I love this location!!!!!!!!!!! Been a longtime fan of Daiso and I have no complaints; cute things for cheap prices what more can you want!? Came to this location for the first time this past weekend because I have been looking for Rilakkuma blind boxes and I have to say this location has SO MANY! This Daiso has by far the most blind boxes I've seen and also the store is so clean and spacious! There were a lot of empty shelves (hopefully restocking?) but overall, one of the bigger Daiso stores I've seen and have a lot more specialty items than the Fremont location that I usually go to. My husband asked me if I would go with him to this store, which he had heard about from multiple people, including his coworkers. I said, of course, because I love to shop, and we were in the area really as a day trip with no real plans anyway, but I will tell you.. as much as I don't like going aisle by aisle through any other dollar store ... doing that in this store also give me a headache.. it's a cute place. Lots of stuff for little girls, like clay to make butter slime, squishies, squishy like stuff, small eraser puzzles shaped in cakes and other stuff. There's also kits to make your own candy sushi, candy donuts, etc. Just fun and interesting if you haven't been before. P.S. Bring your own bags because it costs 20¢ for each of their paper bags. First day open. Today is their soft opening. Grand opening on September 21-22. Clean, neat and tidy store. Hope they keep it up. They're hiring. Love their stuff, both the practical and whimsical. I bought a bunch of really inexpensive stuff that I could use but only if they were this cheap. Bought two squeegees to dry my car windows and a dust pan on a stick and each was $1.50! I was excited to stop by Daiso during their soft opening. The store is clean, new, bright, and organized. Most of their products start at $1.50 and goes up to $8. I am sure as time goes on, Daiso will stock pricier items especially during the holidays. The prices on their candies and snacks are more expensive than Ranch 99, Safeway, Walmart, Target, etc. If you want to purchase any snacks or drinks; walk a few yards to Ranch 99 and save about $1 per item. Seriously, you'll thank me for this tip. Also, there are no returns or exchanges at Daiso. So, my question is what if their product is defective? Let's be honest; a lot of their items are not the best quality. If you're going to spend up to $8 on a particular item; be sure that you really need or want it. Good Japanese variety and value store in downtown Dublin. Centrally located, clean, prices are decent, aisles are reasonably spaced, staff is nice, and I found a few consumable items I used to enjoy immensely when I lived in Japan. Not sure if all Daisos are created equally, but this one is worth a walkthrough. read more

Everyone is always very friendly and you can find ALOT of cool little random do-dads and useful things at nearly dollar store prices. A must visit for Cooks, Artists, Organizers and Japanese Culture Enthusiasts. Dont forget to grab a snack and drink at check out (canned coffees/teas!). read more

It's a new Daiso!! WOOHOO. Unfortunately, I do not live around the area so, I probably won't ever come here again. Although, on this rare occasion that I was here I came to visit. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was PACKED. walking around everywhere it was hard to just get by. Before walking in actually there was a paper in the front of the door that said they were hiring (for anyone looking for a job!!!). I bought a couple of cheap items such as - 2 dog collars - 2 dog hats - 1 matte lipstick All my purchases were at $1.50. It does state that everything is $1.50 unless other wise stated. There were many things that were more expensive like, a backpack. hmm yea, couldn't remember anything else haha. The lines were long but many of the cash register's were open so it went by quick. Reading some of the bad reviews are confusing to me b/c I had a really good experience here! oh well! read more

A very unique store, which I love. Wish there were more locally especially in Fairfield or Vacaville.

