Blizzard was perfect and staff are friendly. Store is extremely clean. Would return back here for some ice cream!

Absolutely wild experience. It was rush hour, and we ordered three Blizzards. We literally didn't touch anything except tap our card, and somehow it immediately charged an extra $3.20 as a tip?!?!? Like literally excuse me??? Then, when we asked about it, the person working there (who after further research was the manger and has a ton of complaints) flat-out told us the "manager" wasn't there, acted like we were inconveniencing them, and told us to "Move along." The whole interaction gave major gaslighting vibes. If you're automatically adding tips without customers knowingly selecting one, that's not okay. Between the surprise charge and the awful customer service, this place was a complete miss. Do better.kindness goes a long way. read more

Who doesn't love a DQ? Fast friendly service and delicious cool treats. I tried the confetti cake blizzard with confetti cake pieces and confetti frosting. 10/10 read more

This is an excellent Dairy Queen location. I can recommend Sara's Pecan Turtle Cluster with her recommended addition of cookie dough. The picture shows the constructed product. It is a great invention and hopefully will be added to the national Dairy Queen Menu with a sizable creator's fee paid to Sara. read more

Sara was holding it DOWN tonight!! She seemed to be the only employee there on a Friday night of EASTER WEEKEND. Not only was she super efficient in her preparation but she provided service with a smile AND sporting bunny ears! 5 minutes before closing with a line of about 10 people and she didn't bat an eye or falter in her top notch customer service. Walked in after a 5 hours drive and ordered two hotdogs. The service was quick but seemed like the person serving had an attitude/bad day. I wasn't asked if I would like any condiments and was promptly handed just a hotdog and bun. the condiments should be accessible from the counter & not behind it. Another customer came in with their children and helped them even when I asked for condiments before they even came in. When I went up to ask for them it seemed as though asking for condiments was an inconvenience. I understand people have bad days but that was just rude. Seems like some people care more about their image on TikTok rather than their image in person. read more

Yet another place that only seems to resonate with us when on vacation. I've got a DQ that's ten minutes away which I've visited a grand total of zero times in the many years it's been open, yet we came to this place three times in the week we were in the area. Note that this is not a full service store that serves a large menu of hot food along with all of the expected ice cream treats. If I remember, they only offer hot dogs here versus the Morehead City store which offers everything. I referenced the Morehead City store because initially we went to that one and found a huge line along with a filthy looking store which made us make an exit stage left. That led us to come here which was logical as the hotel was right down the road. During all three visits there was no line and the place smelled almost bleachy from how clean it was. Nice. Blizzards all around which as another Yelper mentioned are seemingly safe bets (I refrained from asking about the possibilities of getting a chili dog Blizzard much to the delight of my daughter). The prices are chain store/beach bloated but you really don't have a ton of other ice cream options the way you would at most beaches so you need to love the one your with or go without. If you go: Parking was never an issue as they share a lot with a few businesses in the little strip mall complex, they also sell cakes and Dilly Bars or Dullard Bars (whatever they're called) and have a few tables inside the store. I'm not going higher than three on account of the prices and the lack of variety in the offerings but at the very least they are good for what they are. read more

Make sure you call ahead since their hours are unpredictable with the employment crisis but otherwise, great service! the employee working was very polite and made our treats very quickly. A trip to the beach could never be complete without a visit to Dairy Queen! It's impossible to come to Dairy Queen and not be able to find something you don't like. Blizzards are always a safe call, and I grew up sipping their wonderful vanilla milkshakes. This location is very nice and offers food as well. It wasn't very crowded when we headed there for a post dinner snack and the service was quick. I tried a seasonal Blizzard (the Jurassic Crunch), which was vanilla soft serve mixed with buckeye balls (basically peanut butter Rolos) and a chocolate sauce. It was good, but I'd recommend other blizzards like cookie dough or Heath bar over it! read more

We love Dairy Queen but the service tonight was awful. No one wanted to greet us or ask us what we would like. The guy taking orders wanted to finish his conversations with his coworkers before taking our order. The text messages he was reading on his phone must have been more important to answer than completing our order and didn't give us the receipt. I hope the 20 people behind us received better service than what we got. read more

The lady at this location was so sweet to our family we had a rough night at a local restaurant and stopped here around 9:30 pm with our two kiddos her great attitude and genuine kindness turned our terrible night into a great time for our family! I go to this location a lot I understand new people takes longer but when I get a blizzard it's running like milk I shouldn't get attitude If I ask them to make it over and then they where complete smart a** to me after getting each 3 I ordered acting like they flip it side ways but they didn't and they all where still loose like a really soft milk shake. read more

They were friendly and helpful in deciding what candy we should pick. Nice, clean place...not busy at all today. We were the only ones there. We ordered a blizzard which was yummy. Blizzards are the same at every Dairy Queen, so that didn't make this place stand out. I did ask for some water and the cashier replied that they only had bottled water. It annoys me when you can't just get some fountain water with your ice cream. The Dairy Queen on Arendell Street, not too far away, actually has cups next to drink machine for you to get your own water. So I guess I will go there next time I get a hankering for a Blizzard. Please get rid of tip jar that has two sides; one for women tippers and one for men tippers. It says something about seeing who are the better tippers. Cheap way to beg for tips. I don't like tip jars at places where people are making more than standard server wages. What a farce! read more
