    Blizzards and shakes!

What isn't to love about DQ? Everyone at this location is always SO kind, friendly and happy. They checked the ingredient for me on the starkiss popcicle to make sure I can eat it. Yay!

Blizzard cup, most of the chocolate was stuck on the side of the cup...

We stopped at Dairy Queen on 8/4/21 late afternoon. Ordered 1 Drumstick Blizzard and 1 Turtle, both size small. Our Blizzard's were mostly vanilla ice cream and were not distinguishable from one another. The drumstick/turtle toppings that were added were barely there because they seemed over blended. No chunks of toppings. Vanilla ice was still good but it's the worst Blizzard we've ever had. Last stop at this DQ. Maybe better training would help!

    Building appears structurally secure

VERY DISAPPOINT I order snicker blizzie and got a vanilla ice cream with maybe 2 pieces of snicker chunks in it. If I'm paying 8$ for an ice cream, I at least expect it to have the toppings. If I wanted a vanilla ice cream, I would have gone to McDonald's. Nice lady :) decent building for the part of town it's in.

Very friendly and great customer service staff here! Our order was made fast & accurate. The wait is to be expected, but definitely well worth it. This DQ location has been around for what feels like forever and we Tucsonan's are blessed to have such a wonderful team to provide great service for the community! Our family definitely recommends coming to this Dairy Queen location near Jesse Owen's park!

Just paid $6 for a large cup of vanilla ice cream. When what I ordered was a large Georgia mud fudge. Do you see any fudge or brownies or pecans in here??? I see one! I try really hard to support local, but when you get inconsistent product, it's hard. I think I will try somewhere else for our next treat! The owner did call us and replaced the blizzard. Mine was great, my husbands was like the first one in this review. So again, inconsistent.

So disappointed. Dairy Queen I asked for a mint oreo blizzard HOLD THE PAPER. Bleh. Never coming to this location again.

Very disappointed. Ordered a mint oreo blizzard HOLD THE PAPER. Place wasn't even busy, I interrupted a gossip between two people and they just jammed whatever they had to make me a cheap crappy very paper blizzard. Ultimate fail.

I think this is the best Dairy Queen I've ever been in and my life. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the ice cream is fantastic !!! The only thing I don't like about this Dairy Queen is the fact that the drive thru has long lines. I guess that's a good sign because they are busy. Even though the lines get long sometimes, they get you in and out pretty quick.

Here's the small french silk pie blizzard CLEARLY not mixed throughout.

They cannot get the Blizzard ingredients right. Inconsistent for the 5.75 price of a mini blizzard. Need training.

The flavors are bold, creative, and perfectly balanced, and the quality is immediately obvious from the very first bite. Every scoop tastes thoughtfully crafted, not overly sweet, and incredibly fresh. I don't say this lightly--I formerly owned a frozen yogurt shop, and these flavors are better than even my own creations. That's how good this place is. The texture, the depth of flavor, and the consistency across offerings are exceptional. The Screamery truly deserves awards for what they're doing. If you're even remotely an ice cream lover, this is a non-negotiable stop in Tucson. Highly, highly recommend.

But they scoop glutenous ice cream then put it in the water.... and use that to scoop your gluten free ice cream. You can request a new scoop, but that doesn't really help all the times they already used a glutenous scoop in an ice cream thats gluten free. Easy fix would be to put all gf flavors together, and keep a scoop with them... but they haven't gotten there yet. Most places, you can request fresh scoops from new containers... but here, they want you to call ahead to do that..... and while that might work for most, we usually spur of the moment ice cream people. My family still goes here without me, but I no longer buy large containers to take home. I am not sensitive to cross contamination, but here, I have been getting sick consistently so I just stopped going.

There are many flavor options and even a couple of non-dairy choices. The service is a bit hit-or-miss, and really just depends on the staff there at the time as well as the specific location. Beyond the regular cones and cups they also have some options such as the flight, nachos, and the banana split. They also specific which flavors have gluten. They used to advertise that their dairy came from grass-fed cows, but that stopped a few years ago so I'm guessing that is no longer the case. While that's what caught my attention and actually got me in the door, I've stayed a customer because they do mention that their dairy comes from cows that have not been given antibiotics or hormones. So for those who pay attention to such things, take note! This locations is pretty small but I do like that they have just a couple of outdoor tables with chairs so that I can sit outside when it's nice weather.

The Buffalo wings were cooked just like I like them...extra crispy. I asked for the Buffalo sauce to be on the side. The wings aren't seasoned so the flavor is all in the sauce. Seated by the window made a fun time people watching as we enjoyed the downtown view. This place is more spacious than I anticipated. I'm concerned…read morethat sometimes only one employee, a girl, a 14-year-old girl (!) is working by herself late at night. Safety issue. Apparently the owner doesn't care much about the safety issue nor the illegality of hiring an under aged minor. Store is not dirty, but doesn't give the impression of a 5-star clean store, either. But it is good. Seating capacity is pretty much standard for a BR31, which translates to "not a whole lot". About typical for most ice cream places like Cold Stone. Parking could be better. Limited number of spaces attached to this building. OK, now let's talk ice cream. I like to get pre-packed quarts because it is cheaper than buying it on a cone. Not only that, but you get a deal on two quarts and at some BR31's a deal on four quarts. (But not at this one.) Baskin Robbins puts more cream content in their ice cream than most, that's why it is rich. Their flavors are some of the best. In my opinion, BR31 has the best mint chocolate chip on the planet. As is their peanut butter n' chocolate, pralines and cream, almond mocha fudge, rocky road (sorry Dreyer's!), chocolate fudge, and Baseball Nut. Items on their extended menu like drinks and sundaes are incredible. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
