Great food. Clean restaurant. Friendly service. Tried the Parmesan garlic strips and they were tasty.

Service is Terrible they must have a check box on their application for lazy and don't care people. They hire 100% of those people. Food was so slow my blizzard was water. read more

When I walked in the door their service was very nice. and my food was very good.the ambiance was very chipping I would say very quiet.the food is so good I could come back everyday and eat ima rate this Dairy Queen 5 stars. And the ice cream is so delicious read more

If I could give less than one star I would. We placed a mobile order and waited over 30 minutes for food we didn't even get. Asked one employee on a status and no one answered her. Asked again and they said "we already gave you your order." We had not gotten anything but cups for drinks. Asked again and again the kitchen staff didn't answer. All the employees were walking around like they'd rather be anywhere but there. Asked to be refunded and it took two employees to figure out how to do that. Would not recommend this place at all. read more

I literally just left with my 3 milkshakes, and I'm always extremely satisfied!! Today I was in a sour mood when I came into the door and little dude at the counter said I like your tattoos and I thought that was nice. My friend and I took way too long to decide on 2 PB milkshakes and 1 Carmel shake, he was super cool about it, so I tipped him the rest of my change and he was so shocked! Let's tip great customer service more often!!! Loved his positive vibes, thanks for turning my day around dude!! read more

I work near the Alabaster, AL location so tried many times.. food, staff, frozen goodies always amazing. Super clean restaurant. Great air conditioning (I work outside most days). Drive thru time is great. I recommend them highly read more

Dairy Queen periodically changes up their menu, so offers stated may or may not still be available. I went for dinner so I knew I couldn't get the "5 Buck Lunch," but I noticed it's no longer even available. There are now two $6 Meal Deals available all day which used to be 5 Buck Lunches. I get it; prices increase. Ordered the 3-Pc Chicken $6 Meal for my son. Asked for no ice in drink, and they obliged. Standard sundae included. Note that the sundae is slightly melted. However, I live about 5 minutes away, and it was pretty humid tonight. We love soft serve though so not a problem. Not much to say as this is just a typical fast food meal. Not bad, and certainly not bad even for the recent price change, but it's just average. This location is always busy, a favorite of teenagers. Their drive thru is always fast and courteous. read more

Happiness is Dairy Queen on a warm September Friday night with your girl! This location is a lil' off the beaten path but you can hear I-65 running along beside our outdoor table! Nostalgic to say the least and it taste like all you remember! Some things should just stay the same in this world of chaos! I'm declaring this a win for an old boomer! read more

As far as I know, they are really the only show in town when it comes to dessert with the # of options that they have. This shows by the # of cars you can find in the parking lot or backed up through the drive through any given day at almost any given time. I've actually never been inside this location, so I can't speak to the interior operations. But they do run the drive through pretty efficiently. If you haven't been here before they aren't the cheapest when it comes to sweet treats, but they do have a variety of sizes and a variety of price points. Blizzards are my go to usually, but every once in awhile a vanilla shake hits the spot. Also, they do something different with the vanilla, it has a little hint of something else in it, that I can't place. Blizzards are prepared and turned upside down to show that it isn't melted and is nice and thick. So they do have a form of QC at DQ. All in all this location isn't bad, and like I said I think Pelham is the next closest place that is like this, so it's a nice choice for people traveling through or the folks living in Alabaster. read more

Can't get the orders correct. Last three times over the last month in the drive through, items were wrong or missing. Paying for something you didn't get is just poor service. Training employees to check the order before handing over to the customer should be standard practice. read more

Our Blizzards tonight were awful. Ice cream was almost melted. If they had actually flipped it like they were supposed to it would have all fallen out of the cup. So disappointed. read more

Cedric Mcintosh On Sunday February 26, 2023 @3:05pm, my wife and I visited this store. As we often do on Sundays, and purchased 2 blizzards, and a sundae. I asked the cashier to place a sundae top on both blizzards. The Manager on duty stopped the associate, and she said to me "I tell my employees not to use sundae tops." My reply to her, "the blizzard leaks and the sundae tops are better during the ride." The mgr disagreed and offered a flat top and bag. I disagreed with her bag suggestion. I am a regular customer, and a sundae top has never been denied to me. My reply seemed to incense the mgr. She expressed to me this would be the last time and my request would not be honored during future vists. I'm really surprised that a restaurant whose vision states - "TO BE THE WORLD'S FAVORITE QUICK-SERVICE RESTAURANT" and mission states - "TO CREATE POSITIVE MEMORIES FOR ALL WHO TOUCH DQ" The manager was rude to her employees as well as to me, the customer. Based on the actions of this mgr you are no longer my favorite quick service restaurant, and a negative memory has been created. In the past, store associates would scrape the blizzard top, and force the flat top on. This causes more spillage to cup. In addition, the associates would not wipe cup afterwards. Therefore, to remedy this, I request a sundae top. I have never complained and remained a faithful customer. However, that is no longer the case. I hope additional training is offered to your drive thru staff, and a crucial conversation is had with the manager. I am sure she is a good mgr, and has the potential to be great manager some day. read more

