Lemon Grove really needed a nice, organized store that carries a wide variety of affordable and unique household products. I spent at least an hour here browsing through their inventory. They have stationery, kitchen items, home décor, pet supplies, beauty products, snacks, drinks, and everything in between. The handy charts posted throughout the store help you convert the Japanese currency price listed on the labels into American dollars. If there is no price listed, it's $1.75. They even have a self-checkout option to speed along the lines. I can see them doing very well in this location and hope they're here for a long time.

Worth a look. Lots of interesting stuff not found elsewhere. I have only bought candy and stuff for my kitchen. Prices are reasonable.

My daughter was having an eclectic wedding reception & I began seeing- & soon after, collecting- colorful glassware & table decor. Decided to GO GREEN for her party as I was able to find tons of gorgeous & phenomenally priced goodies... got nothing but enthusiastic praise & compliments at the event last week. Spent only a FRACTION of what I'd pay elsewhere, even some shall-remain-nameless thrift stores. Even better, now there's a neighborhood shop where "everybody knows my name" ;p, I can just relax a bit & browse (and cool off!), where Eddie & Marcus warmly greet me as I wander in, Manager Jose' stops to welcome me with a bit of chitchat as he sees me perusing, & my two favorite redheads, Crystal & Zodiac compliment me on my "new" dress or enthusiastically point out some treasure they've just put out that they KNOW I'll love. I really admire Jose' for creating such a warm & welcoming environment, note his (always)respectfulness towards his staff, & kindness toward all his shoppers; very much appreciate the friendly helpfulness of the entire gang. I encourage you to stop by and find a thrift store where you can actually still find "the good stuff" at affordable prices- & I'll see you there!

But when I am near San Diego I do have a thrift store I usually go to. I went yesterday and again didn't find anything. I guess I was Jonesing because this morning I checked an app I write notes in, for stores I mean to visit when nearby. Then looked here in Yelp for stores near where I was at that moment. This store was near me so I drove there, stopped in and looked around. I found an article of clothing that I liked. Only 40% cheaper than the one I ordered on Amazon recently. But when the Amazon one arrived, the color didn't match the color name. White is not grey. It was an Amazon house brand. The one I bought at Salvation Army was a premium brand, a color I was happy with and there was no sales tax. And no wait to get it. An overall win in my book. I saw a couple of other non-clothing things I liked but we're too pricey IMO for the condition or for how much I wanted them. That's ok. Someone else will see them differently. I'll be back again.

I hadn't been, but looked like it would be a good place based on the description and reviews. My aunt loved it, and boasted about her amazing finds! Great pieces and and prices. A few weeks later for Mother's Day, my mom gifted me the cutest bag that she had picked up on that visit with her sister. And she talked about Trish like she was a friend. I had the rest of the day to myself, so decided to go check it out for myself. And oh my goodness, was I thrilled that I did! I found two jackets (one vintage, and the other the cutest designer puffer), a handful of tops (casual and sporty), a romper, earrings and more! The service was outstanding. She was kind, fun, and not pushy at all. I could see why my mom spoke of her so highly. We talked trends and had a few laughs while I shopped and tried things on. Looks Better On Me is the hidden gem I didn't know I was looking for! I'll be back for sure and am telling my vintage and thrift loving friends to get in there... there's something for everyone, you just have to look!

I like that I was able to join the waitlist online and it was quick first thing when they opened. They don't share why they aren't accepting items when selling which would be nice. I figure, when purging and downsizing or just doing early spring cleaning why not make a buck or two or NONE. They have a system where you scan a QR Code which puts you on a waitlist (on average 45-50m wait) and you don't have to wait in line, they will text you when your spot closes in. Majority people seem to do this regularly as they have these reusable thrift bags or they bring in suitcases of clothes - literally in suitcases. A buyer will go thru your clothes and pick and choose based on trend and what they can sell in their store. You then get store credit or chump change. Is it worth the wait, no. Even if you do sell a few items; it's not much. I've tried it twice - first time I came up with some lunch money on some very expensive clothes that still had their price tag. Second time, I came up with ZERO. This tells me I'm outdated or my style isn't that "thrifty" Gen Z look. Whatever I don't sell I just bring to Goodwill for donations and call it a day!

Imported Mafalde con archetto, a lasagna styled ruffled edge pasta. Cut to approximately 1/3 the width of actual lasagna noodles, I'm looking to create something unusual- thank you Falco of Naples, Italy. I also found Bobo's wild berry stuffed oat bites-soft, vegan chewy goodness. The highlight of this trip was the polyester satin pillowcases. Labeled as gentle for skin and hair, great for allergy sufferers and machine washable-YES, all three are true. I only wish I had purchased them before I bought this months allergy meds. So far, the pillowcases appear to be enough. A fun shopping experience if you have the time, but today I removed a star for the unbelievably long wait to get to a cash register-the wait was easily over 20 minutes. Free parking lot. Good prices. Plenty of variety. Clean, well stocked store. Nice customer service people.
