Oooo man i needed the steak finger basket and had been craving a banana split. Great evening with great food

It's a delightful experience to have this childhood memory setting around the corner in my neighborhood. Who doesn't enjoy a serving of soft serve ice cream? Many times when I show up for a serving, I noticed that the parking lot is always empty. Maybe I'm not coming at the right time. There's so much competition on this corner for soft ice cream. There's a Wendy's there's a Whataburger, and McDonald's and Sonic down the road. It's hard to compete. With less expectations, the service isn't that great either. Not sure if the help behind the counter needs help. There's no service with a smile. The dining room is also sparse. Maybe with all the new shopping centers growing, so should the service at Dairy Queen?

We came to DQ for blizzards and had a pleasant experience. My MIL has had bad experiences where her blizzard toppings were only in the top third of her blizzard, but this DQ provided perfect blizzards. Shoutout to Joseph for being so friendly!

Here is what I ordered for $12 plus tax for the last time.

I rarely come here since I don't eat much ice cream. But today is the last time I will ever come here. I ordered one small coke, one small fries and two tiny hard shell tacos. Total cost? Over $12.00. The fries were cold and the coke was full of ice. If I knew it was this expensive I would had preferred a regular restaurant. The fast food industry is just not affordable anymore.

BeltBuster with cheese, mustard, pickles, and jalapeños. It was alright at best.

Clean dining area and a friendly staff. The food we ordered, burgers, cheeseburger, steak fingers, were all alright. My cheese wasn't even melted, and I got 4 pickles on my burger. Mrs. Texas got eight, and my son in law got none though he requested pickles. The fries were cold, yuk. So I would say it was a fair experience so three stars is generous.

Fresh and clean!

I appreciate the response, and I understand that you do not maintain a public restroom. But I think…read moreyour response misses the point of my review. This was not someone walking in off the street asking to use your facilities. She was part of a group that had just purchased four servings of ice cream, and she was 8 1/2 months pregnant. You say that "customer safety supersedes all." What potential harm to anyone's safety would have resulted from making a one-time exception and allowing a woman who was 8 1/2 months pregnant to use the restroom? In response to the owners reply: I understand that businesses have rules and regulations to follow. But there is also room in life for judgment, compassion, and basic human decency. If there truly was a legal prohibition that left your staff absolutely no discretion, that is one thing. But simply saying "we're not allowed" does not explain how allowing a heavily pregnant paying customer to use an employee restroom would have endangered her, your staff, or anyone else. The ice cream was good. The staff was otherwise friendly. My criticism remains exactly what it was: when presented with an unusual and very human circumstance, your business chose rigid adherence to a rule over a small act of kindness. I found that disappointing. We ended up going around the corner to Lucy's who behaved in a manner in every way that your business didn't. Very poor form.

If anyone says they're the biggest Jeni's fan in the world, then they're most definitely lying…read morebecause I am THE biggest Jeni's fan in the world. Ever since my sister introduced me to this place back in Houston, I immediately fell in love. I started taking all of my friends to try it, and they ended up falling in love with it too. It's gotten to the point where they want to go more often than I do, and I'm always more than happy to join them. This location was fairly crowded, even more so than the South Congress location, but the staff were still super friendly and welcoming. Despite how busy it was, I never felt rushed or like they were trying to hurry me along. I ordered the Pear Frangipane and Brown Butter Almond Brittle, which is now my new personal favorite. I ordered the Brown Butter Almond Brittle completely on a whim because I didn't want to take too long sampling flavors while ordering, and I'm so glad that my random choice worked out. The rich, buttery flavor combined with the almond brittle was absolutely delicious, and I can already tell this is going to be a regular order for me. Overall, I don't think I'll ever get tired of Jeni's. I've been a fan since I first tried it in Houston, and having multiple locations around Austin has only made it easier for me to get my fix. With so many flavors to try and consistently friendly service, Jeni's will always be one of my favorite ice cream spots.

My favorite ice cream spot! I like that the ice cream doesn't come with nutty or fruity toppings…read more Here, you only have one or two toppings: sprinkles and syrup. I love mixing my scoops, and the first one is always House Coffee. The second scoop is a Brown Butter Brittle Almond. The two together make for the sweetest combination. Also, it's such a pretty place to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Now the line can get long, but it moves very quickly. Plus, it's worth the wait!
