This Rowe's is smaller compared to the Baymeadows location and has less space for parking but they do have tge delicious Guanábana (Soursop) with pulp for $1.39 and is less than 20 cents here. Checkout is easy, staff was courteous and it is a very relaxed spot to shop for groceries. read more

Rowe's Supermarket - Soursop Drink - Convenience Stores Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Bought Gold Flour here for baking and they have it available and there are lots of meat selections and Deli items near the checkout area and there is usually a 8-12 minute wait for your order, especially the sandwiches as they have to put the condiments and selected proteins. Good place to grab a quick lunch and lots of food and drink items too for the whole family and the ambiance is very easygoing. read more

I found most everything as always, however, what happened to the fabalous Butter Rum and Pstachio muffins?? They were no where to be found. I found some really small muffins, but not what I wanted. Please bring them back!!! The only thing that would make this store better , is if you could do a drive by pisk up, esepcially of yoour deli dinners!! read more

I make special trips to ROWE's Supermarkets just because they have items which are not available at Publix or WinnDixie. The amount of ethnic foods at ROWE's is amazing and priced very reasonably. I try and stock up on the items that I particularly love such as Karl's bread and Latino sweet biscuits. They are so yummy. It's tight quarters here and a lot of people shop here so be prepared to not rush thru. It's almost single file around the store. read more

I visited Rowe's IGA last night at the suggestion of a family member since there were meats I had grown accustomed to in my 30 years of living in South Florida. The store was clean but the customer service was horrible! I was followed around the store like I was a fugitive from justice or if I was ducking and dodging ICE. Many of the employees do not speak English and treat those of us who do as suspects. Staff also attempted to force me to use self-checkout even while I was in the line at the register. I stood my ground and continued to remain in line. I have never in my life had such a horrible shopping experience and treated with such disrespect. read more

UPDATE 8-30-23 re: Absolutely Rude Clerk I quick update. Tony Diaz Operations Manager at this location immediately contacted me and has looked into this situation. I was very pleased with the outcome and Store Manager Thomas Martin has been made aware of this incident as well. The clerk will be retrained and has been made aware this behavior will not be tolerated. ALL WAS CAUGHT ON CAMERA along with audio. Surely pleased with the outcome. Will be returning once again. Thank you Tony for handling this in a very professional manner. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Absolutely rude clerk! Barbara ID 101 light skinned woman, glasses and small tat on her left hand tended to my mother and I. Not at all courteous and lacked any level of customer service skills. This woman must be having a bad day but no excuse to treat your clients less than. I've worked in the customer service industry for YEARS and I've never met someone so rude and extremely unhappy. I was under the impression that any and all customers should be treated with the utmost respect and with much decency. Not a hello or goodbye at any point. While we bagged our groceries, this woman took no care to handle any item carefully as she abruptly pushed the items towards me and ruined one of our items which we endeavored to take care of. Our sweet bread was ruined and she paid no mind to her mishandling of our EXPENSIVE products. Really disappointed with this experience. Not my first time here but certainly will be my last. I will be sure to share this on all social media and post these reviews throughout the web. Fortunately I have a large following of the latino community and will be contacting corporate as well. Either retrain this woman or let her go. Any and all experiences should be great especially when you're patronizing latin establishments as this. Rob Rowe CEO will be made aware of this along with the district manager for this establishment. Learn to treat your customers right!!! read more

This is literally a one stop shop for all of your cooking needs. Any time my puerto rican wife decides to cook something more cultural, she always goes to this location for what she needs. I usually come here to eat lunch, as they have an area where they serve food during certain hours. read more

This grocery store is nice, but kind of weird also. The first thing I purchase here is their frozen bad of boiled peanuts. All you have to do is heat them up. We used to buy all of our ground chuck here. I think they stopped selling ground chuck and went to ground beef only. Overall, the store is nice. read more

If I purchased items from other countries, I'd probably love this store and give it more stars. But I'm boring and just purchase the regular 'ole American kinda items. They have plenty of those kinda items here too, but most are the same price as you'll find at others stores. Sometimes the items are higher, and sometimes they are cheaper if they are on sale that particular week. Much like the other grocery stores. I happened to have this weird kind of affection for their mustard potato salad which can be found in the deli for just $2.99 for two pounds. Hubby and I just love the stuff. I actually go out of my way to get potato salad from Rowe's. At any rate, they do carry a huge variety of Asian, Caribbean, and Hispanic items. If you're looking for those things, you'll more than likely find everything you are looking for here. Since I don't purchase those products, I can't say if they are expensive or not. The store is clean and well organized. Other than the employees at the front of the store, I didn't see too many around, so it may be difficult to find help. And the employees at the front of the store stay pretty darn busy. Checking out is a breeze. They have pretty much all the registers going and the cashiers are fast and friendly. You can definitely get through the line quickly. read more

I am in love with this market- first, it's fun to see goods from all over the world and their deli/seafood case is crazy with octopus and other delicacies. I did discover that for 15 years I have been buying Sazon in little packets when it is sold in a regular season shaker! I have never seen the shaker in a regular store! You can get fruits and veggies too that you may not have ever tried! I have been here when it is packed and when it's not- and the cashiers are always keeping the line moving! Be sure to go by the bakery too- treats!!! And try something new! There is plenty to find in this store! read more

