I am truly loving this new Gate on our side of town. It's about time they built one for us. And it's right down the street from River City Marketplace. A lot of pumps with plenty of space in between so you're not all jammed in next to one another. We get gas here quite often and we've never had to wait for a pump. Gas prices are competitive with this area of town. This Gate has been here for about a year now and I'm amazed at how clean both the inside of the store is and also the outside near (and by) all the pumps. Inside you'll find all the bells and whistles of the new gas stations/convenience store. Hot food items, sandwiches, milkshake machine (really good milkshakes too), and the shining star which is the froyo machines and bar! Since it's open 24/7, I can't tell you the number of times I've had the hubby run get me froyo in the middle of the time. That's my absolutely favourite thing about this Gate. FROYO!!!! YESSSSS!!!! Like all of the gates, this place is clean and big and well stocked. The employees were not bad and the employees were not good, they did their job and we're not noteworthy in any material away. The selection is very good and the place is always extremely clean. You can guarantee that the parking lot will have been recently cleaned and it doesn't even seem to have a grease stains on it which is pretty remarkable. The ice tea is always fresh and there are good condiments for the coffee. I have a guilty pleasure hitting that roller Grill and it's always hot and fresh. Whenever I am nearby I make a point of stopping here. This is just a couple miles from the airport and so much better than the gas stations all around the airport area. read more

Only giving a 2 star rather than lower only because they are usually meh / ok. Never above and beyond like most Gate stations. The new one on NewBerlin has outstanding employees with smiles and engaging conversations... and remember you when you come in. Today on way to River City I stopped to quickly get gas .... Went inside and it was a discombobulated mess people delivering pallets of product no organized operations - no clear lines of who was next - I simply walked up to an open cashier - then was quickly reprimanded by the cashier who said that I needed to get in line so I asked several people and asked were they at the end of the line. I did not know there was an order- I actually did not end up buying the newspapers because now I was on the far end and then the same cashier waves me over and said you're next so I walked back and he threw my items in the bag. I had to tell him three times how much on what pump ... Never greeted me never looked at me was totally rude, so I said how was your day I asked him for my receipt. He then asked did I need anything I said my receipt so he threw in the bag didn't even close the bag.- I said "Thank you" Gracias - and told him He was not helpful at all. Do not eat any of the food at this gas station. I have gotten food poisoning 2 times here. Today I got it from the sausage empanada. Which was all I ate before I found myself uncontrollably vomiting 3 hrs later. read more

I love the convenience of this Gate! The coffee is always hot any time of the day. They have a variety of creamers so you can change up the flavors when you like. If you're interested in a quick slice of pizza, breakfast sandwich or a salad, you can stop by the Fresh kitchen. Do you want an sweet treat? Grab a few Krispy Kreme donuts or get some Yobe frozen yogurt and dress it up how you like. Also, they have plenty of drinks and snacks to choose from. I just pumped gas. It was the cheapest in the area according to gas buddy and as close as I could get to the airport where I had to return the rental car to fly back to Miami. I didn't go into the convenience store, but the pump worked as they was supposed to and I went on my way, which is basically the best I can say about any gas station :) read more

My first visit to this location was very pleasant and service was great. The most recent stop was marred by a chance encounter with an older drunken female customer who was clearly not playing with a full deck. I'm not used to being shouted at and cursed by complete strangers at random, with no prior contact of any sort, and I don't recommend it. While the employees seemed to feel sorry for my encounter, they made no attempt to diffuse the situation or to ask the woman to leave the store, which I certainly felt was warranted after she crossed the length of the store to attempt to draw me into a shouting match, which she was sorely disappointed that I did not entertain. The store is clean and I had no trouble finding any item I was looking for, but beware some of the clientele. read more

Now this is the newest and I was told largest Gate store in town. It's the more modern of all of Gate Petroleum ventures. Gate has started to bring back the food service they used to have many years ago. They make fresh sandwiches and pizzas in the new Fresh Kitchen section dead slap in the middle of the store. Now I used to build these stores for 24 some years many years ago. This location was a want for Mr. Levitt who used to buy land for new locations about 15 years ago. I did get to talk to the manager about this new store that opened last week. It is a very pretty store and the guys that built it did a fabulous job. This store is wide open with plenty of space in between the gondola shelving. I really like the design and almost building these stores. I do know that John Payton sure likes to be in the design lead in the C-Store industry. There is a lot of modern design to this store with the outside seating complete with bose music playing. The gas pumps are also on the modern side but the prices are always last weeks numbers. Normally they are the cheapest prices in the area.
