    Poke Bowl Regular on greens

Always a great bowl at Yummy!! Fresh protein and veggies... I never finish and enjoy it for a snack later !

Large 4 scoop bowl with squid salad, ahi, salmon, and spicy scallops. Crab salad, edamame, seaweed, green onions, ginger, wasabi toppings.

I usually have no desire or appetite for poke, but when I saw Yummy Poke's fresh seafood offerings,I added the restaurant to my Must Try list a week or two ago. I finally tried it today. Pretty good! I ordered a large 4 scoop bowl with ahi, salmon, spicy scallops, and squid salad. I ordered half brown rice and half mixed greens. You could also choose white rice. You can then pick any number of sauces and toppings to your heart's content. Apparently, it tastes fine choosing all the sauces! House, Sweet Unagi, Sriracha Aioli, Wasabi Cream, Ponzu, Sesame Shoyu, and Tamari. The first 3 listed sauces are the most popular. I actually chose the 3 sauces that follow. For the toppings, I was told Avocado, Masago, and Seaweed Salad incur an extra charge. I would have ordered musubi, but I didn't want to wait 20 minutes or hold up the line. Restaurant looks popular enough. Customers were already there and new customers entered during my last 2 visits. Ahi appeared to be the bestseller today. The server also said salmon, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and shrimp are popular. I usually gravitate towards Hamachi or yellowtail, but all the reddish and orangish meats looked more appetizing: salmon, spicy salmon, spicy scallops, ahi, squid salad, shrimp. Other protein choices include spicy tuna, regular scallops, tofu, crab salad, and octopus. I saw my server change gloves between customers. The restaurant's website's Menu page isn't up to date, but the online ordering prices are. The interesting thing I learned from the website menu page is that there is a nearly 4% service charge for paying by credit card, so it is encouraged to pay by cash. $12.75 for a Regular Bowl (3 scoops of protein) $14.75 for a Large Bowl (4 scoops of protein; $15.34 if you use a credit card) Good, quick meal for hot summer days!

Best poke in the area. Welcoming staff, enough room to sit, clean place. Great portions, food tastes fresh and yum, customer service is consistently great! One time I came in around 4pm and they were out of 90% protein except albacore (bummer), other than that I love this place!

It was very good. The fish was fresh and the service was good. They give you a good amount of sauce and is very reasonably priced.

We ordered a variety of dishes so we could try as much as possible, and every single item was a hit. The pan-fried pork buns were perfectly crispy on the outside with a juicy, flavorful filling. The soup dumplings were packed with rich broth, the beef roll was delicious, and the black garlic chashu noodles were incredibly flavorful. Even the garlic green beans, which are usually an afterthought at many restaurants, were some of the best I've had. To top it all off, we finished with the chocolate dumplings and fried brown sugar mochi, and they were the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. As a mom, I also appreciated how family-friendly the restaurant was. We could order from the regular menu or their lunch menu. Most of the ladies and one gentleman chose the regular menu but I liked what the lunch menu offered. Soup does not come with the entrees. It is sold separately. I wanted to try their chicken salad and also ordered soup. I was very disappointed in the amount of chicken in their chicken salad as it was very fine shreds mixed in, probably less than a tablespoon if I had to guess. Mostly lettuce and veggies. The soup was good and our server was attentive. My husband ordered Korean barbequed pork over a large bed of thick noodles. In fact, there were much more noodles than meat which was very disappointing, for the price. This place is very upscale, even giving diners large handled paper bags with their restaurant logo printed on them to take home their leftovers or to-go orders. For the uppity price, I'd rather spend our money on better quality, larger amount of ingredients in dishes and more value for our bucks.

As a Taiwanese person, I was very curious and intrigued by the Indo-Chinese dishes on the menu. The shop was quiet and clean, there was only one other family there during our lunch. So we got seated and placed our order right away. There were several large screen TVs in the dining area playing various shows. One was displaying beautiful sceanaries from the Himalayas and that captured my attention for the longest time. Soon our food came. We ordered the steamed Chicken Momos, the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Naan and they all looked very good. We liked the curry, and the momos were fun to eat. It's a bit different but also very similiar to a Chinese bao. The Momo has much thiner skin and the filling tasted slightly different from a plain meat bao. To me, it feels kinda like a larger version of a soup dumpling without the pool of the broth inside. Needless to say, I found myself studying the momos while stuffing them into my mouth as they were quite delicious and easy to eat. Oveall, we were very glad we gave Everest Chilli Pepper a try as we enjoy the food and would like to try more Indo-Chinese dishes on our next visit.

The location in Loomis is a little off the beaten path (you think you are leaving town), and in a super small strip mall. Step inside and you find a cute little family owned restaurant that will make you wonder "where did I just get transported to?"... A few tables in the front room and a second dining area to the right. It is important to note that you MUST be patient! There is only the owner running the front of house here. She is doing everything. Super friendly, and being as quick as she can to get tables cleared, people seated, orders taken and served. She does all of this with the most wonderful smile and personality. You will immediately fall in love with her. Many of the diners on this particular night already knew her and appeared to have long standing relationships with the family. We came in on a Saturday evening around 5:15pm and the floor was packed. It remained that way until around 6:30pm. I would suggest coming in later in the evening so the 'regulars' can get in and out. Ok, so now on to the food and why the Green Elephant is such a standout. Everything is super fresh, and flavorful with great depth in the sauces. We started with the tea leaf salad, and pork lumpia. Then Panang chicken and spicy garlic pepper pork and an order of rice. We love spicy food, and requested such (she has a spice scale of 1-10). Our mains were a level 7 and that was sufficient to give us good heat without compromising the flavors. She will also bring you a small dish of chili pepper oil if you want even more heat. By the time we were finished, the floor had cleared, so we know now to arrive a little later. But, return we will !!!
