I was still off keto from my vacation, so I was able to try the unhealthful things I'd been wanting to try. I immediately knew I had to get the club sandwich, but I was a little split on which side to get. I was leaning towards onion rings, which the server confirmed as a top pick. My sandwich was just ok. The bread was barely toasted, Since I rarely eat bread, and get it as a treat, disappointing bread can really affect a meal. The fillings were as expected. The onion rings were perfectly light and crispy. I decided to take advantage of the chance to try their desserts too, and so I went with the top recommended coconut cake. It was pretty forgettable. My husband's omelet was as hoped, and they let him sub his carby sides for avocado. We'll still come back, but when I come back on keto, I'll know I'm not missing much on the rest of the menu.

Now it's been many years since I've been home but it's a craving that is always there and hard to fill. Cafe 290 does just that! Great home cooked meals, typical Diner sized portions (very large) and breakfast at any time of the day! Let's be honest, it's never the wrong time for breakfast! It feels like you are sitting in your home kitchen, the staff are very nice, and the atmosphere is typical Texas Diner, and there is nothing wrong with that! Few pictures, and good ole classic cheeseburger! 1lb of meat... good luck, taste great but sheesh, it's hefty, the quesadilla is 10/10 with chicken, idk why it just bangs every time! And the very classic egg omelette! Get the diced potatoes, it's all divine! LASTLY and probably most important! THEY HAVE HOMEMADE CAKE AND PIE by the slice. It's expensive, listen to me here, it's worth the price, massive slices and fresh every day and THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!

Unfortunately this location is going through its teething troubles. First of all it took way too long to get a server to check with us after sitting down. There were plenty of staff available and in fact I noted about five or six people standing at the end of the kitchen on their phones while the chef was busting his butt to get orders out. I ordered a simple double bacon cheeseburger which, at any other restaurant in the country, means you get a double patty. The burger came out greasy and tiny and with only one patty. I complained to the server who tried to tell me that it was just smashed down. I insisted on getting two patties and she took the plate back to get the requested add. She also added a charge for the patty. This place may someday be worth a visit but they need to get a lot of problems fixed. Very disappointed.

It is a free event today handing out free breakfast food for everyone. Met some official looking staff as well as city officials. Even the Popo showed up for breakfast. Enjoyed seeing them take part in this opening. An important part of a city's growth and getting to meet everyone. It's was crowded and very loud being a festive event. Waffle House has a clean atmosphere. The aromatic smell of coffee and frying food as you come in. It is Manor coming in through those front doors greeting the day. A wonderful sight and experience!

We decided to come here on a Sunday morning and knew it might be crowded so we went online to make…read morea reservation. However, upon arrival it was fairly crowded, but no line. It should be mentioned, that the noise level here is fairly high with all the patrons and children. They do have outdoor seating, including both an inside and outside breakfast bar. The first bar of measurement is the coffee. We were served a dark roast, which is somewhat comparable to what you get at Starbucks, but I'm not a fan of those creamer pods 3*. The good news is that they bring you an endless pot of coffee. We ordered the blueberry lemon cornbread in hopes that it come out first, but they forgot it. When it arrived, it was topped with a lemon custard. I'd recommend skipping the pancake and go with this choice, although it did remind me of that Jiffy cornbread with freeze dried blueberries. We chose the Athlete and the trifecta. Those choices were basically good and some yelpers draw comparisons to Denny's, but we thought it was a little better. For the money, it's worth a return visit. Service was also attentive. You can pay with a QR code on your receipt or visit the checkout station where the tip screen starts at 18%. Some additional points of interest is the fact that you will have to ask for water, I was pleased to see that they do offer real maple syrup for an additional charge, no credit card fee and there is ample parking. They do have a lunch menu and they do offer a good selection cocktails. It also appears every review gets a business owner response. Check out the informative photos.

When we arrived, the place looked spotless and inviting. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict served with a side salad and a refreshing green kale juice. The bread for the Benedict was quite tough, making it hard to cut, and the hollandaise sauce lacked some flavor. Nonetheless, the juice was definitely the highlight of my meal. During our visit, I was wearing a long white skirt when an accident happened--glasses were accidentally dropped next to me, shattering and spilling red liquid onto my skirt in several spots. The server sincerely apologized, and I asked for a Tide pen to try and clean the stains. She said she would check with her manager and come back, but unfortunately, she never returned to our table. Since the spill occurred before our food arrived, they didn't offer to clean my skirt or provide a discount. I tried to wash the stain out before it set, but I was still wearing a wet skirt. Luckily, I had a spare pair of pants in the car--though they didn't match my outfit, I was grateful to have something dry to change into for brunch.
