So embarrassing to shop at this TJ Maxx in Katy. The aisles got stuff on them, either merchandise or stocking boxes. Is this how they do business everyday? I was here in a Monday afternoon. I found ladies' panties hung with the men's belts. Non-sales items mixed with clearance items. Ok. Maybe just a simple labor shortage. But by now, the store should had figured out how to deal with the deficiencies. Why do I see other stores in the country don't face the same. I came to buy a pair of slippers. Got what I wanted with an affordable price and left the store before I go nutty. After I left, the rain stopped. The sunset color reflected on the storefront made me to capture the moment. I really wish inside of the store was more attractive as outside.

Messy and disorganized products! Everything is mixed up!!!

I was looking for bath bombs for my oldest who likes the citrus scents so after wandering around the isle I asked a sales associate who said "they are over there, go figure them out"! Some customer service they have and ummm merry Christmas!!!!

This TJ Maxx has a big suitcase and handbag selection, but their Women's clothes aren't that vast in selection. I always manage to find some nice bath and beauty accessories here. Check out their loofah and bath sponges, as well as individually wrapped makeup brushes.

Stock here is kind of limited but much better organized than most of TJMaxx/Marshall's locations. There was a man that was taking pictures of sections of the store, not just like one or two things, while people were shopping and it made us a little weirded out. I found out that he was a general manager because he made a point to let me know how "dangerous" it was for me to sit in one of the chairs I was thinking of buying and then followed me around the furniture floor. Needless to say, I did not get any chairs because nobody likes to browse whilst having a man breath down their neck :| The fitting rooms could use some TLC - There was gum, hair, lipstick smears, and really battered chairs.

The store is jammed with such a large variety of items that I can't find the appropriate category which to label them. The store has something of interest for everyone. It appears to feature small businesses in kiosk size stations of clothes, sauces, jellies, seasonal items, home decorations and the list goes on forever. The store draws you in to explore looking for what you'll find around the corner or next isle. This isn't my typical style of shopping so I can't determine whether the items represent a good value, however, I didn't go into sticker shock at any point.

As for the vendors that are there, I feel like painted tree should do a better job veting who can get a booth. Some of the items looked like they were just from Harwin. If you go down the main middle aisle it's usually the best vendors. Once you go further away from the center the weirder things get. Because it has a bunch of random vendors you can sometimes find a dress at more than one vendor and just check prices and grab the cheapest one. Happened to me today. Vendor right across the aisle had the same dress for $10 cheaper. The dressing rooms are clean and sometimes they have a live band in the back of the store. You can find so many items here and the prices depending on the vendor can be really great! I guess it's kind of like a flea market but for boutiques or vendors. If you come just wear comfy shoes cause you will be walking a lot!!

The store sign is as retro as the rest of the strip mall block and has remained a steady place for affordable Japanese imported goods. Compared to other stores in the country, this one is spacious and features an excellent inventory for all to explore. The store layout is simple, but clean, organized, and extremely tidy. Their kitchenware and home goods are my go-to and the office / school supplies are always a hit. Every few weeks the selection of goods changes, so while they have a wide range of products, keep an eye out for seasonal goods like snacks, stuffed animals, and holiday items. From quirky gifts to household items, there really is something for everyone here. Gone are the days where everything was a $1, but most items are priced right around the $1.50 mark and up. I don't know how it's going to look due to the upcoming tariffs, but fingers crossed that the price tag stays relatively the same. Their budget friendly concept means folks will still keep coming, Because parking is in a large shared lot, it's never an issue finding a spot. It may lack the new bells and whistles of its sister location in Cinco Ranch (#2), I'm happy they've managed to expand to offer additional unique options to the Katy-Houston area. When it comes to discount stores, Daiso always has my vote. ____________ (#1) Katy Asiantown. Cinco Ranch. Mason Road. It's the new frontier. (#2) https://www.yelp.com/biz/daiso-katy-5
