It was nice that each table had a specific QR code so you could order at your table and the respective restaurant would know to bring the food to your table. Stopped in on Sunday for a little drag queen bingo in the beautiful unseasonably warm weather. I love the dairy block! Such cute shops, food options, drink options and little shops. The outdoor space in the alley where bingo was happening was well spaced out and everything felt safe. We ordered food at the table and were able to see the menu, order and pay all through our phones. We went up to the window for bottomless mimosas and got bracelets for easy refills. Bingo was super fun (as always). It had been some time since I had been down there, the alley has really been dressed up with additional lights, tables, art etc.. since the last time I was there. I imagine its a pretty sweet happy hour setting in warm weather. I'll need to check that out! read more

I kept hearing about this place and wanting to visit, but just couldn't find the right time to do it. When my best friend and I were deciding where to go, it popped into our heads, and thank goodness for that because this is the most wonderful alley in all of Denver. They have seriously done a phenomenal job. It was beautiful, creative, kitschy. Absolutely amazing to make walking through an alley this much fun! From the elegant hanging winter decorations, to the turnable music stations that play the Colorado Symphony, to the larger-than-life art displays, it is a beautiful walk. Between taking your photo under their mirrored ceiling or wandering into one of the many bars, shops, or restaurants conjoined by this walkway, you can not have a bad time here. I have lived in Denver almost 20 years and when I was walking through this alley I kept thinking how if I didn't live here, something like this would have me begging to move here. I moved out of downtown for the suburbs a year ago, and the city has dramatically changed in that year. This is one of the most pleasant, beautiful, and fun changes, and I am so excited to take advantage of it and visit again! read more

I am loving all of the multi-use spaces all over Denver. One of the cooler ones is The Dairy Block and experience both inside and out. We walked through here right before closing, so unfortunately didn't get to try out much besides a super creative, strong ass drink from one of the bars - but that's another review. Outside though is very much a multi-sensory experience, walk under the string lights and by multiple murals along the alley from 18th to 19th street between Wazee and Blake. Make sure you walk along the step-sensitive light blocks, look for the quotes etched out on hidden corners of the ground, and give a quick crank to the old butter barrels on the walls to experience the lights and hear the music. Such a cool space. I cannot wait to come back and try something from one of the equally hip restaurants and bars inside. read more

I'm not sure what I'm reviewing here, but if it's the actual alleyway outside of the Milk Market, then it gets 5 stars from me! The moment you turn down this alley, you feel transported. Downtown may be bustling, crowded and maybe slightly dirty, but the Dairy Block is everything but. They did an absolutely lovely job creating this space and all the little touches -- the milk bottle string lights, murals, quotes along the paved walkway -- make for a really nice experience as you walk down. My only complaint is that you can no longer take alcohol from the Milk Market into the alley and I swear you used to be able to?! read more

