This dairy queen store is actually a shack but it's giving me a retro vibe feel while visiting Teaneck and I do crave a cookies n cream blizzard . Walk up to ordering window and look at the easy and simple to understand menu with the variety of the cold sweet stuff. First I considered a banana split or a loaded sundae but the calories will make my pants split and not in a banana way . Favorite DQ- Teaneck! I give this DQ 5 stars because the employees are friendly, efficient, makes the best blizzards. They go out of their way to please their customers. This DQ makes great blizzards. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. It's about $6 after taxes for a small here. However, it satisfied my craving for a Blizzard. After having many in Canada, I was very glad to see that they have several locations near where I live. I got the brownie dough one and it definitely did not disappoint. It had a perfect mixture of mix-ins and they were properly distributed throughout the entire cup. These are way better than McFlurries, where the employees don't even mix them. I give this place 4 stars because I took the time to download their app and register for an account, just to be told that this location doesn't accept any coupons at all. Dairy Queen takes up most of the northwest corner and it has a large parking area. Employees are mostly high school kids. Service is sometimes ok and its sometimes lacking. Line management isn't the greatest here. It gets pretty crowded during the summer season at night and the lines sometimes move super slow. I usually go to Dairy Queen when I'm craving a soft serve cone, a milkshake, or a blizzard. Lately I've been mostly craving blizzards. I'm a fan of the Oreo cookie blizzard. I also liked the Reese's pieces blizzard, but recently the Reese's pieces candy has been replaced with the Reese's pieces peanut butter cups. But it was 40 minutes before they're supposed to close claiming they're cleaning their machines. If you're cleaning your machines change your closing time to 11:20pm so no one drives out to get ice cream and gets rejected. Love DQ ice cream but never again. Rather eat somewhere else. The parking lot is massive but the employees are as unprofessional as you can get. I don't mind listening to rap but if the music is interfering with the guest experience, then maybe you need to turn the music down or off during peak hours. Every kid that works here is young, like 16 or 17 young, so don't expect much in regards to service. Just make sure you bring your own seat if you want to eat the ice cream there. I remember being taken to this place when I was a kid. It's still standing, and the staff is pretty friendly. I made the mistake to order the "LARGE" cone... Gees, it was like a quart of ice cream on my cone! Few reasons this place didn't get 5 stars: 1) The parking lot needs to be redone. It also needs lights in the shadow area. We witnessed a car trying to leave the lot, and it drove off the curb causing a little damage to the bottom of it's rear bumper. 2) If you're going to allow people to sit near "The Barn", at least have benches. We were sitting on milk crates. 3) Could you please have some garbage cans with tops that aren't so damn hard to push open?