Finally found a place that is stocked in Caribbean food products. Sorrell Breadfruit Fresh coconut Fresh sour oranges (zorang si) Black Castor Oil Callaloo (canned) Browning Scotch Bonnet - yes not the Habero but the scotch bonnet :-) Teas for every aliment and flavor (island folks love tea) It seems to have everything outside of dutch pots. I found my breadfruit! I wanted to raise it over my head like a championship cup when I found it. Then I was like...hold up...how much? ... $%*! The cost are a bit high but it's to be expected. But I'm extremely impressed by their big selection of items. And the meat and fish was so fresh I would have thought this place sat on water. read more

if I could give them a 0 I would purchased a lot of crab legs they should have known they need ice on them, the lady told me they were fresh, well by the time I got home they were stinking I called the store and the lady kept hanging up the phone on me I was trying to tell her if I could get fresher crab legs. Rude and I would never shop here again, I'm not Hispanic but that should not matter. Professionalism matter and so does word of mouth. read more

This market is awesome to me. I love the variety and availability of international spices and specialties particularly Asian and Spanish cuisine. They have prepared hot dishes sold by the lb. It isn't neat and organized like some other popular grocery chains but this particular location is known for it's abundance of international brands at reasonable prices. We stocked up on the guava nectar juices as well as some other island favorites. Definitely a cool market for your unique spices, canned goods, baked goods and meats not found at your chain grocery store. read more

This is my favorite store to find all my ethnic foods from Honduras and even Cuban quesitos!!! I mean, I know they are processed and definitely not fresh, but there really isn't anywhere that I can find good fresh ones. Their butchers are awesome for fresh cut meats and their prices per pound are the lowest I've seen around. I usually stock up for the month if I can because it is so cheap and I love their little food bar at the front. This is a great place to find octopus to make a ceviche and their fish is pretty well priced, as well. I absolutely love coming here but I do have to try to come in the middle of the day when everybody is working because this place will pack out pretty quick. It's also one of the only places I can find Wise Onion Rings. YUM! read more

Only been in this store a few times now but never a bad experience so far. Mostly go for the international food section (it's pretty impressive). Prices are pretty good. Atmosphere is laid back. Most of the employees happily greet you. They have a popcorn machine that makes all kinds of flavored popcorn. A cotton candy machine and the seafood is SO visually pleasing how everything is laid out. I go here weekly now. read more

What A Wonderful Very Clean Super Market Newly Renovated With Everything You Need At Very Low Prices

Rowe's in a way reminds me of a bodega, and a small grocery store(which is what it really is)all in one. This is the place to go if you're looking for fruits, vegetables, foods, drinks, etc. from many Hispanic, Asian and Caribbean countries. They also carry your basic everyday run of the mill groceries that any of your local supermarkets would carry, but here most of the time it's actually cheaper then at let's say a Publix or Winn-Dixie. The only things that I would recommend that you purchase elsewhere are your personal hygiene items, and basically anything that isn't food related(not only will you find that the prices are much higher for those items at Rowe's, but they also don't have much to choose from when it comes to those items...)other then that if you are looking for something unique when it comes to food you should definitely give Rowe's a try. If for nothing else you'll have a very cool grocery shopping expedition:-) read more

It was hard to find all the stuff I needed to make Salvi food until I found Rowes. Now I am back in charge of my kitchen, whipping up fresh pupusas, arepas, and homemade flour tortillas! I can't believe this grocery store has been here for so long and I've only just started coming here. The parking lot has a lot of spots but can get really busy at times. With people even parking in the reserves lined off area for the handicaps spaces. The grocery carts are spacious but it's obvious they have had some years put on them. The produce area has a lot of good options and they are very very reasonably priced. Many of the option are better deals than what I have seen publix or Winn Dixie offer. Their meat options are also very very competitive and cost much less than the other grocery stores. Take for example the boneless skinless chicken breast which costs right now about $1.99/lb! The bakery is also just as tasty and it's really hard to walk out without some tasty guava pastries or quesitos. The rest of the grocery store is hit or miss as far as finding a really good deal. One thing I will mention is that they have a very very extensive inventory of Hispanic/Latin food items. So why the four stars instead of five? Well their meats don't seem to last very long in the fridge. If you buy them I recommend using them within a day or two. And second, the store does have a bit of a weird smell but nothing is visibly bad or anything. Overall I've had good experiences here and the quality is pretty good. read more

Im giving this grocery store ALL STARS! They've got majority of different ingredients u need (from Asian to Carribean, Spanish..& many more). And by the way, majority of their meats are all fresh! Not to mention the prices are all affordable! From bones, meats to tails (they got it). Fresh chickens. Fresh produce too! In the bakery section, I always buy 2 loaves of the Cuban breads they have. It's like a must buy, must eat bread. Oven fresh! Only bad thing is, don't go in the afternoon or rush hours, because it can get crowded. Parking is kinda hard those hours. read more

Here is the 411, as long as you don't expect Publix customer service you will do just fine shopping at Rowe's. The cashiers are not friendly at all and this have been my experience with several other Rowe's location as well, with that being said I need Rowe's supermarket in my life. You will find almost anything here, and if you like ethnic spices this is most likely the place you will find it. I do not visit quite often as I would like to due to the employees attitudes, as it is a little bit of a drive for me too but when I do visit I stock up. A little F.Y.I most Rowe's employees seems to be friendlier to a particular crowd like the locals that lives in their area and if you're someone from the suburbs Like me you might feel a little out of place. I do wish they would hire less Hispanics cashiers and mixed it up by adding whites, blacks cashiers or other races included because having to deal with those ladies at checkout can ruin the shopping experience. Like I stated before don't expect a "Hello" a smile or a "Thank You" get your groceries pay and go you will be just fine. Want a "Welcome" "Hello" or friendly customer service save it for Whole Foods or Publix. read more