I can't wait to come back and do a real review once Dairy Block has more completed places to visit! But for walking through and seeing all of the updates to the alley and the awesome murals along Dairy Block, I can say that I am a fan and I'm really excited to see it complete. The block is lined with fresh flowers, inspirational quotes, light fixtures - all of the things the big cities have. I am so excited that Denver is becoming a part of the new trends. I did visit the Maven Hotel, Kachina, the cute little shops inside the Maven & Poka Lola. The Maven is SO nice and in a perfect spot for any downtown activity. Kachina looks like a very modern Mexican restaurant with a gorgeous patio, hello summertime margaritas! The history behind where the Dairy Block sits is also very cool. It's an interesting complex. The hotel is beautiful, and I enjoy the art in the lobby & halls. They seem to be creating a cool mixed-use space that's a nice addition to the neighborhood. One of the coolest and most versatile places in Denver's LoDo District, a terrific option whether you're there on business, with friends, or on a date. Equidistant from Coors Field and Union Station, this is a huge place that has an incredible amount of options. At least 10 food options, and so varied that it will please any craving or palate. I'm a big fan of the BBQ chicken offering, but also love the poke bowls, fish options, crepes, and pasta. Very cool that you can find a place to sit on your own, hang with friends, or conduct business. There are tables for two, bigger tables, and couches. It's got something for everyone. So first thing is first everyone is wearing a mask and requires you to do the same until you have ordered food and drinks. My experience started off rocky due to staff not being too friendly. We were first timers and really wasn't sure how the place worked until we found a good place to sit and finally got to order. Directions were on the table and we used the scan code to order. After that we really enjoyed our time. My wife went to the bar and ordered wine and a jolly rancher martini. The bartender was awesome and very helpful. The whole joint is a vibe for sure. We sat next to a window and our table were giant letters that spelled "MAR" the "KET" was 6 ft away for another table. I felt safe and comfortable. Now to the food, we ordered from the pizza Italian place. The Cesar salad and the margarita wood fire pizza. Everything was great. The large salad is huge just FYI!! You will be full. I hope you get take the time walk around afterwards and even have another drink outside. We didn't just for time reasons but we plan to come back and try one of the wine bars outside. I ADORED this market on a recent visit to Denver and as a Philadelphian I can say I have a pretty high standard for this type of venue when comparing it against our beloved Reading Terminal. It's got a great variety of dining options as well as bars to choose from making it the perfect option for a gals night doing a thing we lovingly deem "snacktails" - basically a cocktail and snack bar crawl. Due to this, we tried a lot of what the Market has to offer. We had Bao Chicka Bao, Poka Lola, Kachina Cantina, and the Moo Bar as well as the Stranded Pilgrim for a beer. I will review the individual locations separately but the market having all of this under one roof was incredibly convenient. There is a ton of variety and nothing was a disappointment. Layout was great and the service everywhere was really good. I can't recommend this enough on your next trip to Denver. read more

If you're looking for a great meal that's reasonable price, I would consider going else where. I've eaten here twice. The first time I was craving a lobster roll. $28 roll. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. Second time I have $24 lobster pasta. The pasta was made fresh and cooked perfectly. My lobster on the other hand was way over cooked and most of it wasn't editable. My daughter really liked the build your own ramen bowls. The ice cream had interesting flavors including Jalapeño avocado. Overall it's a great concept and I like the trivia night on Sundays! read more

Firstly, parking always sucks downtown- why this is 4 stars. But this place is great- various food options, fairly priced, and things for everyone to do. It is also family friendly with games, food and cool artsy things throughout. For those adults who want to unwind the Poka spot is a great chill environment to catch up with friends if you don't mind good music in the background, I believe on Fridays and Saturdays. For you weekenders- I'd say its also a great place for a staycation! There is a hotel right on the side of the dairy block and walking distance from other local bars and dance halls. When I heard about The Dairy Block, and how it was going to use an alley in downtown Denver, I wanted to check it out, and I finally did. The concept of the Dairy Block is a very good one, where an alley is changed into usable space, instead of just sitting there, exposed to the elements, and whatever else. The stores located along the Dairy Block, have two entrances, which is a good concept. People may enter the stores from the street, or from the alley, or the Dairy Block. This gives a greater "presence" to each store along/in the Dairy Block. The actual Dairy Block alley is lined with square and rectangular gray colored tiles. There are the fun overhead lights, strung across back and forth in the alley, which I would love to see on at night, I bet it's pretty. There is a LARGE milk jug, with milk spilling out of it at one of the entrances, but you need to see this yourself. Different planters full of flowers, and benches to sit and enjoy an ice cream cone, run along each side of the Dairy Block, or alley. It's comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Along one of the sides of the alley, there are plaques with sayings on them, such as: "You are cleverly disguised as a responsible adult." There are also two Musical Churns, one on each end, which I simply loved. I wish I had made a video of each of them. Guess I'll have to do that next time I'm down there. There are (I don't know how many) restaurants located in and along the Dairy Block. The one market area is called the "Milk Market." This is where you can purchase such food items as ice cream, scones, hamburgers, and more. My husband and I enjoyed the Milk Market. Yes, it's loud in there, but we really liked it. Parking, well, parking is along the street (not in the Dairy Block), and walk to the Dairy Block. It was fun to visit the Dairy Block. We will be going back, as we enjoyed the concept, and approve of what the city and developer did with the space. I for one, hope there are more "Dairy Blocks" to come in the Denver area. A friend and I stopped by this newer food court market for Sunday brunch, we were enticed by the new foot court iteration concept, good weather and Yelp info provided, bottomless mimosas. After walking through the Maven Hotel, the activated alleyway and looking at all the options available, it seemed that the bar anchoring the 18th & Wazee corner was the better mimosa option. Bingo was going on, a woman clown on stilts was ambling about and the place was raucous. We were seated at a window-side table. After we were seated we waited...we waited...we waited. The servers, bartenders and manager all seemed in a flurry of wonderment- wondering what to do. After 20 minutes, even attempting to go up to the bar to inquire about service, raucous turned to rock-on elsewhere. No milk, no mimosas, no more! The menu seemed okay, but that was just by observation. The environment was energetic, in contrast to the service. This is a place I would like to recommend to visiting out-of-town people, even to visitors from suburban hinterlands. But it rather seems that Frank Bannano may well have over extended himself and the ability provide even the basic modicum of service. The holiday event was my first experience with the dairy block, and I would say maybe my last, but perhaps it is better when it is not an event. Really underwhelming. For the holiday market, you have to book tickets in advance, but there is no point. You stand in the same line and there was still an hour wait. It was very odd to me that the people working the ticket area were not explaining to people. Person after person approached them asking about reservations. Perhaps signage would help. I do appreciate that they are controlling entry due to COVID, and once in there was plenty of available seats, but there was not really a plan. When you enter, there isn't much there, outside of the normal times. There was a choir(the best part) and drink vendors. But there was maybe 4 small businesses with tables selling items. Then the restaurants in the block were open. With the drinks, people sit down and enjoy the surroundings. But, that doesn't really work when you are on a reservation system. You have a time to come in, but never to leave, so when people show up for their reservation, they tell you they are at capacity. Also, I came to support small businesses, but besides alcohol, there really wasn't a selection there. Looking forward to another trip! read more

