Cocktails ! not the best but ‍
    Kate R.

Went for a girls dinner on saturday night and we shared a few different plate. It was an overall good experience and We were pleased with the food. Cocktails weren't the best though. We shared the peppers and pork belly plates which were both delicious. Got the tuna nachos which were u derwhelming but not bad. Would definelty go again, good for small plates but would probably choose rum cow for this sort of thing. Good atmosphere though.

Been wanting to try this place for awhile. Great menu, good drinks. I had the steak flatbread with melted bleu cheese and spinach. The shrimp and grits also looked great as did many of the menu items. Will return.

I had a really awesome experience at this restaurant. My food was fabulous!! I followed the reviews and was not disappointed. I liked everything except the deep fried veggies. Just too much breading I think. BUT anyway...the drinks were all so unique and delicious. I don't think they had one that didn't look good. We sat at the bar and so I was able to see plenty of cocktails coming out. It wasn't too busy early Friday evening. There was no wait. The staff was incredible. They were very helpful, very friendly, very hospitable. I can not stress enough: go to this restaurant. It is really as good as the reviews say. I'm pretty excited to try it again one day soon.

    Moroccan Curry wings

I had the wonderful opportunity to check out this great new local business last month but somehow forgot to write a review. Overall I really enjoyed the meal and venue but had to take away a star because of an issue with one of the plates and my wife's overall satisfaction with the restaurant. Happy wife = happy life, well my wife was not happy with this place as our date night pick. We arrived somewhat early on a Friday night, I made reservations, and although it was barely 6:00pm the restaurant was very full. We were seated at a small table by the entrance. My wife was not pleased with our seats but there wasn't really anything else available and the majority of the seating is set up for large parties. Service was slow to start which wasn't the best way to begin an experience at a new restaurant. We both ordered craft cocktails and unfortunately I can't remember what mine was but I did enjoy it. My wife thought her drink was too strong... lol which is not something I would complain about but that was her opinion. Like traditional tapas the restaurants, the portions are small and prices are reasonably cheap. We decided to start with the Moroccan Curry wings. When they arrived they were ice cold... the dish itself was piping hot but not the food. It took us a few minutes to wave down a server, ours was nowhere to be found, and he returned the wings to the kitchen. A new order was brought out about ten minutes later and they were warmer but still not hot. I decided against sending them back again and we both scarfed them down despite the unappetizing temp. The flavor was incredible and the meat literally fell off the bone. They were good but would have been great if served properly. For dinner, I ordered the Frites on Fleek and two sliders while my wife got the meat pie. I loved the sliders which were nothing special but done perfectly. The fries were amazing and I am a fry connoisseur. The meat pie although good is not described well on the menu and was not what we expected. My wife was really upset and disappointed. That being said, I thought her entree was delicious. I left a happy camper but my wife was not impressed. I love the unquie style and creative offerings but tapas style is clearly not for everyone. I can't wait to return with a large party to enjoy the comfy seating and hopefully they have worked out the kinks in the kitchen so my chicken wings are hot next time.

    Toast a la french

I love it. The slow cooked fall off the bone Moroccan wings are my favorite. I could eat them everyday. The happy hour $3 $4 $5 menu is perfection. Great way to kick back with friends. Their mixed drinks are a bit high dollar and I didn't care for the 2 or 3 I've tried but maybe my tastes just aren't refined enough, sticking with wine is good enough for me. Service is good, the place seems so small and I don't know why because yosake has the same set up plus a sushi bar and seems more spacious. I don't like that you can smell everything from the kitchen when sitting near it (I know that sounds crazy) but the last time I went I sat right there and I could smell fish, dish washer, burgers it was overwhelming not like "wow its making me hungry" it was too much. Maybe more venting or less holding the door open. My qualms-The snapper I think it's called the captain something was super fishy, the wings are always just above room temp and I love steaming hot food (they come in a mini dutch oven for goodness sakes), the fried chicken slider was a bit dry and boring, the toast a la french would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better served warm instead of a stiff cold but tasty brick. Same for the blueberry pound cake. Those tweaks would get my 5th star.

