They sell a lot of random stuff including drinks (milk tea), snacks (Asian inspired of course), gardening stuff, utensils and bowls/plates/cups, socks and scarves, hair clip, stationary, make up, and other things that don't seem to belong together hah I buy the bowls here to use and they're great! We like the ceramic bowls for some reason. They have withheld microwave and dishwashing yay! Some of their snacks can be stale so be careful but otherwise, tasty and cheap. read more

Daiso is a discount store that sells Japanese household products for $1.50. Think of it like an Asian 99 cent store that sells useful items for a bargain. You can find an array of things ranging from school supplies, gardening tools, cookware, candy, wrapping paper, and so much more! I like this Daiso location because they have a lot more items than other places. It's BIG and SPACIOUS and I don't have to rub shoulders with other customers because their aisles are wide enough. The only issue with this location is the parking. It's in a plaza on the corner of a very busy Beach & Malvern intersection which also has a 85 bakery, Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong KBBQ restaurant, and H-Mart and parking can get tough, especially on weekends. If you've never been to Daiso before, check it out! You'll spend a good 30 minutes just browsing around and convincing yourself to buy items you never even knew you needed. read more

This place is so cute! I can't believe I hadn't come here before. Especially since it's only a fifteen minute walk from where I live. Anyways, the place is VERY vibrant and clean. There's a plethora of merchandise. Anything from school supplies, candy, or just random little cute things. Everything in the store is $1.50. The checkout lane moves quick and the employees are nice. Prepping for a trip and want to pick up some travel and drugstore basics. It's a Wednesday morning store is completely out of stock in multiple areas - travel containers and bath + office supplies. Employees let me know they just got full shipments and restocked everything night before. Not sure about that yeah hmmmmm okay... I've been to other stores, and as you can see in photos it's not normal. Asked an employee to help me find ziplock bags and they act like it was the worlds greatest inconvenience?! Daiso is one of my favorite places, and this one is definitely the biggest one I've visited, however, they were out of half of the things on my list including zipper baggies (completely out of all sizes), parchment paper, mini stapler, travel perfume bottle, nails, double-sided tape runner, and furikake. I spent just over 20 bucks and got great deals, so I can't really complain. Like most other Daisos, their staff isn't really friendly and they really need to open more registers when the line is halfway across the store. Two thumbs up. read more

