I have gone to this location for years and 95% of the time the staff is rude, careless and clearly do not know how to smile. I see the owner in there nearly every time and she is just as bad. We stopped at Dairy Queen on 8/4/21 late afternoon. Ordered 1 Drumstick Blizzard and 1 Turtle, both size small. Our Blizzard's were mostly vanilla ice cream and were not distinguishable from one another. The drumstick/turtle toppings that were added were barely there because they seemed over blended. No chunks of toppings. Vanilla ice was still good but it's the worst Blizzard we've ever had. Last stop at this DQ. Maybe better training would help! read more

Just paid $6 for a large cup of vanilla ice cream. When what I ordered was a large Georgia mud fudge. Do you see any fudge or brownies or pecans in here??? I see one! I think this is the best Dairy Queen I've ever been in and my life. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the ice cream is fantastic !!! The only thing I don't like about this Dairy Queen is the fact that the drive thru has long lines. I guess that's a good sign because they are busy. The single worst Diary Queen experience. Not only was the cashier rude, but our blizzards appeared to be intentionally poorly made. I got 1 small french silk pie blizzard, 1 small cookie dough blizzard, and a medium cheesecake/"cold fudge" blizzard. We got home and in the light and realized we had next to none of the toppings we requested (there were literally 4 total pieces of cheesecake in my medium blizzard) and they were all mixed in right on top; there was nothing mixed even to the middle of any of the blizzards. This may sound silly or petty but it's NOT that hard to blend it in or add a fair amount of toppings. Huge letdown all-around. Try Baskin Robins or Cold Stone instead. read more

I love this Dairy Queen, it's locally owned and a great place to get an after-dinner treat (or sometimes ice cream for dinner is a nice option). The staff is friendly and fast and their lobby, while small, is clean and always has that "ice cream shop smell". Yum! Their outdoor patio is clean and nice as well. Yes, the parking lot is small and the line can back up out onto Sarnoff, but it's like that at all of the locations, so it doesn't bother me that much. In my opinion this is the best DQ in town. The employees are always friendly and efficient. They are in there working their butts off! We come here often and I usually have a special order blizzard-they have never batted an eye when I order something unusual. They have never made a mistake on any of our orders either. The only drawback is the drive through line. Many times the cars are backed up on Sarnoff. But, it's not that big of a deal...busy is a good sign! read more

I am basing this rating on our most recent visit on 1/26/15. Simply put, it wasn't up to par! We ordered 2 peanut butter bash sundaes and NORMALLY they are sooooooo good. The peanut butter on this visit was thin and almost void of flavor plus there was very little of it. Normally there are nice 'puddles' of rich, thick peanut butter layered in the sundae but not this time. The thin peanut butter goo put on the bottom seemed to be cleverly swirled onto the sides giving the appearance of being abundant, but not so! We were so disappointed because we don't treat ourselves too often and having had this delicious treat may times before, we knew what to expect. We have been going to this DQ for 20+ years and it has always been a very friendly place; it has always rocked! Next time I get that peanut butter craving, it's gonna be Baskin Robbins peanut butter and chocolate! read more

My family has been going to this location for over 30 years but when we went thru the drive thru last week 6/18 around 830pm we were treated very rudely. We ordered a small chocolate peanut butter cup blizzard it had no chocolate or peanut butter chunks and I ordered a chocolate cherry waffle cone blizzard mine tasted like vanilla ice cream I only found one small piece of cherry and there was hardly any chocolate to speak of. When my husband asked for lids for our orders they where just dumped into larger cups and when he asked for lids a second time the heavy set women at the window stated this is how it comes now, No carrier was ever offered. Never in 30 years have we received sub par ice cream and or service from this location. And sadly will be taking our business else where. read more

