a little dark at night, the bright lights from Gangnam Ave make it easy to spot. Maybe I'm a little biased because of all the good memories tied to this place, but there's a reason I've been returning for many years -- even before COVID. If you love AYCE KBBQ and want variety, good marinades, and a cozy vibe, Gangnam Ave is absolutely worth checking out.

Oh, and it comes with miso soup? Say less. Full, happy, and back to work in no time. Now let's talk sushi... because they're not playing around here. The other bowl that we had was the Lobster Seafood bowl and this bowl is a little bit bigger and it had a lot of seafood it was like an endless bowl of seafood and veggies. We didn't get spicy on this one and it was really clear broth and it was really comforting and refreshing. Overall a few are looking for a hot pot where you don't have to really engage or cook this is the perfect way to go. The bowl is already preset and decorated and all you have to do is just wait for it to come to a boil and all your food is ready to eat. Each Hot Pot comes with a bowl of rice or vermicelli noodles. Overall I am a fan of the spot and I can't wait to come back and have more hot pot when I am in the area. Also next door is a ice cream creamery where they do Rolled ice cream check that out while you're at it. Thanks for reading and have a yelp-tastic day.

Decided on a couple of appetizers and the lobster hot pot. It was all very tasty. I chose the medium and realized the heat level was more than I expected. I like heat so it was good. Service is good. Water and soup base refills kept coming. I'd definitely be back for more.

Hubs and I got the tantan ramen - great spice with egg, pork, green onion and I think bean sprouts and to start we had two pork belly chashu buns that had arugula and a teriyaki type sauce on it, yum!! Large portions of ramen. Great for sharing! I'd come back here to this location, however I don't like the parking lot, too many rude people.

Automatically taking in the ambience of the restaurant, it felt really clean and has a nice dim light that makes the dining experience feel private. The service was very attentive and they'll do a temperature check on how the food is with you after you receive your meal and they were all genuinely very friendly. 10/10 for the service, no doubt. For food, we ordered their "Fukumi Ramen" and their chicken karaage . Chicken karaage came out first and was freshly fried. The coating was amazingly light and the chicken itself was flavorful. It comes served with a lemon wedge and tiny pieces of salad and the dressing in the salad was delicious! For the Fukumi Ramen bowl itself, the initial taste of the broth was flavorful and the black garlic oil was a nice touch. You'll immediately notice how thickkkk their chasu slices are and I think the free order of extra noodles is a nice plus. However, the thin noodles served with the Fukumi Ramen bowl seemed like a lighter color than I normally see at ramen places and the noodles were overcooked so I feel like it obscured the overall taste of the ramen itself since ramen noodles make up so much of the bite. Even though the extra noodles were free and a nice complimentary addition, I feel like I could tell why because the ramen noodles lacked the quality the rest of the bowl had. The tamago egg was decent and I was surprised because it looked like a plain white boiled egg rather than the traditional brown seasoned egg you get in ramen. Overall, I think Fukumi Ramen can do the job of satisfying a cold rainy day, and I think with their wide variety of ramen options, you'll definitely have to try and find one that might hit for you! Portions are huge here too so it might take a couple visits to try more options!
