Met this very cute couple at Tawakkul Bites food truck off Old US 20 a few weeks back. It's been a while since we've visited that section of town. I was there on a Friday night. I could not believe the activity over there. What looks like a gravel driveway and a couple of food trucks is a destination for the weekend. We don't usually get out much these days, but I am a big fan of Halal. This seems to be the only Halal food, the side of Austin, which was very exciting. If you haven't tried it, go head over there and give it a try. They gave me a couple of samplings which really turned me in that favor. And if you like spicy food, I say pour on the hot sauce. I double dare you! in San Francisco I always order a combination over rice. They have something very similar and very rich in flavor. When the nights warm up a little bit more, I will spend my time eating over there. They have several picnic tables. it's all lit up and they have board games. It's a real hoot to get out and see Manor crowds in the streets. read more

They have very nice outdoor seating with good lighting and super yummy food, we especially loved the sauce! This place was great! There was no line and we walked right up to the counter to order. Though the food is pricy the amount they give you is definitely sufficient. After ordering they informed us that it will be about a 15-20 min wait as food is cooked FRESH. While we waited they gave us a free sample of their hot chai tea. I am not a tea drinker but my boyfriend is and he loved the tea. Our food came out and was hot and packaged in really nice Tupperware. The food so fresh and I truly enjoyed every bite. I also have left overs for a second meal. The fries were SO good. I was skeptical but the fries were crispy and the toppings were fresh! Both meals we ordered had some spice so be sure to let them know if you're sensitive to spice. I'm am so exited to heat up my left overs tomorrow and will definitely be returning to try more of their menu! read more

I usually wait a few trips to rate a place in Manor. Especially the trucks. But this Mediterranean is just as good,in some instances better, than the Mediterranean I drive an hour round trip into Austin to get. The owner will even hook you up with some chi tea while you wait. And the location is good. You can eat there on the tables on a nice night or you can easily get in and out for take home. I've been 5 or 6 times and haven't been disappointed in any way on any occasion. read more
