Once we were seated, we started with two glasses of water which had an odd aftertaste like unfiltered city water. Have to admit they have a very extensive and varied menu which includes steaks, burgers and health conscience meals, but was surprised they don't serve onion rings. I got the bacon cheeseburger which came with plenty of bacon, but no lettuce or tomato. The fries were nothing special and needed plenty of ketchup to make them interesting which is why I was hoping for onion rings. The wife faired better with her chicken fajitas. She was happy with plenty of sides and lots of guacamole ($3 extra charge). When it's time to settle up, you can run your card on the Ziosk which is on the table where you can donate to Saint Jude's and complete a brief survey. You can join their rewards program which gives you bottomless chips and salsa on every visit and a free dessert on your birthday. The food is good and affordable and the service is quick and efficient. The 10 photos included spell out the rest of the story.

I was still off keto from my vacation, so I was able to try the unhealthful things I'd been wanting to try. I immediately knew I had to get the club sandwich, but I was a little split on which side to get. I was leaning towards onion rings, which the server confirmed as a top pick. My sandwich was just ok. The bread was barely toasted, Since I rarely eat bread, and get it as a treat, disappointing bread can really affect a meal. The fillings were as expected. The onion rings were perfectly light and crispy. I decided to take advantage of the chance to try their desserts too, and so I went with the top recommended coconut cake. It was pretty forgettable. My husband's omelet was as hoped, and they let him sub his carby sides for avocado. We'll still come back, but when I come back on keto, I'll know I'm not missing much on the rest of the menu.

Now it's been many years since I've been home but it's a craving that is always there and hard to fill. Cafe 290 does just that! Great home cooked meals, typical Diner sized portions (very large) and breakfast at any time of the day! Let's be honest, it's never the wrong time for breakfast! It feels like you are sitting in your home kitchen, the staff are very nice, and the atmosphere is typical Texas Diner, and there is nothing wrong with that! Few pictures, and good ole classic cheeseburger! 1lb of meat... good luck, taste great but sheesh, it's hefty, the quesadilla is 10/10 with chicken, idk why it just bangs every time! And the very classic egg omelette! Get the diced potatoes, it's all divine! LASTLY and probably most important! THEY HAVE HOMEMADE CAKE AND PIE by the slice. It's expensive, listen to me here, it's worth the price, massive slices and fresh every day and THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!

The restaurant was spotless, and even the restroom was exceptionally clean, which says a lot about the pride they take in their establishment. The food was absolutely worth every penny. I highly recommend the Badass Bacon and eggs, it was delicious! My daughter ordered the Smoked Turkey on a Pretzel, and she loved every bite. We both took it to go but was happy and impressed with our meals. If you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend giving Phoebe's Diner a try. We can't wait to come back! Everything I've had has been fresh, flavorful, and comes out quickly, making it a great place whether you're in a hurry or just craving a good breakfast. My only real complaint is that they don't offer a pancake combo, which I'd love to see added. The side items can also be a little pricey. Even with those minor drawbacks, the quality of the food and the excellent service keep me coming back. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots in town!

We're so glad we gave it a try! Buns on the Run ATX is among 3-4 other food trucks at its location--it might not be preferable to eat outside with this heat, but know that this spot does have a covered seating area with a good amount of benches to sit in and enjoy your meal. We were greeted by a very nice woman inside who took our order. I went basic this time around and ordered a Cheeseburger with a side of fries. The seasoning on both was perfect and the patty was SOOOO soft and juicy. The buns used were airy and soft as well. Ugh. It was just delicious, I regretted not getting the double patty. Not sure what their sauce includes and I don't want to guess and be super wrong, but it did contribute to the overall taste of the burger. The fries had a seasoning that also gave them great flavor, they were right in the perfect middle between crisp and soft, which I personally like! Skip the fast food and make your way here and enjoy something local and fresh!! Definitely will be back!!

Unfortunately this location is going through its teething troubles. First of all it took way too long to get a server to check with us after sitting down. There were plenty of staff available and in fact I noted about five or six people standing at the end of the kitchen on their phones while the chef was busting his butt to get orders out. I ordered a simple double bacon cheeseburger which, at any other restaurant in the country, means you get a double patty. The burger came out greasy and tiny and with only one patty. I complained to the server who tried to tell me that it was just smashed down. I insisted on getting two patties and she took the plate back to get the requested add. She also added a charge for the patty. This place may someday be worth a visit but they need to get a lot of problems fixed. Very disappointed.
