Just a quick review about how awesome the customer service was during my visit with my kids and grandkids on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026. Both Chris and Alanis were amazing from attending to our every need while dining in, and afterwards for a quick run through the drive-thru. They were quick to remedy any miscommunications on part and went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Very disappointing experience. I came in around 8:50pm on a Saturday--over an hour before the posted 10pm closing time--and found the doors locked, even though customers were still inside and the sign said the dining room was open. An employee came to the door and tried speaking through the glass, but I couldn't hear her. I politely asked if she could open the door so I could understand, but she continued speaking without opening it. When I said again that I couldn't hear her, she just stared at me. Lobby Hours listed on the front doors say the Lobby is open Saturday & Sunday until 10:00pm, attempted to go inside at 8:50 pm on Saturday and their front doors were locked. There were people still eating food inside. It also took about 15 minutes to get our blizzards, which take like 2 minutes to make. It's hard to run any type of business because people can complain about anything and ruin someone's reputation and hard work simply by having a bad day and writing exaggerated reviews that go well beyond what they experience. It's not a Michelin Star restaurant where you're paying hundreds of dollars and expect perfection, it's a Dairy Queen ! It's run by hard working people that live in Manor who show up and serve thier community with smiles and ice cream. How can anyone be mad ? I know this team works hard to make their customers happy and I've never had a bad experience personally. The place is clean the food comes out hot and everyone is very professional. My kids love Oreo Blizzards from Diary Queen and I especially enjoy dipped cones. The chicken fried steak fingers with a piece of Texas toast and gravy always hit the spot when I go to Dairy Queen. One thing that stands out from other locations is that the owner is not afraid to play worship music, to be honest it's much more welcome than the garbage that could be played in its place. I'm sure there are many different types of people with different beliefs that eat here but in that same respect the owner shouldn't be ashamed of his beliefs and faith and I'm proud he is a good example of having freedom in America to practice his faith own a business of his own and serve his community as he has been. It's a delightful experience to have this childhood memory setting around the corner in my neighborhood. Who doesn't enjoy a serving of soft serve ice cream? Many times when I show up for a serving, I noticed that the parking lot is always empty. Maybe I'm not coming at the right time. There's so much competition on this corner for soft ice cream. There's a Wendy's there's a Whataburger, and McDonald's and Sonic down the road. It's hard to compete. With less expectations, the service isn't that great either. Not sure if the help behind the counter needs help. There's no service with a smile. The dining room is also sparse. I ordered the hamburger kids meal and the chicken tenders kids meal for my girlfriend. After being given my order in the drive-thru, the lady at the window told me "Everything is in the bag." Not going to lie, I found that a bit strange. Anyways, while we were back on the highway, she opened the bag to only find fries and gravy she was hungry too, they forgot the chicken tenders! I went back to get them. This time I went inside, and I had to wait a long time to get the chicken tenders. Got there with no one in front of us and ordered a 6 piece tenders and a burger, along with 2 blizzards, we go to the window and get the blizzards and pay, then we were asked to pull forward to wait for our food, which is reasonable. After about 5 minutes I went back around and asked about the food time and was told once again to pull forward, meanwhile 3 other cars have pulled up and we're now waiting also, after another 4 minutes they came out and gave us the food, but still proceeded to give us the wrong meal. Drive 3 miles to the store to speak to a manager and there's a line around store on drive thru and the doors are all locked... at 8:30... when you close at 10!?!? This Dairy queen does not deserve any stars at all. My ice cream is all melted and they gave my order wrong. The banana split is not even a banana split. They took forever to give us the ice cream. A lot of people left because they were taking for ever. The other day it took 30 minutes for me to get my order out. The manager needs to do better in training these kids with attitudes and making sure the ice cream is not melted and learn how to serve customers.