It's okay as a sort of dollar store. Mind you the cheapest items are $1.75 and many items are $5 or more. A big negative is you can't return items as all sales are final. So think carefully before you buy! No impulse purchases! read more

Grand opening the second day officially, the store itself is fairly big and the design or flow of the aisles are good too. It doesn't have the feel like the Milpitas store at least to me for some reason but still good overall. This store has lots of Knick knacks and seemingly all of it around the $1.50 range and upwards to $8-10 from the looks of it. Selections range from holiday day themes and toys, to arts and crafts to kitchenware to snacks. So odds are you'll find something there to buy. To me, it's of coarse a slight step up in terms of quality versus the $1 store. Anyways, the staff at this time all seemed very friendly at least cashier wise. This is clearly not a high end store. It's a great place for little gifts, Knick knacks. I love the toothpaste rollers! I find art supplies, crafty things, little storage containers. The food products are fun. As a lot of the products are made in China there are some recalls due to safety, so it's worth checking online if you're going to get anything cosmetic or consumable first. It's the same thing I do at the dollar store. I have not yet brought my five-year-old here because I know I would not escape without a cart full of stuff that she would want. read more

Even though this Daiso location has been open since September, they have very little inventory inside. They've got a lot of gloves and socks at the moment and quite a substantial amount of snacks and cookware, but it's still small scale compared to the Newark and SF locations. Though their stock is limited, they do have interesting items like double eyelid tape and cocoon balls in their beauty section. Overall, I'm glad we have a Daiso in the neighborhood so I don't have to drive all the way to the Fremont area for it! Hopefully the next time I come home, they'll have more items. read more

I had always gone to the Daiso in Union City- that one being the closest to where I work. But when I found out that this one was opening, boy did I hurry over to see how it would compare. My wife likes this store more than the Union City location, but I don't know. It's empty at some shelves, kind of messy in a lot of areas. But what makes me feel compelled to get things for the kids to snack on and for my students to use in the classroom is the customer service. The whole staff seemed to be more friendly and I felt like they cared more than the UC location. The lady who rung us up was so genuine when she asked "how's your day going?". never felt so special in my life. Well, maybe when my wife and I got married...I left the store feeling refreshed due to that encounter. That will be our little secret here. For years I've enjoyed going to Daiso. Within recent years I found out this store was opening near my place. I was thrilled when I learned this. The store overall is pretty great and I haven't had any problems here. My only thing against the store is that it is so much smaller than other locations; therefore it often time doesn't have the items the bigger Daiso's would have. I've been to this location twice and every time it is so clean and organized! Amazing. The store is also well lit and very spacious to walk around which is a plus considering the pandemic we are in. My only down is product/quality control. This is not the stores fault but one of the items I bought, there was a tear upon opening new from the package. read more

This store is right next to my gym Fitness 19; I was early for my body pump class, so I stopped by the store just looking see what they have since I have not visited it. When I was at the cosmetic area, there was one girl, their employee was standing behind me, at first I thought that she was organizing the shelves behind me, however she was following me around. Then there was an announcement in store like " dear customers, if you suspect any shoplifting actions, please report immediately to our staff.". What kind of customer service is that? If you suspect all customers shop at your store are shoplifters, then might as well close your business. I will never ever shop at this cheap store again. read more

I'm giving 5 Stars for customer service. Sure they were out of the item I came in for, but they made up for it in good customer service. And they let me know when the clay I was looking for would be restocked! All employees were working hard and the store was very clean. Items do seem to sell as fast as they restock so snatch anything you can't live without. 10/10 for the young woman who checked the back for extra clay. 10/10 for the cashier who knew about daiso products! First let me say that the store is always clean and organized. Lot's of staff cleaning up and available to answer questions. The products are amazing and great for little party favors and crafting with the kids. I picked up a few different sizes of chalkboards and their version of chalkboard markers (more like a crayon, WAY easier to work with) to do crafts with my 9 year old. He's asked for more colors of "chalk" and to make more for gifts. At $1.50 each it's a very inexpensive gift that would cost at least 4 times as much at Hobby Lobby or Micheal's. read more

Rude customer service. My kid was hungry and we had some stuff and went to the counter to pay it. I have done this at other stores and it is such a pleasure to see their trust on customers. The lady manager at the store was shockingly rude. I understand if it is their policy to pay first and acknowledged to pay first next time but she kept talking about common sense and made it personal. Who are they to talk about common sense?
