i went into this store while i was visiting buena park on an outing with my girlfriend, and an employee named alexandra was incredibly friendly and even went so far as to offer a basket when she noticed our hands full. overall an amazing experience thanks to alexandra's fantastic customer service; however, we did notice that there didn't seem to be any sanitizer in the store which was slightly worrying in the midst of a pandemic. luckily we could buy some but we thought that it might be in the store's best interest to have publicly accessible sanitizer for customers to use. read more

Great place to find some inexpensive Japanese items. The store reminds of a Japanese dollar general. Very nice though.

Best Daiso I've been to. All our favorite varieties of Japanese candy were available, huge variety of office supplies, housewares, decorations, paper items, storage containers/accessories, laundry aides, hair accessories. Most items are unique, well made and some are quite old fashioned - things my great grandma had in her home are there. Quality items at a 1.50 for most items just a few higher end items marked at 3.00 Nice experience overall as far as organization, convenience and service at check out. Today I got the most incredible owl tea cups. Going back up the mountain so filled my little basket with almost 50.00 in great items for the cabin. This is my favorite Daiso in the area. I go mainly for stationery and planner supplies, like washi tape, stickers, pens, etc. Everything is $1.50 unless marked, and they are very good about asking you at the register if you understand that a certain item is more than $1.50 and if you want it. Be aware that the store does not accept returns so make your purchases carefully. It's great fun to walk around and discover products you may never have seen in this country and to try to figure out what they are, since much of the packaging is in Japanese only. It's Daiso, so what's not to love, nearly everything is $1.50, housewares, kitchen goodies, craft supplies, gift wrapping, garden things, yummy snacks. Love this Daiso because while it is still packed full goodies, it has high ceilings and doesn't get as crowded as other locations near by. Compared to the others, it's one of the larger stores, which is why I love it so much~ I tend to always lose track of time from browsing at the hundreds of fun gadgets and gizmos that are here! Love this store,you can find something for anything/everyone.Just worry about the no exchange or refund-what if something doesn't work? When I first heard about this store I was beyond excited to go check it out. All of the pictures I had seen on Yelp made me even more excited. After first discovering the store I didn't actually go to shop there til about a week ago. My friend and i were in there for 2 hours, just completely captivated by everything that was there. They have the weirdest things that you want to buy, all for only $1.50. How amazing is that ?? And all the stuff I actually good quality, not like the 99 cent stores here, they actually had decent merchandise. You can find all types of deals - personal items, dinnerware, kitchenware, storage containers, office supplies, and snacks. I found cute slippers, car care supplies, driving gloves, nail polish, and the BEST tweezers EVER. I even found this Japanese snack that I would usually stock up on when I visit Honolulu. The snack is $1.50 in Daiso compared to almost $5.00 in Honolulu. This is a wonderful place for stocking stuffers because of the costs. Moreover, the quality of the products sold here is comparable to the quality of items sold in regular stores. read more

Oh yes I'm turning Japanese, I really think so... old song. Go here and turn Japanese. Cool, cute items. The bowls and glassware selection is cool. And all the little low priced Japanese style things, mostly made in China, btw- with the bad, entertaining translations to English that are a big selling point. Love reading those words on the packaging. They have other locations, but this one is pretty big. Spend some time shopping and you will be very oh so entertained. They keep reminding you when you ring up that there are no returns or exchanges, final sale only. Except if the item is defective. The register person gave that information up when I asked. I love Daiso! Most items are sold for 1.50 each, and compared to the dollar store, the quality of items are fair (the extra fifty cents makes a difference). As a school-based therapist, I usually come here to find positive reinforcers and fun school supplies for my kiddos. I personally love their creative erasers, pens/markers, stationary, modeling clay, chalk/dry erase markers, and sticky notes! I also love buying sponges here...I know it's crazy, but I will stop by sometimes just for sponges :) They are the perfect size and fit into the palm of my hand for easy manipulation during dish washing. The best part is you get 12 for 1.50. I also like to cut them into smaller pieces to fit into smaller hands during arts and crafts time at school. Daiso also carries delicious Asian snacks and drinks for 1.50. My favorite candy that they carry is individually packaged hi-chews! Yum yum yum! What!!! The cutest!!! I parked in front of this store on a Saturday afternoon when I had to go to some store in this busy ass shopping center (don't let the busy/half hour looking for parking get to you. embrace it, it's a great shopping area). I decided to walk in because I've seen these stores everywhere but have never been in one. The person I was with was against it saying there's nothing good in there. I said your nothing good might be a treasure to me and boy was I right! I went straight to the beauty aisle and grabbed at masks and lotions and freaken charcoal pore strips. Charcoal pore strips!! & driving gloves.... and something I didn't even know existed.... long-sleeved driving gloves! Oh my goodness all the sunblock I'm going to save! & they even have sun visors. That was as far as I went. I was being rushed so I didn't get to browse aisle-by-aisle but from what I saw it's such a cute store with all the, "oh my god I always thought to myself these need to exist and now I see they do!" stuff. Perfect. It's cheap too. Everything's like a buck fifty or 2 dollars. The card machine was down at the moment but thankfully we had cash because I probably would've cried if I had to leave without my long-sleeved driving gloves and charcoal pore strips. :) Oh and they have plenty of the Hello Panda cookies. especially with the chocolate in the middle because that's the one Target never has =| read more