Ever wanted so many things on a menu but had to choose only one entree? That's why I love tapas: they give you the ability to try all sorts of flavors in small quantities. So when I heard there was a tapas place in downtown Wilmington called Dram and Morsel, I had to go check it out. Turn out this was a great decision! We started with cocktails. (What tapas bar would be a tapas bar without cocktails?) I had the BOM cocktail: tequila, jalapeño, blood orange. Delicious and spicy and STRONG! For food we had the Moroccan chicken wings (spicy but not hot; falling off the bone tender), lobster salad sliders (cool and refreshing with a mild flavor), beef paillard (smoky grilled steak pounded flat), and brussel sprouts (roasted and cheesy with a thick sauce). Favorites were the beef paillard and lobster salad sliders. The Moroccan wings were awesome but they were so tender that even the bones had started falling apart which made them difficult and dangerous to eat. Brussel sprouts were tasty but the cheese sauce made them get a bit soggy. Maybe I'm used to crispy and/or fried brussel sprouts? Still good just different. For dessert I tacked on the bourbon pecan pie. Awesome decision! I've never had a pecan pie that light. It was a unique and delicious experience. The cannel on top, though it looked like ice cream, was whipped cream which perfectly and playfully matched the light weight of the pie. Highly recommended. Our server was fun and engaging, though seemed a little overworked -- she had a lot of tables and teetered on the edge of losing control at one point but recovered and made it a memorable experience. We enjoyed her recommendations and she did a great job. If you're looking for a cool space to relax and enjoy some wine, cocktails, and tapas downtown, this is your spot. Don't miss it!

There is much to like about Dram and Morsel - Imagine a younger, more eclectic 1900 with not-as-good food, no DJ and alot less cougars and polo sporting trust-fund kids from Landfall. You girls can still wear monkees, there just will probably be less of you wearing it. The sign might say Dram and Morsel, (Dram meaning drink and Morsel meaning food,) but there seemed to be more emphasis put on the drink than on the food. Drinks were on the expensive side (to be expected for a place like this) and it felt like much more care and thought went into the execution and planning of them compared to the food menu. The food here is a true tapas concept which I appreciated. Plenty of small plates to fit a variety of tastes with nothing being too expensive or filling. To that end though, nothing really stood out or had that wow factor you might hope for. I can see people coming back for the space to have a party or to kickoff a night out with friends downtown. I can't see too many people coming back because the pirogies were out of the this world or their meat and cheese plate was to die for (they weren't and it wasn't). The food in general was good, not great. Wilmington's newest speakeasy sits on the 3d floor above Huske and Yosake and is surprisingly big, bigger than the pictures seem to show. When you walk in you wonder how a space this big has been up here for so long. They have limited hours, only being open Thurs-Sun. I would imagine that, and being on the 3rd floor with a relatively small sign on the building is why they don't have many yelp reviews. For being right downtown, I don't think many people know they are even open yet. Come for the service, ambiance and drinks; and if you are in the mood give the food a try, you might find something you like.

Amante Picante at Dram + Morsel. Spicy and savory!

I went here for the first time for pre-dinner drinks about a week ago. I had been hearing wonderful things about this new spot in town, and let me just say, it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is very cool and has a lounge type feel. It's very roomy inside, but the bar staff makes it such a welcoming atmosphere. I arrived shortly after my friends and was wanting a beer, but one look at the craft cocktail menu and I couldn't resist one of those delectable finds! I asked our knowledgable bar tender Matt what he recommended, and to my delight he suggested the tequila cocktail I was eyeing. The Amante Picante sounds a little strange, however, it does not disappoint. Tequila mixed with green tabasco, jalapeno, and cucumber create a crisp, clean, and somewhat spicy mix for the palate. Rimmed with what tasted like celery salt, this cocktail tasted like it was made just for my palate. I have not yet tired anything from their small plate menu, but am looking forward to in the future! I think this would be a great spot if you are looking for a tapas style dinner or even a progressive dinner!

ABLT, bacon lettuce tomato & avocado with their spicy mayo
    Lindsay S.

Came here for St. Patty's day for brunch and the food was so good. We got the ABLT, bacon egg & cheese bagel and the corned beef hash. Everyone enjoyed their meal with no complaints about anything. We were seated at the couches which was a little awkward when eating but we made it work. I love the set up of this place, it is so cute. On Sundays they do $3 mimosas & $15 bottle of champagne. Would definitely come back for the ABLT & a bottle of champagne.

Drinks, the bar, and the wait staff were great. The wings and sliders were the worst.
