Alright, read this carefully because it will shed a TON of light for you customers.
First, if you are a student looking for a part time job, stay away from this horrible company. The store leader probably only wanted to hire you to fill in small gaps. So what does that mean? At most you will only get 2 days worth of work per week, so 20 hours worth biweekly pay. Heck even some of the original workers working here since the store opened has only few hours because of the dumb way the store leader is handling it.
Now let's get to the good parts.
THIS IS A 1.50 STORE. The workers sound like broken dull records because everybody keeps asking us how much each item is. If only people would read the signs around them. It's in huge print.
Don't come to Daiso expecting us to sell hair dye. Why would you even consider going here to buy a product that could potentially damage your hair? Same for the make up, yeah it's cheap but you're putting it on your face. Head over to The Face Shop across the street if you want treatment for your skin.
If you saw something another store had, buy it. Don't come into our store expecting we will have it too. Chances are that we are sold out or never had it ordered. If you see something you like but don't get it right away, don't come until the next day thinking it will still be there. We run out of stock really quick. Call in if anything but don't come in and make a fit in the store.
The workers are HUMANS with real EMOTIONS. Ok? We deal with rude ass customers that don't know how to say, "excuse me, sorry, or thank you." You think we will maintain a smile when we have somebody screaming into our face? Honestly, all we do is follow store policy and when a customer is dissatisfied, we can't do crap about it.
Why don't we accept 100 bills? We actually don't know. We are just following store policy. It doesn't matter if your total is 99.99, we won't accept it. It probably had something to do with the higher ups not wanting to deal with counterfeit money.
Why is there a 10 dollar minimum for credit and why do we only accept visa and master? Call up headquarters and ask for us because they never told us why either.
Why is there never a manager around? Because greedy Daiso is only focused on opening a bunch of stores and having one manager for 5 stores.
Why is there a no return/exhange policy? Well when you buy sale items at normal stores, it's a final sale right? You get my point here? Electronics are an exception. Anything else that is defective you MUST bring a receipt. You can't return stuff at Target without it either you know.
We close at 9. Workers usually stop letting customers in at 8:55 so the cashiers can check out the remaining customers out. Don't be a prick and run in at 8:59 saying you have a minute left. This isn't Nordstrom where we let people shop more after closing the doors. We have to send a report to the higher ups on sales for the day by a certain time and you're just going to make our life harder. Our store hours are on the window, don't be banging and scaring the cashiers at 9:30. And we hate the excuse of "I just need one thing" because we've let people in and because of that, they take 10 minutes to buy 10 items. Trust issues man. We are mostly all college students so we would like to be home too.
Moral of this? Just be nice. Thanks. read more