You should NEVER treat your customers this way. As my friends and I were entering the establishment to go to Run For The Roses, during my (very sober) bachelor party, a friend of mine moved to avoid running into another patron and accidentally touched a sign on the sidewalk. The general manager happened to be sitting nearby drinking wine and proceeded to yell at us for damaging her property and threw her own sign into the wall and blew up at us. We profusely apologized and offered to pay for any damages, but she gave NO room for conversation. She followed us down in the elevator while threatening us and calling security. We talked with the door manager and the security guard, but they told us that she can refuse service to anyone for any reason. Again, she was clearly drunk and slurring her words, and no amount of apologizing or shaking her hand and humanizing us as people would change her mind. Please avoid this place AT ALL COSTS! This is not how businesses should be run. Go across the street to Pony Up for better quality and cheaper drinks, not to mention a much better time! read more

This is a really cool spot overall. I had a chance to visit the bar located at the corner. They had a great happy hour, decent beer choice and small menu. I believe the assumption with the small menu is that you will wander off to one of the adjacent vendors to get food, should their small menu not suffice. My creamy pasta dish was delicious. Part way through my meal live musicians started playing in the corner. It is so rare to get to hear live music on a weeknight! I will definitely be going back and I am sure once I become more comfortable with the overall concept of the greater space that this will turn to a five star review. read more

I have been to Dairy Block several times and my previous experiences have been good. The pizza and the pasta at Milk Market are delicious, fun cocktails, and its a fun place to bring out of town visitors. This past Saturday May 11 we were delighted to find out that our favorite singer Chris Dismuke was playing in the Dairy Block Alley at 4:30 and the timing was perfect for us to hear his show before heading to the Rockies game at 6:10 that evening. We got some yummy cocktails at Poka Loka Social Club and headed towards the music. But to our dismay there were only 2 benches against the wall near where Chris was playing. There were several other outdoor tables and chairs but the tables were dirty and far away from where he was playing. Also it was pretty chilly that evening and, although we counted 8 gas heaters in the alley, not one of them was on. Another group asked for one or two to be turned on, and I went in and asked someone also. We waited quite awhile and finally someone came but couldn't get any of the ones she tried to work. Same with the next person who tried. There were only about 8 people listening to the show because it was chilly and there was no seating. Many people walked through and stopped to listen, but ended up moving on because of those problems. I finally got someone to clean a couple of the tables and we moved one nearer the music, but no one was able to get any of the heaters working. I hope the management reads this constructive criticism because it could have been a much more comfortable and livlier experience if they would set up a couple of clean tables and chairs near where the musician is playing, and make sure at least some of your heaters are working when its chilly. read more
