The service was immaculate, the restaurant was clean, and I love the KPop they were playing. I haven't gotten to the food! I had a lunch special. Wings (half and half) and fries. It came out hot and fresh!!! For real! It was hot and fresh cooked, y'all! Literally, the commercial chains don't stand a chance, neither does Bonchon. This time, all signs (aka glowing reviews) pointed to Dak Good...and since I've been deep in my Korean food era, I showed up ready for crispy, juicy, life-changing Korean fried chicken. Yesterday I was passing through the area and craving Korean food. I found this place on YELP and decided to give it a try. Not sure what I expected, but this wasn't it exactly. I didn't realize it was a chain of Korean "medium" fast food. It wasn't really fast, but everything is freshly cooked and prepared, served piping hot and delicious! The Bulgogi was absolutely delicious! As good as almost any I have ever had. The Badak (spicy chicken) was extremely tasty! Definitely worth a try and repeat order! Food wise , my only complaint was the kimchi as it tasted like the store bought stuff in a jar. Nothing worth having again. The atmosphere is like a typical chain fast food restaurant, except the tables had unique license plates lightly emblazoned in the dark wood tables, with K-Pop music playing, and another TV showing old NFL clips (a little strange and out of place, but I digress). The cashier (who also brought our food to the table) seemed a bit confused when asking questions about ala carte items or specifics re each dish. Maybe he was new or maybe just unsure. Yummmm! Crispy mixed Korean spicy chicken wings with a side of pickled radish??? Yes please! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the radish was crunchy and pickly the staff was friendly and welcoming too. My only wish is they add the outside chairs back to the side patio instead of in front of the store. read more

Summary: Would go again based on taste and value (specials). Ordered through the QR code outside the window since we wanted to grab the food to go. Ordering online was seamless and easy, with the ability to add special instructions for each item if required. We ordered the lunch special 8 piece half plain, half soy garlic tenders with fries, tteokbokki, and beef bulgolgi bibimbap. The order itself came out in about 10 minutes. Which is quicker than other Korean fried chicken places I been to. The person in the front helping was friendly. The establishment is clean and included kiosks for self ordering. Our order came in a reusable grocery to go bag. I appreciated this as it won't get soggy like brown paper bags, collect a lot of steam like plastic, and is also more versatile in terms of reusable bags! We drove down the street to the mall to enjoy the food. The chicken and fries remained crispy and hot. The tenders were more like chunks; however it was soft, juicy, and had the nice crunch like korean fried chicken normally does. The plain chicken is still salted and perfect for my little who is picky about his "crispy chicken." The soy garlic had perfect amount of sauce without losing crunch. There is a balance of sweet and salty. The tteokbokki spice was not a burn your mouth and want milk. However, if you do not have spice tolerance above Sriracha, it could be spicy for you. I appreciated the generous level of cheese and the rice cakes were soft. There was fish cake and even some ramen in it too! The "broth" itself is very flavorful and not just salty tasting. I definitely would order it again. Only knock is that I wish the portion was as big as the bibimbap. The beef bulgolgi bibimbap was delicious. Super excited to have this place so close to us. Our first time today we decided to go with soy garlic wings, spicy wings, the porkbelly buns, and japchae. We added the kimchi side which was very good. The entrees and starter pork buns were all delicious. The KFC is more Bonchon double fried than something like Vons. Might just be first time/ recency bias but the chicken was arguably better than those listed. This is totally legit and I declare my allegiance to the good chicken! read more

Went to Dak Good Korean BBQ with my mom yesterday and I'm not gonna lie, this place actually lived up to the hype. I've tried a few Korean BBQ spots around Roseville and left kinda underwhelmed, but this one was different. Everything we ordered hit. The bulgogi was solid, but the shrimp shumai... man, that was the star. Super flavorful, juicy, and honestly didn't even need the dipping sauces. My mom got the bibimbap and was happy with it too, so across the board it was a win. The vibe inside has a lot going on, K-pop playing, a little lively, but it actually fits the place and didn't bother me at all. It felt fun, not chaotic. Price-wise, yeah it's a little up there, but for around $20 you're getting legit portions and good quality meat. Didn't feel like I got played. Service was great. We talked with the manager for a bit, really cool dude and you can tell they care about the experience. Only regret is not trying the Korean fried chicken. That's happening next time. Only thing I'd add is a Coke Freestyle machine and it would be a wrap. If you've been disappointed by other KBBQ spots around here, I'd say give this one a shot. I'll definitely be back. read more

I've been waiting since the sign went up a while back for this spot to open. Went in for take out today. We got the soy garlic chicken/spicy chicken half and half mix with wings and drumsticks, kimchi fried rice, kimchi and pickled radish. this place is excellent! we came during soft opening after a long awaited period of just waiting for them to open. The fries are excellent the seasoned ones too. They're crispy and they came out hot and very quickly. The bulgogi bao meat was succulent and the bao itself had very generous stuffing and was tasty. The chicken itself imo is better than some of the wet chickens that vons has - it's excellent, flavorful, the soy seasoning is flavorful but doesn't jeopardize the crispy texture. Delicious!! Dak Good has definitely earned the spot of best Korean fried chicken in Sac. Each piece was perfectly fried and coated with sauce, the chicken was so juicy. We enjoyed both the soy garlic and spicy flavors :) their rabokki was also very good, I usually find that most restaurants make theirs really sweet but it was not the case here!! Yes, it was Dak Good! My go-to place in Roseville was Vons, but the one thing I hated about Vons is they don't coat all the chicken pieces; they just put the fried chicken in the box or tray, then squirt the sauce on top, so not all pieces have sauce on them. Even when I asked them to toss the chicken pieces in a bowl to coat all the pieces, they don't do it. I was surprised at Dak Good when talking to the owner, Ken, that each piece has the sauce brushed on, making sure that it is coated evenly. Good thing they did, because the "small" with mixed 9pc for $14.95 (lunch special is $11.95 for 6pc mixed) was delicious. Every piece was coated evenly with soy garlic; it was sooooo crispy and crunchy. Ken said it should still be crispy for several hours. I took home the leftovers, and about 5 hours later, my wife came home and found my leftovers. She ate it out of the box and said, "This is so crispy and good, where did you get this?" The restaurant is super clean; there are two kiosks to order from. You can also order from the counter, and they are more than happy to answer your questions. I have been eagerly awaiting this place to open. I am a huge fan of Korean places, especially their fried chicken. I am very impressed by the items I got, as well as the pricing and service. The location is clean and the interior is nice and modern. I have received great service all three times I have been there by the young man working up front. The lunch specials 11-3 Mon-Fri are a killer deal and really can't be beat for the quality you get, I recommend the soy garlic sauce for the wings and the buldak entree. This place is a gem. Roseville/Rocklin residents you must give this place a try. I love Korean Fried Chicken and the chicken wing sizes are great! The lunch menu is such a great deal for what you get. Their wings and strips are flavorful and breaded evenly. It's not as extrac crispy as competitors (e.g. Bonchon), but it's a great balance of tenderness, crisp, and meaty. I don't write reviews often, but I noticed that this place was empty the past 2 times I went. I felt compelled to write a review because the value, taste, and portions are so good.
