The staff was friendly and the inside has the usual convenience store items that you would expect from a 7-Eleven, including their hot food offerings. Greatly needed edition to the downtown area. It's on Union, but the gas pumps face State Street. Wanted to throw that in there to give orientation because all the streets downtown are one-way. Unlike some other convenience stores (there aren't many) downtown, this one is nice and clean. It's your typical 7-Eleven, so you'll find the usual. Yay for Slurpees!! Friendly staff. God help them, these employees work hard to make this place nice. This is conveniently located a couple blocks from the downtown bus station and there's always a couple transients loitering in the parking lot. There's always some trash in the parking lot you can't help it because of the area but it does seem that they make an effort to try to clean it up. I have never visited here without being approached by a panhandler or a crazy person or both. Today I was approached by a guy and a Sunday church pinstripe suit asking for gas money but he didn't have a car LOL. I swear it's never boring. Surprisingly for the area they have a good selection of refrigerated deli food and a good selection of coffees. They have roller food galore and pizza and wings hot and ready most of the time at least during the day when I stop in. Gas prices are a little higher than our other places in the city but it is downtown so that is to be expected. I guess it says a lot that I would stop in here for my hot tea fixed rather than go to the snooty places around here of which there are plenty. A dollar six including tax for a 20 ounce coffee refill. Or in my case a hot tea refill. Cashiers greet you with a smile. That's the way it supposed to be in anybody who could smile while the crazy parade comes through is OK in my book. read more

A horrific stain on the city of Jacksonville! This store downtown's parking lot looks like a dump depot the sidewalks and the driveways are stained with litter the landscaping is on kept. The shell station across the street has a clean and neet parking lot. Yet another Exploitation of a poor neighborhood like Dollar General they come and and exploit the needy and do nothing to raise the neighborhood. read more

They take care of most of my needs. I am so glad they decided to have a Downtown location. They have fresh fruit, hot food, ices and basically anything else you might need. I am happy that 7-11's finally came back to Jax. This store is very clean. But, be very careful of your surroundings in this downtown area. Lots of desperate and or homeless people. Recently opened on a long-vacant lot in the heart of downtown. Gasoline available. It can be a bit tough to get into the parking lot, especially if anyone is waiting for gas. Once in, it's even tougher to exit. Three entrances: Union - eastbound, State - westbound, and Main - southbound. Exits to Main and State. I've seen JSO using the clearly-marked "DO NOT ENTER" driveway to exit onto Union more than once. I guess/hope they'll give the Shell station on the opposite corner of Main and Union a reason to rethink their outrageous gasoline prices. So far, it appears NOT to be a hang-out for the homeless and under-engaged. read more

I went last night and got accosted by three male transients! Every single time I've gone to this 7-Eleven the homeless people are always around but normally keep their distance - here and there they will ask for change or food, etc. This time it was creepy - one wanted to pump my gas, the other two asked me for money and one seemed annoyed that I wouldn't spare change. The owners know what's going on and they don't care - it is unsafe and uncomfortable! Do not go to this business until they shape up and start taking responsibility for what is happening on their property!!!! read more

Ok, it's a downtown gas station. How many places can you get the things you would want when you want it? Then ask yourself of those places, how many would you really want to go to? It all boils down to this 7-11! I would not wan to go anywhere but here! They got gas at competitive prices, fresh food like wings and pizza hot dogs that are not accessible to the customers which makes it a lot better than that mystery dog at other places. And the amount of choices of other foods like doughnuts, salads, subs and sandwiches, Fresh FRUIT CUPS, and the home of the original Slurpee! Seriously, we need this years ago, but 7-11 stepped up and truly winners! The homeless are a few, but STOP giving them stuff or just say NO and they won't show up. Bathrooms are 95% usually really clean! That's a lot better then most drug stores! Things I'm skipping out on but want to mention that are great are the coffee selection, wide variety of snacks, drinks, other hot food (try the jam party's) and be nice to the staff, because you will get even better service for it! For years, downtown advocates and the Springfield community have hounded the Shell station to clean up its store but were pooh poohed by their management as this area is not worthy. When 7 Eleven put its new store right here (a stones throw from run down Shell) we cheered. It's always busy and decently kept. Happy to have 7 Eleven downtown since its services are sorely needed and shows that businesses and people are finally giving downtown the attention it needs (and deserves). read more

This store is relativity new and for the area bold. To even build a store here. Let's just say that it's not the best side of town. The place is open and clean. The store crew really does a good job. They keep it well stocked as well. The gas is a little high but it is the only store for miles. Bravo to the employees. read more
