Strawberry sundae with cheesecake bites and pecans.

This DQ is top notch! Everyone who works here has the best customer service and the food is always hot! Fast and friendly service. The manager and staff keep this place clean and neat. They will hook your sundae up with any toppings you want. Unlike the location out in Manor Texas.

ICE CREAM Its sooooooo good here. Not sure wha that other DQ in P-ville is doing but they need to bottle whatever they are doing here because here its working!. I swing by daily ( I know, dont judge) to get a cone..its on my way home from work, and its hot, and I like em...ok! Anyhoo the customer service is pretty friendly but my only complaint is that when I buy a med or even large, I dont get that much cream..whats up!??? I've ordered the chicken finger basket with fries before and it was hot and fresh. Seems like folks here take pride on their food...I also saw that they pay their folks 12 bucks a hr...better than most places...if folks can actually earn a slightly livable wage then good customer service usually follows. just saying.

Carved into a tree outside the DQ!

This Dairy Queen has the nicest interior I've ever seen in a DQ. It really shows that the business owners take pride in this location. There are cool retro posters of DQ and Orange Julius from the 50s, and a really charming photo and description of "our special DQ fan." The sign reads in part, "he may be the oldest WW II veteran in the country...he says the secret to his long life is whiskey and cigars." I mean, c'mon; is that awesome or what? Speaking of which, our chocolate dipped vanilla cones were delicious, and the employees were friendly. What more could one ask for in a neighborhood DQ?

Here is the email. Not sure why they send it out and don't want to honor it??

This DQ really has gone downhill. Service is good but the atmosphere is a big disappointment.

I am strangely addicted to tracking my macros and so I order the chicken nuggets every time (look up the protein, it's insane!). The woman who took my order was super nice and she yelled at the kitchen staff to drop my nuggets into the fryer. They were super fresh and were delicious with buffalo sauce. P-terry's might not be the cheapest fast food in town any longer but it still serves the same quality every time. This location was clean and, although weirdly dark, it had a good vibe. The parking is tight so be careful!

What you get here are chicken sandwiches that are different than what's primarily available such as: - Chicka Boom Sandwich: a Karaage-style (lightly battered) fried chicken thigh infused overnight in sake, soy, and Japanese herbs and spices, with an assortment of veggies, yuzu (think: lemon) aioli, and yuzu slaw. ($12.99) - Chicken Katsu Sandwich: a Katsu-style (panko bread crumb crusted) chicken breast with goat cheese, yuzu aioli, and apple slaw. ($12.99) The main difference here aside from the variation of the veggies would be the texture. Chicka Boom would be a lot more lighter and softer. Katsu would be crunchier! Can't go wrong with both, but if I had to pick: Chicka Boom is my fav. Plus you get to choose a sauce when you order and you GOT to get the Triple Herb ranch which is made of garden mint, basil, and cilantro - it's TOO GOOD!! The yuzu honey aioli is a good runner up as well, the sweet creamy sauce would be a contrast to the herbal one above. You can also get: - Karaage-Style Popcorn Chicken: similar sentiments to what I said above - good choice if you don't want a sandwich! ($11.99 for the large with no toppings) - Tater Tots: this has a blend of spices and sauces, what's more to say? Just look at the picture. They were a welcome addition to my meal. ($8.99 for "all the way") - Mac Daddy (COMING SOON!): think about the oriental blend of herbs and sauces you've seen throughout the sandwiches now imagine them with creamy, rich delicious mac & cheese. This was addicting! It's not on the menu yet, but stay tuned because it will soon! All in all, you get good food from a chef that has years of culinary experience and she knows the ins and outs of the chicken sandwich industry. I highly suggest you give Chicka Boom a try. They are only available for delivery where you can find them on DoorDash today and other services very soon! They get a 5/5 in my book for being amazing.