Love the fact that there's a Daiso in the Buena Park/Fullerton area! It's situated in the new plaza on the corner of Beach and Malvern. They have the cutest and weirdest stuff! It's like your Asian 99 cents store except everything is $1.50 unless stated otherwise! Daiso is a Japanese dollar store, with most items being $1.50. This is one of the cutest stores I've ever been to. With typical dollar stores, you can tell that you're getting cheap items (both in dollar amount and value). With Daiso items, they're both cheap AND good quality. I was amazed at every aisle. Home goods, cleaning items, craft supplies, notebooks and stationery, school supplies, storage, kitchen tools; every aisle is plentiful and somehow they made a cute version of everything. Visit Daiso if you're remodeling or just moved in to a new house. How can everything be so cheap?! I always wonder how much profit they get from selling all their products for dirt cheap. Their products are not bad for their price, so if it's something I need for travel, like empty containers for my shampoo, conditioner, etc, I just get it from Daiso! One of my favorite Daiso stores to visit. Some are a little too cramped for my liking, but this store has plenty of space and a great selection. One star off because the shopping carts don't have child seats in them. (unless that's changed recently, then shame on me :P) Now that I have an almost 2 year old, a kid friendly cart makes a huge difference. I'm not lugging a big stroller into the dollar store. I needed to pick up some supplies so I decided to go to my favorite store, as I entered the store I noticed there was a guy standing inside at the doorway with his back turned to me I was a bit unsure if I should go in but I stepped in because he didn't seem to be monitoring the doorway and he turned and said whoa whoa and put his hand out to stop me scolding me and made it seem like I was an idiot telling me you can't do that, you have to stand outside and wait, we only allow a certain amount of people in the store due to Covid19! I get it! I have no problem waiting but I told him nicely I totally understand, I have no problem waiting, but do you have to scold me like that (trying to be all rent a cop) he was kinda rude when he should have been monitoring the door rather than have his back turned to the potential customers about to walk in. As for the staff at the customer service they were definitely not as friendly as they used to be. I mean I get it! It's a stressful time right now but get you crap together. This Daiso is so new and clean it practically shines when you're driving down Beach Blvd. I'm so happy they opened a Daiso closer to me! I used to have to drive all the way down to Rowland Heights to go to Daiso. Let me just say that the service at this Daiso is awesome (at least for me it was). I went to their beauty aisle and I saw they had under eye circle pads, which intrigued me. They are similar to facial masks but they are specifically for your under eyes. All of the labeling on it was in Japanese... I took Japanese in high school but unfortunately I did not learn past reciting the number 3. Anyway, I asked an associate if she could translate (she couldn't) but she led me to someone who could. That person told me what the labeling said and I was really thankful for that. Not only did she help me, but I noticed she was helping a lot of people locating items around the store or helping them translate other stuff as well. That kind of quality service is something I haven't experienced in other Daisos. I am sooo impressed by the staff here! The girls working the registers that I encountered were very friendly too and made conversation with me. Like other Daisos, everything is final sale and nonrefundable. Buy wisely. Do you really need that single banana holder? Eh... you can spare $1.50. Go ahead and get it ;) I really love Daiso because of their merchandise. They have everything you could need for $1.50, unless the price is otherwise stated. I bought a small Christmas tree about two feet tall for $3.00, ornaments for $1.50 and a star on top (with small star ornaments) for $1.50. SO cute! This place also has a lot of false lashes I haven't seen at other Daisos. Their snack/chips/candy selection wasn't as big as I'd hope though. Need plates? Bowls? Utensils? Kitchen stuff? Come here. The term spending the whole day is an understatement; I have spent all day, more like two days in a row there, it's so addicting!! They all have so many cute items, from cosmetics, to some clothing accessories (hats, gloves, socks, woman's underwear, etc) hair accessories, school/art supplies, home/domestic stuff, list goes on. But you will find the same stuff from a 99 cent store, it's a little bit more limited than that, however the quality of items is excellent and almost all, (unless marked) for $1.50?? Wowsers!!!! And there are some $1.00 items such as food & some items like lotions or cleansers. Those black back seat gadgets they sell that are good for your back (I don't know what they are called) are wonderful!!! I bought a bunch and gave to my coworkers, since we have crappy office chairs & not fortunate to get new chairs w/better adjustment for our backs, this item Daiso sells works just as fine!! I found out recently about this location, thinking when I saw Buena Park and where it's actually located, it's really not too far from me, it's right on the border of La Mirada and North Buena Park. A tad bit smaller than the other Daiso's, but your never disappointed. Parking is good, for now, they are still building around it, so I can see it will get filled up quickly :( I have gone there quite a few times and seen the stuff they put out flies of the shelves quickly!! Literally!! If you see it, buy it, or you'll regret it. One thing, I've been looking for the chargers for the car, expecting to see them there, to my dismay they were not :( I ended up finding them at a local 99 cent store, but I'd prefer to have bought it here from Daiso. I ended up in the Monterey Park Daiso & saw quite few on stock there. So some Daiso's carry more than others and this one either has it or not, and if they do, if it's a hot item, it goes fast, so be aware of that. This one is closest to me than Rowland Heights & Atlantic Square (Monterey Park), I love it! Best times to go is on the weekdays, as with all Daiso's, it gets packed with people and your in aisles swimming through people, trying to get by or look at items. Really guys? Why have I JUST found out about this place!! I was told about Daiso one evening at a bunco group. Heard good things and decided I HAD to see for myself. It totally lived up to the hype! Walking in its like you are transported to Japan instantly. Super bright and very colorful all at once! Merchandised well, they have back lit shelving which gives you the full Japanese shopping experience. I spent about 45 minutes in this store. Went down every aisle. they have everything you can think of. From clothing to gardening and all that inbetween! And it is all $1.50... unless marked otherwise. But nothing is more than $3. A steal I tell you! The only drawback I could see is its final sale. But really at $1.50 there should be no complaints. I will be returning again and again. I am in love :) read more

