This Dairy Queen is one of my little stop-overs on my journey from Fort Worth to Austin. On days when I feel like a little treat I pull in for a Large Cherry Coke or a small butterfinger blizzard......and somedays I get both. What can I say? I like treats!!! This small restaurant is my treat haven. The staff (very often sweet, more seasoned Texas Ladies) always have ready smiles and are extremely courteous to thirsty wayward travelers. I've never received an order that the staff didn't wish me a "good day" or the traditional southern exit line of "now you come back now". How could you not love this place? This DQ is receiving 3 Stars for Charm and Courteousness....and for making the Best Cherry Cokes on Highway 35E Stop by and let them charm you! Happy Eating Y'all!

I just stopped by DQ and got a taco salad. OMG! It was by far the best one I have ever had. Not one Crumb was left when I got through.

The Hubby and I were on date night continuing our "Eating the Alphabet" around the DFW area (check…read moreus out on YouTube: HowWeDoHWD), and even though it was chilly outside, we couldn't resist stopping by Melt on Magnolia in Fort Worth. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, sunshine-filled space that smelled absolutely divine--fresh, homemade waffle cones baking and filling the room with happiness. The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and even offered samples (yes please!), which made choosing a flavor both fun and deliciously difficult. After a few tastes, I landed on Sweet Cream and Cookie Crush--and wow. The sweet cream was classic and comforting, instantly reminding me of my grandmother's homemade ice cream. The cookie crush brought bold flavor: rich, house-made dark chocolate cookies folded into salty vanilla ice cream. The perfect balance of sweet, salty, and indulgent. Pros: Warm and happy aesthetic, heavenly cone smells, and super friendly staff. Cons: The inside is a bit small with limited seating--but during warmer days, the outdoor patio offers plenty of space to enjoy your scoop. I will absolutely be returning to Melt. It's cozy, nostalgic, and full of flavor--definitely worth the stop, no matter the weather.

We went right away and there was a small line which took ~5mins. Well worth it. I got the peanut butter explosion in a waffle cone. It was good. A quick glance at the photos and near-perfect reviews had me anticipating something sweet! I was pleasantly surprised. For someone who only occasionally eats ice cream, I was delighted by the choices including a non-dairy option. Cookies n'cream was an easy go-to and hard to get wrong. Strawberry lemonade sorbet sounded like the perfect end to my Sunday. I chose both! Oh-emm-gee! It was some of the best I've had in quite some time. Smooth and flavorful, but not overly sweet. Every bite had crumbled cookies. For the sorbet, the balance of flavor was on point and was close to water ice in consistency. Customer service was perfect. The associate was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (offered an insulated bag to prevent melting on my long drive home). She explained that all flavors are made in-house, are limited quantity, and are rotated regularly (sometimes a few times a week). There is another location that is parlor style and serves scoops, cones, etc. This location is carry-out for 6oz and 16oz servings. Hidden in an office park. Clean interior. Friendly staff. Great flavors.