This is the second time in 2 weeks that I have had issues, so now it's time to speak up. 2 weeks ago I stopped in for a blizzard. I live a mile away. By the time I got home it was soup. Not sure what they put in my order, I think they put hot fudge in it. I asked for double candy, but I think they put in double hot fudge. In a blizzard? It wasn't worth me complaining then, but after tonight..... I'm going to complain now! Tonight I went to pick up a couple dishes of ice cream and a small cone with sprinkles. In addition, I got a small dish of extra peanut butter topping. I was asked to stay at the order window. The young man gave me my cone without the sprinkles. No big deal, and he resolved that issue. I pulled away, and looked in my bag to find my dish of ice cream was missing. but, I couldn't remember if it was a sm or a med, so I pulled up to the pick up window and was ignored at first by the short, grey haired woman. Meanwhile, my cone is melting. Finally she came over and I was telling her I didn't get my dish of ice cream, and she looked at me with bewilderment, which frustrated me. I dug through my purse to get my receipt and couldn't read it, so gave it to her. But, she was taking her good old time...........and meanwhile my cone was melting even more! She said....don't worry, I'll just make you new ones. I didn't need a new sundae, I needed my dish of ice cream, which was a med, after all. She did NOT move with expediency at all. I asked her her name, and she refused to tell me. I tried to tell her to just give me the PB sundae back bc there was nothing wrong with it, but she refused. What a fr. tool!!!!!! No excuse for this. It wasn't busy at all. She was just incompetent!!!!!! Next time I drive over to Golf Links or go to 22nd street. I'm done with the Sarnoff location!!!!! read more

I stopped going to this DQ, despite the fact it is the closest, due to service issues. 3 out of the 5 times I went there, I was cheated out of money, given the wrong size cup, and had different prices rung up for me that what was publicly posted. Of course, each of these 3 times was the same person who did this. Seems there have been absolutely no repercussions for her actions. The first time I had an issue, I paid with a $20.00 and was given wrong change. I counted it there, pointing out the error politely and the employee made a fuss saying I was wrong until I showed the receipt that HAD JUST BEEN PRINTED. Strike # 1. Second time I went, I ordered a large Blizzard. I was given a mysteriously small cup. I questioned this, awfully sure that was not the right size at all. Everyone concurred it was the right size in the DQ, so I decided I was imagining things and paid for a large. Still befuddled and questioning, I later went to the DQ on 22nd and brought in the cup. I asked if that was a large, they looked at me shocked and stated it was a universal small among all DQs, stated there was no way at all it was a large. Thought so. Strike #2. Strike #3 came after ALL the DQs in town were running the same special on a seasonal blizzard. I seen the sign, asked to verify that the exact item I was ordering was indeed under the special price sale spectrum. I was verbally assured it was. When the price was rang up, I was in for a surprise. They added $2 to my order on top of the sales tax. I asked how that was, they said it was the price for what I ordered. I referred to the conversation WE JUST HAD and employee acted like I was crazy and asked if I still wanted to proceed with the purchase. Seriously? $2 more ten seconds later? Then pretended the conversation never happened? No, not acceptable. I will never under any circumstances make future purchases at this DQ location. I will drive the distance and go to the ones at 22nd, Irvington, or Tanque Verde. I have never had any problems at all with any of those locations, always have provided courteous, polite, high levels of customer service, never try to cheat the customer out of money or argue something that was just verified. read more

I've ALWAYS had great service at this Dairy Queen - Paula, the manager, is always polite, friendly, down to earth, and phenomenal to interact with. I started going when I first moved to Tucson in 2012, looking for the Candy Cane Chill blizzard (amazing by the way) around Christmas time. Well, after going a few times, Paula recognized me as the guy who always got that, and knows immediately what I want when I walk in around the holiday season. We stopped at this Dairy Queen as a special treat for my sons and because our usual spot, 22nd St, had a water main break. This one is connected to the same rewards program. I had several coupons because we go to Dairy Queen pretty regularly. Big mistake! From the get go the owner/manager was very curt with us. They keep the reward kiosk behind the counter so I had to repeat my phone number several times so she could input it right. Then she refused to let us use more than one coupon for our party of 5 even though we were going to pay separately and the coupons clearly state one per customer. Our 22nd street location never has an issue with this. I bought the ice cream anyway and made it clear we wouldn't ever be back. She obviously couldn't have cared less and was sure to holler a sarcastic "Have a nice day." as we exited. Don't bother with this location. There are plenty of other Dairy Queens with way friendlier management! read more