I got to this location at 8:45 in hopes to pick up the 3 things I needed before they closed at 9 but the lights were already turned off even though the sign says they close at 9 on weekdays. Disappointing. I'm surprised corporate let's them close 15+ minutes before they're supposed to. :/ If you wanna come before closing, just go an hour before they close.. I have to utilize self restraint when entering Daiso. Everything seems to be something I all of a sudden need now, but didn't before I walked in. I would equate it to a higher end Dollar Store or 99 Cent Only Store. Most items at Daiso are $1.50 and the few exceptions are marked. They have almost everything you could possibly think of from kitchen wares, nail polish, and sewing needles, to book ends, snacks, and school supplies. I always leave with an assorted pack of Hi-Chews (like Asian Starburst) so yummy! There's plenty of parking in the shopping center, although it can be chaotic. Minimum of $10 for credit cards. The best and cheapest place ever! The Collagen/vitamin E facial wipes are only 1.50 and they are way better then the neutrogena wipes I usually buy at target. The pens are only 1.50 and are way better in quality and price I use for work at a hospital. I always buy the purple multi colored pen. I also buy collagen face masks, ramen, chips, and pocky and green tea on the go drinks. I suggest buying Christmas stuff too! Stop by the Daiso here and then later go eat at my favorite Korean BBQ place and try honey me ice cream. It's worth every penny because of the location, price, and quality. read more

If you were wondering if this is one of the most adorable stores you'll ever be in, the answer is yes. During the 30+ minutes I spent in the store, it was packed, but I only saw one other Caucasion the entire time, which (to me) is a sign that you're in the right place for authentic Japanese items and low prices. Yah! I grew up in China, not Japan, so my level of nostalgic browsing wasn't quite as satisfying as it is when I'm surrounded by Chinese things from my childhood, but that is only because I am not familiar with a lot of Japanese treats and traditions. Even without a context for many of the items in the store, I was still fascinated checking everything out and had a similar sense of love for all Asian trinkets. :) This store is pristine and well lit, and such a fun twist on a dollar store (though most things cost $1.50). As with any dollar store, there were a few items, such as single spoons or small bags of candy, that I thought weren't worth $1.50, but over all, $1.50 is a steal for most of the items in the store. They have a huge variety too, and items that you won't easily find elsewhere, particularly since Japanese goods tend to be pricey! I wish they had a larger selection of food products. I also hope they make a better route to the cash register, as the line backed up into a shopping aisle making it impossible to shop that aisle when I was there. No returns are allowed. read more

I loved this daiso because it had so much variety. Most of the store was $1.50 and there were clear signs for those items that cost more than $1.50. They sold a lot of christmas items which was exactly what i was looking for. I really enjoyed their Christmas displays because it gave me ideas on how to decorate my home. This location was not overly crowded so I was able to move within the aisles. Service was good and fast. Looking forward to coming here again when I'm back in LA! read more

My girlfriend and I were going to walk in to look for something after we had gotten drinks at 85 deg bakery across the plaza. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and then told that they don't allow outside drinks and that they could keep it at the register for us while we shopped. And with that we said, "nope!" And turned around and left. I understand that with children, drinks may spill, and that's unfortunate. I also understand that that may be your policy, but you just lost sales. We could've left our drinks at the register, but it was 100 degrees outside, so letting our drinks melt at the register just didn't seem very smart at the time. Cutest little Japanese store around. They have EVERYTHING here. They sell cute office supplies, cute kitchen supplies, cute socks, cute hair accessories, cute makeup, cute but absolutely useless trinkets, cute snacks and drinks, cute stationery, cute undergarments, ughhh cute everything. And everything is $1.50 unless otherwise marked!! I must warn you though...at a place where everything is $1.50 you know the quality is not going to be great. Don't get me wrong though; it's not a waste of your money or anything! The cups and bowls here are totally useable and durable as well as the clothing items. I like to make bento boxes and they have everything you could ever need for that. They sell lunchbox containers, cute toothpicks, laver shape cutters, food tweezers, and sushi rollers. Daiso sells the most random things and I usually spend a good 30 minutes just strolling up and down the aisles looking at everything and wondering what in the world some of the things are, but it's always a fun time.
