$48 ribeye. Ordered medium rare, came out medium.
    Harry W.

Was told a 45 min wait but the hostess said it would be before that and it was only 30 mins. I would rather be early than over the 45. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was good and the place was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Didn't see the waiter as much as we wanted to but it looked like they were short staffed. It took a while for the dinner to come out but I can understand that with the amount of people there for the Big Rock Blue Marlin event. My only complaint was the steak. I asked for medium rare but got medium. It was seasoned very well. Everyone else's food was great.

I came in here and had the Prime Rib Crostini. Was the best thing I have had here. And everything from the service, drinks to the food was amazing.

We decided to stop in for New Year's Eve and take a chance at 5:00pm for a party of 5. Luckily they were able to accommodate. They sat us and we had a very attentive server, I'm sorry I forgot his name as it was a unique name. He continually made sure that we were well taken care of. We started with cocktails which were delicious. Three of us had a Painkiller and one had a Mich Ultra. The cocktails were a perfect start. I then had six oysters on the half shell since they are in season (any month with an r). The others had the Honey Pecan Shrimp. They said they were delicious. For dinner I had a Shrimp and Scallop Scampi dish. First off the dish was delicious with plenty seafood. From my picky foodie perspective I was expecting a few nice size scallops but there were quite a few of the small Bay Scallops. Also, the description was in a lemon caper sauce which was incorrect as it was a creamy Alfredo sauce with no capers. It was very creamy and cheesy and delicious so despite both of these observations, it was a good choice. The whole dinner would have been perfect with some nice warm fresh bread. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is very nice and can be from casual to upscale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is my understanding that this is another great choice from the restaurant group that owns Red Fish and Table 9. Give this establishment a try if in Morehead City. You won't be disappointed.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing atmosphere, food and service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Beet salad for the win. Lots of fresh seafood, we went with Oysters. Yummy

Food was excellent. The ahi tuna burger was tasty. The aioli had just enough kick to be tasty, very flavorful. The fries were hot and tasty and plentiful.. The shrimp and linguine had lots of shrimp and was tasty as well. The service was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will need to go back for the oysters. Sorry for the blue tint on the pictures. No clue.

Great spot down on the waterfront in Morehead City right across from the marina. The dining areas are really inviting and you can watch oysters being roasted over open flames while sipping ice cold water served in old woodford reserve bottles. The menu is pretty straightforward for what you would expect in a coastal town with lots of traditional options (shrimp tacos, tuna burgers, scampi, etc). The portions are pretty generous but it is a tad on the pricey side with raw oysters clocking in at $3 a piece and kids options ringing in at $12 per entree. I don't mind the premium if the service is commensurate and I will say that the entire staff did a great job. There was a little confusion after we were first seated and had to wait about 7 mins for our server to come over but after that she was on point. Everything was super tasty including the yellowfin tuna which was cooked perfectly and served over a bed of leafy greens with wasabi and sweet soy sauce. It could have used a side of some rice or something else given the $32 price point but it was definitely great. You can get basically the same thing with the tuna burger for $18 and it comes with fries. Overall it was a great meal and would definitely be a place we will visit again.

My partner and I went here for a dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! super friendly and attentive staff who anticipated our every need. They answered all our questions and accommodated our drink preferences. Food was absolutely delicious and we'll be visiting again on our next vacation!

Food was absolutely delicious. Only complaint was the slight grittiness of the shrimp scampi. Everything else was perfect. My waiter was charismatic and quite friendly. I loved the service. The ambiance was decent, but no amazing outdoor seating as the competitor's have. Tables have comfortable seating though. I'd you're looking for good seafood, this is a solid choice. Their specials always hit right.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was great and the service was as well![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The shrimp tempura appetizer was amazing!! After noting to the waiter we had had less than stellar dinners they served a pasta dish with way overcooked shrimp. We sent them back, and the same was served!

This is one of the best in the area. Service is always good...it is a very nice, relaxed and cassier place. Their charbroiled oysters are a DEFINITE must. Everything else we've had here has also been excellent. It is great for date night and also for larger groups too. We come here often, for nicer occasions and also when we have a craving for the oysters.

Husband was so excited to eat! Yummy ribeye and truffle Mac and cheese!

AMAZING - DELICIOUS - FABULOUS STAFF Order the ribeye and the Mac and cheese, so amazing and delicious. Caesar salad was perfect with homemade croutons. We were SO PLEASED! The staff was so quick, friendly and helpful. Definetly visit here if you want a nice, delicious meal in a fun location near the water!

This place is the real deal. You definitely pay a lot. However, the food is absolutely worth the price you pay. This is a restaurant that talks the talk and walks the walk. The wedge salads is beyond comprehension how good it is. The bread is transcendent. I got the dry aged steak and my wife got the wagyu. Both were true to definition fine dining. My wife insisted on the truffle fries as a shareable side and by gosh they were the best fries ever had...that being said...wagyu 5oz is $130. You aren't going wrong here. Great meal, great service, worth the time and $$. It is rare to get a good deal and still spend $$$$ these days. This is the spot.