Does anyone eat the actual food at DQ? I don't think I ever have. I come here for the sugary bliss known as Blizzards. On the most recent trip, and they are few and far between, I opted for the chocolate covered strawberry blizzard. It was everything I hoped it would be, and I was dry heaving and hating myself halfway through the medium size. No one needs this much sugar. read more

We travel to and from Indiana from southern Alabama a few times a year. This is a frequent stop for us. This trip was amazing! 3 special order sandwiches, and deserts. Literally everything was correct, which is a rare occurrence in todays world! Will be stopping by again in the future. read more

This location is still a hit or a miss. Came a few weeks ago and asked for extra cookie dough pieces for my m'n'm blizzard and it was on the receipt but no cookie dough in the blizzard. I asked the employee who cashed me out after she handed it to me she went and checked with another employee and said there was cookie dough in it. Nope. If you had said no there's not they forgot and put them on the side it would have been different. But don't lie when a customer is paying extra for it. read more

I am not very bright. I waited 30 minutes for two ice cream cones before leaving. When I told them to just cancel the order, they couldn't find the order and just made a mental note to not fill that order. I would have asked for a refund but with 7 people in line, that would have just taken up more time than I was willing to give. Will definitely not return there. read more

Stopped in for pretzels and a small blizzard. Asked for food to go, but was not bagged up- just came out on a tray. The blizzard took way too long, did not have the extra "stuff" that was ordered and when the girl delivering it turned it upside down to show how thick it was, it started running all over the place. She nonchalantly asked if I wanted her to remake it... we didn't have another 15 minutes to waste so said no. This DQ is in a great location- lots of shopping. There are other food options around as well. Unless you are really jonesing for a DQ ice cream, I would recommend checking out one of those establishments instead when you are in the area. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The food is decent, doesn't take long to get what you ordered but every single time I've gone to get a blizzard they've let them sit for too long to the point to where it's practically melted. read more

I have never experienced such poor service in all my life. The young people working there were too busy chatting and hanging with friends over waiting on customers. Terrible service and never got order. When asked for money back, got attitude. I'll drive to another location before entering your restaurant again. May need to consider giving Presley, the manager, some training in management skills. read more

We went by Dairy Queen last week, and we were certainly disappointed. The staff was friendly and polite, but our blizzards had no candy! I mostly go for the ice cream, and this made me so sad because Steak n shake's milkshakes are practically water, and now the lizards here have no candy! Oh no! I don't care for the food at Dairy Queen because the fries are meh, and the burgers are forgettable and tasteless. This time, the food was just mediocre. I suggest skipping the burger and getting a fries chicken plate -- can't really go wrong there. Food = 2 Service = 4 Atmosphere = 3 Overall experience = 2.5 read more

Sometimes you just need a good ole cheeseburger. Don't know why this place gets a bad rep. I have never had one problem out of here or the staff the 4 years I have eaten here. They have some of the best fast food burgers close by. Yes, their combos are a little pricey but to me worth it. They also offer the 5 dollar box which is a life saver! (Burger or chicken tenders, fries, soda and ice cream) The inside has always been clean plus they have a pretty awesome patio on pleasant days. When I need a burger, I will continue to come here. read more

Don't usually go to this Dairy Queen but we were in the area so we stopped by to grab a cone. A kiddy cone and drink. Not a busy time at all...1 other guest. Guess they forgot about us...took over 10 min and I had to go ask for my cone. They were very apologetic but I think I will avoid this location. read more

I visit here because we live close but never again. 3rd time in a week none of the girls can make good cones. You pay almost $4 and the ice cream doesn't go to the width of the cone. Then got a large cup of vanilla n it wasn't a good amount not to mention by the time they gave it to me each time it was to soft. Will take the drive to another location. read more

After reading the reviews we debated stopping at this Dairy Queen. My husband got a chili foot-long and blizzard. I got pretzel sticks and a mini blizzard. The service was polite and quick and our blizzards were chocked full of candy - the server turned them upside down. The chili dog and pretzel sticks were delicious. We highly recommend Dairy Queen. read more

Ordered an ice cream cake for our son's birthday. Was ready on time, fairly priced, and very friendly and helpful service from the staff.

Always good food and service. Join the Blizzard fan club to get good Blizzard coupons in email.

They never have anything of what they promote. The staff doesn't even who what they have and aren't very friendly

This Dairy Queen has the rudest manager. I had an issue where for some reason the manager charged me an additional $0.25 on a kid's meal. She had no idea why, though it appears it was for the cup. The manager said the kid's meals come plain. If you add anything they charge. So if the $0.25 was not for the cup, I was charged for $0.25 ketchup & mustard! She also charged $0.10 for onions. Not a smart way to do business. Don't nickle and dime the customer then argue about the charges. Just charge a higher price for kid's meals. The really sad part is this was during lunch so I could have ordered the $5 Lunch, gotten more food which I would not have eaten and just ran up their food cost. Very poor customer service. I will not be back. read more
