The store sign is as retro as the rest of the strip mall block and has remained a steady place for affordable Japanese imported goods. Compared to other stores in the country, this one is spacious and features an excellent inventory for all to explore. The store layout is simple, but clean, organized, and extremely tidy. Their kitchenware and home goods are my go-to and the office / school supplies are always a hit. Every few weeks the selection of goods changes, so while they have a wide range of products, keep an eye out for seasonal goods like snacks, stuffed animals, and holiday items. From quirky gifts to household items, there really is something for everyone here. Gone are the days where everything was a $1, but most items are priced right around the $1.50 mark and up. I don't know how it's going to look due to the upcoming tariffs, but fingers crossed that the price tag stays relatively the same. Their budget friendly concept means folks will still keep coming, Because parking is in a large shared lot, it's never an issue finding a spot. It may lack the new bells and whistles of its sister location in Cinco Ranch (#2), I'm happy they've managed to expand to offer additional unique options to the Katy-Houston area. When it comes to discount stores, Daiso always has my vote. ____________ (#1) Katy Asiantown. Cinco Ranch. Mason Road. It's the new frontier. (#2) https://www.yelp.com/biz/daiso-katy-5

I am an avid reader and no one can beat their prices if you find a book; which I always do. This location cares for their book section unlike most other Ollie's. Today I bought two hardcover books for $10!!! I will start reading as I wait for my wife. I definitely will be back!!

A "bargain outlet" with 500+ locations across 3 dozen states, they have massive inventory that covers everything from mattresses to children's books. If Costco and Dollar Tree had a baby, it would be named Ollie's. I hate to generalize by saying they have everything, but it's really hard to suggest that they don't. There's appliances, apparel, sporting equipment, toiletries, electronics, office supplies, storage supplies, shoes, sporting gear, pet supplies, home decor, etc. It's really easy to get lost in everything they have. However, calling in might be an issue as their customer service is very spotty at best. The website isn't the most reliable in confirming inventory, so perusing in person is usually ideal. At the end of the day, affordable stuff that doesn't feel cheap even when it is. More importantly, I've scored some impressive deals and almost everything was of good-to-great quality. "Good stuff cheap" happens to be their slogan and is a motto I can certainly live by whenever I shop here. ____________ (#1) aka "missing out" (#2) Most of the country has Dollar Tree. Definitely wants you to have a great shopping experience. We ended up buying a washer, dryer, and fridge. Great pricing for value. Owners- 5/5 Helpful and informative. Asked them for help with the best suggestion for a water softener to care deeply for appliances that are new, and gave a few suggestions and information on the Houston area needs for home care, given we moved from CA. Delivery- 4/5 The positive: Communicative and called ahead of time to let us know they were 30 mins away. What needs improvement: The delivery men mentioned that they were NOT given the correct tools to finish the job of leveling out the panels on the fridge or what was needed for installation of the fridge upon delivery, because they "switched delivery trucks on them". Unfortoley, that leaves us the customer, waiting for them to come back and finish the job they were paid for. It's been a week, and we are still waiting for them to come back and level out the panels on the fridge. This is either the delivery men's lack of preparation before delivery or the owners' lack of structure to ensure delivery has what they need for all to go as needed.

Staff is rude, returning items is a pain in the a**, lines are longer than they should be, and asking if there is another one of the same item is impossible. They have so much stuff that they don't even know where it is placed. Some aisles are very disorganized, some are too narrow for your cart. Bringing a purse is a no-no because even when you bring your own body you're always bumping into someone or their cart or items on the shelf. With those things being said, I'm a lover of decoration at reasonable prices and Home Goods has lots of that. You can keep your room looking boujee while staying on a budget. You have many options when it comes to pillows, nightstands, even dog beds! I saw adorable stuff for kids, like covers and frames, all mermaid and car themed. Totally random, but they also have an interesting snack selection, with goodies from US, but also from other countries. To sum up, I don't like this location but their prices are so good I just can't resist!