Floyd's Restaurant Review - (4/5) Floyd's delivers exactly…read morewhat great Southern comfort food should: generous portions, rich flavors, and dishes that are clearly made with care. Unfortunately, several sanitation observations during my visit kept an otherwise excellent meal from earning a higher rating. The dining room was noticeably warm throughout the evening, making it somewhat uncomfortable during the meal. On the positive side, every member of the staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. We also had the opportunity to meet the pastry chef, who was personable and clearly passionate about his work. The meal began with the house rolls, which were outstanding. They were warm, incredibly soft, buttery, and practically melted in your mouth. The Shrimp Napoleon was an excellent appetizer and easily one of the highlights of the evening. The shrimp were well prepared, the flavors were balanced, and the dish had wonderful depth. I'd rate it an 8/10. The deviled eggs had good flavor overall, although the filling leaned heavily toward mustard. The egg whites were somewhat firm and gave the impression they had been prepared well in advance and refrigerated. While enjoyable, they weren't nearly as memorable as the other dishes. The meatloaf was exceptional--without question one of the best I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, and complemented perfectly by a rich, savory gravy. The green beans tasted remarkably fresh and were cooked beautifully. I added a side of cheese grits, which were creamy, cheesy, and absolutely outstanding. Portion sizes throughout the meal were generous and represented excellent value. Dessert finished the evening on a high note. The Key lime pie was outstanding, with a perfectly balanced tartness, smooth filling, and excellent crust. It was one of the best restaurant desserts I've had in quite some time. Where the experience suffered was in several sanitation and food-handling observations. During service, I observed an employee visibly sweating, wiping away perspiration, and then continuing food service. A fly was also discovered in an iced tea, and from my seat I was able to observe that the tea had been poured from a communal pitcher that was being used to refill multiple guests' glasses. One observation was particularly concerning. While seated near the service area, I watched an employee package a guest's leftover meal. During the process, the container slipped, partially opened, and the food fell onto the kitchen floor. Rather than discarding it or replacing the portion, the food was simply picked up, placed back into the container, and boxed as though nothing had happened. As someone who pays close attention to restaurant operations, moments like these raise legitimate concerns about food handling standards and overall sanitation practices. Floyd's has all the ingredients of a destination restaurant. The food is genuinely excellent, the staff is welcoming, and several dishes are worth returning for. However, consistent execution extends beyond the plate. Food safety and sanitation are just as important as flavor, and the observations from this visit make it difficult to award a higher score.

The bartender was busy working and singing in between taking orders as she prepared drinks for customers. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and offered the specials before we placed our order. We love to sample the menu when we travel and the vast menu of tapas gave us the perfect opportunity to try just about everything. They had a smaller wine selection, but there was something for just about everyone. Our waiter was very attentive and offered suggestions on what to try if we were torn between several menu options. The Spanish lamb meatballs, truffle honey pork belly and rosemary beef were the tapas that stood out as the most flavorful and making us each want just one more bite. The Spanish meatballs were glazed with sriracha which caused me to pause before ordering. However, I'm so happy that we gave them a try. They had a bold flavor, but the whipped feta and cilantro were enough to balance the heat. The truffle honey pork belly was sliced differently. We have only had this cut into cubes at other restaurants in the past. The way that they slice the pork belly is so much better. The pork belly was served with cheese grits. We don't even like cheese grits, but could not get enough of these smoked Gouda grits. The rosemary beef with asparagus and mashed potatoes was perfect. The beef was tender, the asparagus cooked to perfection and who doesn't love mashed potatoes. We visit the crystal coast about twice a year and always try a couple of new places. It came highly suggested by the host of the beach house, as well as all the great reviews we saw online. This not a quick sit, eat, and be on your way type of restaurant, it's a long standing, very popular spot, and even getting their early, we still had a about a 45 minute wait. But we were able to get drinks, and take them out to enjoy by the water while we waited for our table. Because of the heat, they even had a cooler by the front door with free bottled water for guests to enjoy while waiting. Once seated, the waitress was very attentive, checking on us regularly, keeping the drinks coming and getting out order entered, and out to us pretty quickly. Not being a big seafood eater, I decided to give their meatloaf a try. It was fantastic, as were the mash potatoes and green beans it was served with. For desert, we got smores, which they brought out a flames, along with graham crackers, Hershey bars, and marshmallows to make them at your table. Overall, a fun experience, tasty food, and great atmosphere. It's a bit on the pricey side, but I'd say that's expected for a quality restaurant in a beach town. It's not tourist trap pricey, but you get what you pay for, which in this case is good quality food, decent portions! I'd go back on another visit, and would recommend to others.

Fried green maters could have been cooked a little longer (still a bit crunchy for my liking), breading on the pork chops didn't stick as well to the meat as it could, mashed potato's were FIRE, and the seafood trio with rice and beans was nice.
