She and two other patrons stood at the checkout counter waiting for over seven minutes. Despite waving for attention no one even acknowledged them. She finally called and asked for someone to check them out. A young man, full of attitude came over and performed the task. I would suggest they either provide a designated checker for the store or switch to a self-checkout solution. Even if they suffer shrinkage from those who have no scruples and morals, stealing from the self checkout, the loss would certainly be less impactful than the poor reputation earned from the apparent lack of customer service displayed last evening in the store section. I have never managed a retail establishment of this size, but I do know customer service and the lack thereof, primarily at the store counter. I still have it 4 stars, because the young lady at the ice cream counter, despite being understaffed and overwhelmed maintained a smile with every customer interaction.

This is how a burger place should be, Old fashion! I have been coming here since I was a little kid and now as an adult I still take the time to drive from Dallas to Waxahachie (my hometown) for their hamburgers. This isn't your big city gourmet burger serving restaraunt, with the fancy aioli or blue cheese dressing. In fact, don't ask for a side of fries, because it's not on the menu. The burger was just ok the customer service was so bad I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. It's a shame because I enjoyed Oma's for over 30 years. I remember the burger being a little more flavorful. This time it was bland. The large tall girl behind the counter needs an attitude adjustment and by the way thank your customers when they thank you! It's a good thing Pop's is down the block. We will be going there for awhile and recommending it to everyone we know. When ya know better do better! read more
