Delicious! Got the seafood combo which consists of fish bites (grouper) and shrimp, with a side. The shrimp and fish are fried but you can request broiled or blackened. Very fresh seafood prepared perfectly in my opinion. You place and pick up your order at walk-up windows; there are a few picnic tables to eat at the restaurant but carry out seems to be most common. The line gets long but it's worth the wait! Enjoyed this meal more than any other seafood we have tried in the area so far. Highly recommended! read more

Easily the best fish I've had in awhile! The Fish Bites were soft and so tasty, and the slaw was fresh and complimented the meal well! The Seafood Combo was great also. This place is such a hidden gem in Atlantic Beach. I got the chicken Caesar wrap with potato salad- both were fantastic. My very picky father got the fish Reuben sandwich and said it was the best fish sandwich he's had in years!! That's a high compliment coming from him! My mom got the hot dog and she enjoyed it- her only complaint was that the bun wasn't soft enough for her liking. We all loved the potato salad. Heart of Atlantic Beach, walk up service for a variety of seafood wraps, sandwiches, and platters. Recently started some evening hours some days. A few beer selections, no wine or spirits. Contemporary Christian music is played. However, to me, the prices are very steep. On the evening we went, the prices for all tacos, sandwiches, and wraps started at 17.95 and platters were upper 20s. That's sit down restaurant range, not walk up take out window. We were on vacation at Atlantic Beach and went to The Shark Shack for lunch. All of their seafood is caught fresh, and you can definitely tell with the taste and quality of their food. I ordered the buffalo shrimp and hush puppies. They gave a ton of food in one order. Had we known that, my husband and I would have shared a meal. I would give this place 5 stars except we felt it was a little pricey for fast food. It was $40 for two of us getting combo meals and two drinks. we thought it was very nice that this restaurant offers highly discounted meals for law enforcement, first responders, and military. They also have a program where you can buy a meal in advance for a service member. They have some chairs set up outside however seating can be limited, especially if you go during prime time lunch rush. Overall I would definitely come back here if we vacation in Atlantic Beach again! read more

A lunch dive bar in the truest sense. Outdoor ordering, a few shaded picnic tables on the periphery, but mostly a long but fast moving line and a clump of people waiting for takeaway. They post their regular menu online they also have daily specials based on what's available - today I got soft shell crabs - and a white board of what they're out of. It's also helpful that they have a "small appetite" menu, whether for kids or seniors or because it's a snack between proper meals. A few extra niceties: for $6 you can donate a meal to a local hero and they'll pass it along. A local resident recommended this place to us for lunch one day and I'm glad we were able to check it out. They have a large menu to choose from - we ordered the "small appetite" fish bites which were so good and a soft shell crab sandwich. We remembered this place from when we were last in AB - 15 years ago! You know why we remembered it? Because it's a cool joint, with cool outside eating, good food, at a great price! Shark Shack is my favorite restaurant on Atlantic Beach! The vibe is incredible with window ordering, entirely outdoor seating, and games for the family around the yard. Everyone is just so happy there. There is however, not much seating, so be prepared to snag a table when you can. Additionally, they play Christian music, are extremely friendly, and allow you to donate a meal to local first responders! I've had some amazing food from Shark Shack and some average food. I would highly recommend their fried shrimp and grilled mahi along with any of the sides or sauces! Between us we got a kids' burger (got rave reviews from said kid), a chicken nugget meal (no complaints from that kid), blackened mahi tacos & fries (delicious - so much mahi! Only complaints are that the fries were not hot and one taco had hardly any lettuce or cheese on it.), and mahi sandwich (hubby says "it was good, not great). All that plus 4 drinks cost me $80. It's a cute walk up place, very beachy, but parking is terrible, and go before you get hungry (it took over 30 minutes to get our food, while many people who ordered after us got their food much more quickly). The Shark Shack's food was much better than it has been in previous years. This was my first visit in 2025, but there was a noticeable improvement in the quality of the food. I've always thought they overcooked their food, but everything we ordered, for 6 people, was cooked perfectly, including oysters, clam strips, grouper bites, French fries, and fried dill pickles. The only other time I ordered the fried dill pickles two years ago they tasted fishy, which meant they were cooked in the same oil as fish were cooked in, but not this time.
