a car parked in front of a store

Gas prices are pretty decent here. Definitely good for the area. Store is always nice and clean. You'll find the usual snacks, sodas, etc. inside. They also have some hot food items like hot dogs. Clean restrooms. That's always a plus. Friendly employees. They have a car wash here. Located across the street from First Coast High School, so it gets pretty busy in the afternoons when school lets out. Seems like all the teens wanna come here to hang out.

The place is colorful and clean with great music. We were served by one of the owners, George, who was very friendly and helpful. He proudly described the food and offered a sample of sauces and fried sides. I loved the fried jalapeño chips! Then we met his brother Amar, who, with the passion of a Chef, described how everything is cooked fresh to order and all marinade, breading and sauces are their own recipe. The portions are generous and worth the price. The menu offers many grilled options as well. I had an excellent grilled chicken wrap and fried green beans. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich on a beautiful brioche bun with crinkle fries. Each sandwich included fresh lettuce or coleslaw with pickles and onions and sauce. We tried 5 of their many sauces and I say the "Habango" was our favorite. (Sweet with a little heat) It's so good to have another restaurant option in OceanWay. They are open till 10 PM on weekdays, which makes it great for a tasty fresh meal after a late day at work without having to cook. You really need to bring the Family here to enjoy the food and their friendly service. We will be back again and again.

The Peruvian sub was absolutely brilliant--bold, savory, properly balanced, and packed with flavor. The Jack Del Rio was another winner: fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a combination that worked beautifully from the first bite to the last. The wheat rolls were fresh, sturdy, and didn't collapse under pressure--exactly what a proper sandwich demands. Airport food is often rushed, overpriced, and forgettable. This was none of those things. The service was quick, the order was prepared correctly, and the sandwiches tasted as though someone in the kitchen actually cared. No soggy bread. No sad fillings. No culinary crimes--just two cracking good subs worthy of five stars. Angie's Subs, you nailed it. Gordon would shout, "Finally, some good food!"

I chose this spot because it had a steady flow of people while I was sitting nearby so I figured it had to be good. I ordered the turkey club - the staff was friendly and they were splitting jobs between the various team members. It took maybe 5 min to get my nice and toasty sandwich. It didn't look like much, but wow it was good. The lettuce was fresh, nice little bits of bacon and a nice amount of turkey (and cheese). It was surprisingly tasty and I finished it in about 5 min flat. Pricing was a bit high but that's what you expect for an airport. There are a few spots at tables in the restaurant but it's mostly a to go location. Definitely tasty and if I'm in the area again, I'd stop in!

It has taken me about 10 hours of reaching out to Panera via telephone to this location (they NEVER answer), emails to customer service, calls to customer service, as well as reaching out via social media. Every single individual with whom I interacted seem to have one goal, to keep the money they took for me for food they never delivered when I had specifically requested a refund from the very beginning. So, you may have good luck here, but you may also get taken advantage of by the crooked staff and dishonest leadership of this location. Remember, this location has been pure crap since 2015. Now back to the review where Panera does some kind of weird reverse Jean valjean kind of crap where the company steals the money from a customer who simply is looking for a piece of bread. #crookedcompanies This location is seriously a joke. We stopped visiting Panera altogether due to consistent experiences with quality and product being out of stock at this location in 2015. Fast forward to yesterday when I'm simply trying to obtain 4 bread bowls for dinner at home yesterday evening. I placed the order online, even add some sweet treats and schedule it for pickup. I ask my spouse to pick up the order on his way home from work, which he does. Unfortunately, when I open the bag there are not 4 bread bowls, but 2. And 1 of the 2 isn't even insellable condition. They have not only already cut the boule, But someone literally dug their fingers into it for whatever reason while wrapping it up? Literally, what the frick. Please, could anyone in leadership at Panera reach out to me and let me know why this consistent incompetence has been allowed to continue at this location for well over a decade now? I know you can do better, but for some reason you can't seem to get your heads out of your asses at this location. Of course I expect a refund for the items that I did not receive. I don't appreciate being stolen from which is exactly what this is. I also expect a refund for the food that I was served that someone, or multiple someone's, dug their fingers into. And finally, I would like to know how to place an order for four pieces of bread, and have someone be able to count to four?

We ordered soufflés: 4 cheese for me and spinach and bacon for mom along with a coffee and a Madagascar vanilla latte. We made it to our booth and found it dirty on both the table and seats. Before we I noticed, my mom was cleaning the area. It was one of the areas without a vent. We sat, chatted, and ate. We enjoyed the soufflés, which were flaky and buttery. We talked about making our own. It was a lovely time with her. The latte was rather sweet for mom and the coffee bar was out of hazelnut, honey and had a few spills. I let an employee know about the hazelnut and honey and by the time I refilled my cup, all was replenished and wiped down. I made sure to wipe down the booth before leaving... I hope they bring back the spinach, artichoke and cheese soufflé...it was my fave!

We went looking for a casual place to grab dinner--and what a find! We split the whole fried flounder and a half-pound of hot steamed shrimp, and both were fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely top notch. The atmosphere is low-key and casual, which made the experience even better. Sometimes the best meals are the ones you stumble upon when you're not really looking--and this was definitely one of those! We'll definitely remember this place the next time we're in the area.

New Berlin Fish House is actually one of my favorite seafood restaurants. I've eaten here quite a few times and have had good experiences in the past, which is why what happened on September 8th around 7:30 p.m. was so disappointing. When my partner and I walked in, I could tell the restaurant may have been running behind. There were quite a few occupied tables, but I noticed that many people were still waiting for their food. We stood at the entrance for approximately five minutes without being greeted before Savannah E. eventually told us, "We'll be with you in a moment." She then went to another table and began clearing a table. Another waitress passed us and also said someone would be with us shortly. By this point, we had been standing there close to ten minutes. Eventually, Savannah returned, grabbed two menus, and was preparing to seat us. I politely asked if we could sit in a booth. Her immediate response was, "I guess," followed by an explanation that they were short-staffed and were trying to close down one side of the restaurant. Being short-staffed is completely understandable. Wanting to close a section of the restaurant is understandable. What I didn't appreciate was the attitude behind "I guess." A simple, "We're actually trying to close this section because we're short-staffed, but let me see what I can do," would have communicated the exact same thing while still making a customer feel welcome. What Savannah didn't know is that I have back issues, and sitting in a booth helps me remain upright and more comfortable while eating. I shouldn't have to disclose my medical history to make a simple seating request, but had she politely explained the situation, I would have gladly explained why I was asking. Afterward, she took the menus and walked across the restaurant toward a table without saying anything to us. There was no "right this way," "follow me," or even an indication that we should follow her. She simply walked to the table and looked back at us. At that point, I told my partner that I no longer felt comfortable staying, so we left without ordering. For context, I know Savannah's name because she has actually served me before. She was our waitress when I came to New Berlin Fish House the morning I was getting married, and I had no issue with her service then. I also keep photos of my receipts, so I was able to confirm her name from that previous visit. I'm mentioning this because I don't want anyone to think I am randomly identifying an employee or guessing who assisted us. I understand that restaurants get busy. I understand being short-staffed. I understand employees having stressful nights. What I don't think customers should have to accept is feeling like they're an inconvenience simply for walking through the door and asking for a booth. For someone who doesn't get out often, this was supposed to be an enjoyable night out. Instead, we left before we ever had the opportunity to eat. That's especially disappointing because I genuinely like New Berlin Fish House and have chosen to spend my money there many times before. Customer service matters just as much as the food. When I spend my money somewhere, I don't expect perfection, but I do expect to feel welcome.