i've always love going to any daiso locations, this happens to be alot bigger compared to the one in Chino hills. but they dont seem to have alot of different styles of piggy banks. but i always find the things to buy that i dont really need, and i even brought my cousins here and they're the type of people who dont buy stuff but they ended up buying a grip lol. im glad i was able to introduce this place to them. read more

I have no problem with Daiso's inventory and the stores. But, wow the service here from the girl cashier was really disappointing. I wish they wore name tags so I could report what kind of absurb customer they have. I was going to wait for the guy cashier and I got a basket with me. I only grabbed two items, so I just figured to put the basket aside. So then this short petite girl says,"Is this yours?" It's empty so I have my items in my hand. I used it, but I didn't need it anymore. And she off-handed said, "This is confusing." What the hell, is confusing? An empty basket? Are you incompetent? And then she turned to me and said, "You could have given it to me." It wasn't a nice statement, it was more like stated a know-it-all way. Dude seriously leave your attitude at your house, you're at work. Or if you're on your period, maybe you should try not to act like you don't care. Then I was waiting for my sister-in-law, holding my items. I texted her, waiting at the front door. Then the same cashier shouts to the guy cashier, passing by me, "Can you make the announcement about the stealing policy, there are some things missing!" Just went to this new Daiso location. Have been to others, but was very disappointed in this new location. My 8-year-old had to use the bathroom. They have a store policy that they don't let customers use their facilities. They took pity on my son and let him use it. When they led him to the bathroom, one of the girls said "Next time go to the bathroom BEFORE you come! Sheesh!" My older daughter was with him, and heard the girls then saying "What the hell?!" about the situation within earshot of my children. I appreciate them for letting my son use the bathroom, but I don't like the way they treated my son! I won't be going back for a while until they know how to treat people, especially young children and the elderly. Next time we won't mention anything about needing to use the restroom - and they may be saying to each other "Clean up on Aisle 5!" instead!! read more

Been going to this Daiso ever since it opened. It is much smaller than the other Daiso I have been to. In the beginning the staff was friendly and had satisfactory customer service. However the past few times going to this location, the staff (especially the short asian girl in the white button down) is sour, makes rude faces (especially to specific customers...), hardly smiles, doesn't greet customers (other locations usually said Welcome in Japanese to greet customers at the door), they do not always say their routine no refunds/returns (other locations repeats this through the intercom as well), does not open store on time and atmosphere feels unwelcomed. Sorry, I will not be a patron at this location nor recommend to others; I rather drive to Daiso in Gardena or Anaheim which has better customer service and larger selection. However, I can find simliar stuff at less or same price at other dollar stores or even Mitsuwa and they have helpful, friendly staff. read more

How inhumane they won't even let you use the restroom, they claim they don't have one which I find hard to believe. Am I lead to believe the staff never goes to the restroom? Are they even human? Makes me wonder,looking at how inhuumane the staff treats it's customers? Don't they know it's the customers who pay their wages? Looking at their store policy it really makes me wonder if they are even human. It means there's no room for error, or making sure the product is right for you or not. It's a buy at your own risk kind of store, the reason why I balk is because it's only 1.50, but it's an item I really can't use because it's ill fitting and now have junk piling up on me. They should rename their store we our hate customers.
